Being quite excited about the Odyssey and Bortaqu' updates I jumped on to Tribble last night. It was only then that I realized none of my toons are in fleets on Tribble. So while I could see the new Veteran Long Coats, I can't see the new Fleet unis.

If anyone has a tailor-capable Fleet on Tribble, please send invites to:
    Fed:
    Havelock Vetinari@PatricianVetinari
    Pym@PatricianVetinari

    KDF:
    Tu'rook@PatricianVetinari
    Alira@PatricianVetinari

    Thanks!

Anyway, I love the new Vet Ody Long Jacket. It's very sharp! Likewise, the Bort Long Jacket is fantastic! It's about time KDF get a full length Klingon jacket (now if we can only get THIS released for Player use). But, hey-hey! How often do we see the Feds only get 2x new costumes (Dress, Tac) while KDF gets 3x (Ceremonial, Guardian, Ops)? I mean, how cool is that!?

It's nice to see the Crafting Dilithium prices come down so significantly. I would not have gambled my Dilithium at the old prices. I might do now, if the items seem interesting enough. So far, few have, even at these new prices (especially when I consider the guaranteed items I can get from my Rep/Fleet stores).

Interesting change on the Nanoenergy Cells. I'll have to give those more consideration now. And happy to see that you worked out the Horta pets and Hargh'Peng before release. The Aegis set seems great! Though, I'm not sure I see the point of the 2-pc power. I have some Alts still using Aegis on Holodeck, I'll look forward to getting the improvements.

See? Now why couldn't you guys have added a "Romulan" variant? That way our Romulan Captains, who are FORCED to join Fed (or KDF) Fleets could wear FLEET EXCLUSIVE uniforms.

    • The Jem’Hadar ground costume set must be unlocked on the character first.

    There's a Jem'hadar ground costume???
Yeah, it unlocks when you buy the JH Lobi Armor.

    Speaking of, to the Devs, will we be seeing these "missing" accessories added to the Jem Hadar Armor (courtesy of artan42's post);

The Marauding Assignment "Break Into Memory Alpha's Computer Network" is now disabled, and will no longer appear in any availability lists.
    • Any players with this assignment in progress will find it completed immediately, and rewards have been altered to match "Raid on Research Facility."

I'm not sure why this doff assignment was removed. Even if the map is gone, doesn't Memory Alpha technically still exist in the STO universe?

A request for the devs please:

Logging into Tribble I have got my crafting titles and my R&D Aegis doff, Gummara, but is there please any chance of highlighting this is an R&D specialist boff as being common it will get thrown into the first fleet project you go to donate to which will seriously upset a lot of folks. Just making the doff green quality should be enough to stop that happening.

    Thanks

Else are we going to find these specialist doffs as common as muck so it doesnt really matter?

I like the new uniform variants. best in the game so far for the most part. not sure about the belt buckles and the badge number 2.

If you want a skirt you can use the academy one. But would there be a chance to get an open uniform variant as well plus a without-jacket-version with the just an undershirt?

Cool ideas. Maybe an Ody take on the Captain's waistcoat too.

where exactly do we go to trade in our old mats for the new mats?
    Murphy's laws:
1- Murphy’s Law tells us that anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
2- And anything that does go wrong will get progressively worse.
3- And if you survive the first two laws it’s time to panic.

Just right click them to use in your inventory to open a dialog directly.

I was about to do /e Dance_Happy until I saw that they weren't final.

For the love of players, keep it at THIS level!

I still smell a rat in r&d but need following to get what we need was in explore area what 1440 dilthium most get it doing a dayail so where you complaining on dilthium it really should be data samples that your lacking explore areas were best here and crafting needs them and should be noted to writer that he breaking a prime dircective and should be on court marshall asap or sat.

I've been busy but one suggestion I would have regarding crafting and the dil prices:

Let the first one people complete be a grind but I feel like this kind of system (both logically and from a play mechanics side) should have an inverse grind curve.

My take would be, rather than lower the prices any further, to make it so that acquiring skill in any one area increases your rate of gains in other areas.

Such that each crafting area might, for example, give an increase to rate of gains in all other areas.

    For example:

Each rank of Science (from 1-6) increases crafting gains in all areas by 1% per tier. Each rank from 7-14 increases gains in all areas by 2% per tier. Each rank from 15-20 increases gains by 3% per tier. For a total of 40% gains to all areas from completing Science.

This encourages tackling the crafting specializations one at a time, allowing casual characters to progress better without giving hardcore players (who probably try to level all up at once) as much advantage since leveling 7 at once will be more resource intensive than one at a time. (A similar philosophy could be applied to fleet holdings as a way of benefiting small fleets and newer fleets by encouraging on maxing out one area rather than balancing the fleet holding sub-categories.)

This means if you do them one at a time, your last crafting area would level at an additional 240% (or 340% total) speed.

In terms of simulation, it represents that gaining experience with crafting probably lends itself to learning other types of crafting.

Awesome update. Gonna look it up on the weekend.
Great news about the crafted horta and the nanoenergy cells. And if they are available to all weapons even better :)

Nice updates, still not going to gamble Dilithium on a chance, but it is a start.

Rare particle traces need to convert in either rare or very rare new materials. Under no circumstances should they ever convert in to green or common!!

    Foundry:
Numerous ships have been added to the ship costume creator:
Armitage, Thunderchild, Venture, Regent, Gladius, Sao Paulo, Exeter, Tempest, Rhode Island, Bellerophon, Aventine, Rademaker, Vesta, Avenger.
TOS Dress and Medical uniform have been added to the ground costume creator.

    No Koro'T'inga or Vor'kang?

No KDF Academy and Bortasqu outfits?

No Romulan TOS, TNG, Tal'Shiar, and the KDF and Fed variant uni9forms? :(

If you're telling me to get more samples, my bank is (now converted) filled with trace particles, and other crafting materials. The easiest way to get this stuff is to replay (or go through for unleveled toons) missions to get particles, play PVE quenes (when the new system hits), and do patrol missions. I thank Cryptic for giving VR or R materials if you complete PVE.

Though dilithium is easy to get, it's just that most of us don't want to risk 20,000 dil for a chance for a VR, R, or even UC item! I could use that much dil to get Fleet stuff!

They'll likely be in C-Store packs and probably the next generation of lockboxes. I also got one out of the new R&D Doff mission at the Academy, a long cycle on that one but so far the rewards aren't bad.

    Aegis Set:
    • Aegis Technologies Set:
      • All set pieces are now Mk XII instead of Leveless. This has the effect of making the bonuses fixed at a higher value than previously available, but they no longer scale.
      • All set pieces now require level 50 to equip.
    • Aegis Hyper-Impulse Engines:
      • The former 2-piece Set Bonus (Thoron Distortion Field) is now a base aspect of the Aegis Engines.
    • Aegis Deflector Array:
      • No specific changes
    • Aegis Covariant Shield Array:
      • Prevous skill bonuses have been replaced with direct increases to the stats they previously affected. This means increased Shield Power and Shield Capacity.
      • Added a [ResAll] Mod
      • The former 3-piece Set Bonus (Adaptive Shielding) is now a base aspect of the Aegis Shield.
    • Aegis Set Bonuses: (NEW!)
      • 2-Piece Set Bonus - "Energy Negation" : Passive. Once every 30 seconds, you will be immune to incoming damage for 0.2sec
      • 3-Piece Set Bonus - "Energy Feedback Conductor" : Toggle, 10sec Duration. +100 All Energy Resistance Rating, Reduce Shield Damage by 30%. Gain +2% Bonus Energy Damage each second if you are hit, for up to 10 seconds.

I wold like to know if the current leveless pieces will be transitioned to the new ones or are we going to need to make/buy new ones?

ATM on Tribble, any Aegis set pieces you have have been given the upgrade (although I'm not sure if they have been given the level yet).

Still hoping to see what those new bortasqu variants look like...i have three toons waiting in the wings to acquire them :D

the dil reductions on crafting is welcome, now if they'd just get on that random mod business :P

and the fix for romulan KDF outfits....man i love that, very frustrating trying to get things to match with that glitch

also, if there are any fleets on tribble with the tailor unlock taking new recruits ^^

While we have clothing items on the dock, please fix the Embassy and Diplomacy/Marauding Boffs to be able to change outfits as others can. Special Boffs from mission rewards would be nice as well but at least the former ones.

    Thanks

While the reduction in dilithium has been a step forward the random possibility still makes the cost less than worthwhile. Given that it was reduced I will be keeping a more attentive eye on this update. Given the flexibility of the system in regards to expansion tweaking things we complain about will be easier.

Also the crashing for some reason is still an issue. Hopefully that will be fixed before it is launched on holodeck.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a more fare exchange of the trace particles to give all blues.
