*they turn the corner and get shot at by a laser turret, which nate blows away, guarding a reinforced door with a terminal nestled in the wall to the right of the door, matt walking up and cracking his fingers as he boots up the terminal, realizing 5 seconds in that they're up against a major problem* uh oh...i can't hack this one - it's using one of robco's military operating systems - it needs a password just to boot up, so i can't get into any back doors to try and hack the password that way
(and of course, someone who just ran through could be looking for HOURS since they stuck the password in a completely nonsensical place...namely, the toolbox next to the skeleton holding the quantum they just passed)

with what? we don't have a missile launcher, we don't have any mini nukes or c-4, and even if we had enough corridor here for nate to get up to speed, i don't think even the power armor would be able to break through this, and i seriously doubt a military base stocks any sort of acid strong enough to...eat...through...no, they wouldn't, but i do *he immediately starts rummaging through his pack until he finds what he's looking for, pulling out a container* fluoroantimonic acid - 2×10^19 times stronger than pure sulfuric acid...it'll eat through even solid metal in seconds

*he waits long enough for the acid to finish eating through enough of the door and concrete so they won't get any on them as they pass through, then carefully steps through the gap* huh...looks like this was an armory/storage area - no wonder it had better security than most of the other terminals we've come across so far *he says as he scoops up more rad-x and stimpacks, as well as two boxes of bobby pins* no idea why they had bobby pins stored here...*he then uses one of those bobby pins and a screwdriver to pick the lock on another security gate separating the storage area from the armory proper and pokes his head inside to see what's on offer* BOOYA! fat man AND two mini nukes! *he walks over and picks it up, handing it to nate so he can grab the MFCs and boxes of 10mm ammo and put them in his pack* not really sure evena fat man was worth using the acid, but...*he exits the room and hangs a left down a rubble-strewn hallway and peers into a room on the left* oh, these must've been officer's quarters...they look way nicer than those rooms we ducked into back when those laser turrets started shooting at us, plus they have REAL beds, not bunks
