Pidgin client not connecting to Fleet chat

Hello

I have been using the Pidgin XMPP chat client for out of game chat fro over a month now.

I have to say that its really nice, and a great feature for gold subscribers.

But I have a problem with it today...

I can send and receive chats to people that are on my friends list from inside the game.

But when i try to connect to fleet chat, i get an error:

Error joining chat (fleet name)
Registration Required


I've never gotten that before.. and if i get in game, fleet chat is working fine.

Has anyone seen this before?

The only times I ever had a problem connecting with Fleet channels were when I removed one of my alts from the fleet, and one time when they changed the way the chat system handled spaces in fleet names. If it doesn't clear up with the next patch/maintenance day, try Adding the chat all over again in Pidgin.

That's interesting because i did remove an alt from the fleet over the weekend. And I know it was working fine before the weekend...

I have tried adding it back, but it still gives me the same message...

It sounds like you'll probably have to wait for the next server reset (patch/maintenance day). It's an inconvenience, but I don't know of any other ways to get it working again.
