Command has asked me to take temporary command of the Jones, pending an investigation. You and your crew are not going to be detained, however Starfleet is being slightly paranoid due to past experience with shapeshifters. Honestly I think its mostly just a formality right now given the unusual circumstances. And after what you and your crew have been through... I'd consider this Shore Leave honestly.
I'll have more teams beam over to assist with repairs in the meantime, and I'll welcome input from your crew as they know all her quirks.
In the meantime I can have a briefing package set up for you to bring you up to speed on this reality.

Back in the 2370s we fought a war with the Dominion, a Gamma Quadrant superpower lead by shapeshifters. More recently we've had run ins with the Undine, a species capable of shapeshifting that comes from a dimension called Fluidic Space who tried to destablize both the Federation and Klingon Empire.
So... Command's just covering the bases on this one. Not only that, we're probably going to be hearing from Temporal Investigations...
Its all a big headache. I can understand where you're coming from Captain. I wouldn't want to either if our situation was reversed, especially in "uncharted territory" like this for you. *the club is filled with music and dancing. many off duty starfleet officers and a some civilians unwinding from long shifts and shore leave. none of the people really stand out until she sees a woman sitting by herself near a large window. she looks small only 5'6 in height and pale with black hair pulled into a neatly made ponytail. the most immediately noticeable thing about her is the ocular implant that emits a red beam. the implant runs along the side of her head with two tubes going into the top of her skull and base of her neck. she looks around as if expecting some one*
