What did people THINK was going to happen? Players formed up a channel and organized a 24/7 exploit dil farm. People were stripping off all gear and just standing there to be shot as fast as possible to farm as fast as possible. And it was not a small group of people, it seemed like half the server was in on the action. The nerf is totally 100% player caused and self inflicted. Next time you figure out a way to get dil fast, keep it to yourself!

Male the private matchez not count and only the normal queues count for the three. Easy easy.

the devs have known about the arena and cap n hold channels/private queues, its been going on since year one.
they said they were happy about it and it didn't bother them.
so why the turn around ? new money men in the seat maybe ?

Maybe we oughta hire the guy who played Gowron to go to Cryptic and do the 'crazy eyes' at whoever did that all day.

Exactly... I doubt very highly they where happy about people setting up dive private matches. If someone has a dev quote that says they are fine with channels that exist for players to setup 9v1 no shields aoe slaughter fests for fast D.... I would love to see that.

    This is really annoying

had no choice but to do pve to get rep gear
get the tiers up doing the same missions against AI`s again and again and again
could pvp to get daily dil cap and never have to do them again at least for the dil cap, became choice where what gear / what marks
now, have to do PVE , have no choice but to do PVE for daily dil cap

Still no ingame leaderboard, even tho an independent one been running for ages

Still no team balancer in the PUG queue, even tho pretty much every other game out there does it

ok, so would be more difficult with this as anyone can fly anything (almost) but could at least do it by the ship class. and if a leaderboard like hilberts balance it by dps / heal

Thank you for making us have no choice but to do PvE
thank you for removing a large impetus towards doing PvP in a game with no rankings, no leaderboard, at least was nice could not have to do the same fricking pve missions again and again and again for the daily cap.

now where is a kitten I can murder and make a hat from.

Dev's aren't the ones that make the final call on what is or isn't allowed in game. It's the producers and exec's that do. So yes, a dev can say it's fine but what the Producer or the EP says can and has been known to say otherwise and they can change their minds pretty regularly :P

Good point. Still don't think anyone is going to dig up that quote though. No game designer, or person that has any pride in there work wants to see it debased in the way people where doing with that stuff.

When I setup the Tyler Durden Channel for Organized Random Matches (before we got the solo que)... I was shocked when all these pve guys started coming in and asking stupid things like how we where going to throw it fast... or inviting me to there throw the match channels. I had no idea that element of players existed until then. Made me sick.

i found out about it similarly. suddenly got an invite, and it was set up 1v7 or 8 by then. was like this is a bit imbal, especially with someone like me on the populated team, here were like wtf you talkin bout. oh what are these pve kiddies up to i thought, then the game starts and its ground, and before i could figure out what the hell could possibly be going on, all 9 of us were getting orbital striked.

when the match ended about 3 seconds later, not even my denseness prevented me finally figuring out what they were doing.

Likely story don't worry I'm sure your covered if they ban people. lol ;) kidden.

I was the same way I didn't get in a match with them... but a few of them ended up in early TD matches... and I think they where extremely confused as to what was going on. They where expecting 1min matches and they got a 60min TD match. HAHA

When they where explain there channel to me afterward (or before can't remember) I was completely not getting it either. It took me awhile then it clicked and I was like eeewwww what the hell. lol

I hope folks that read these many posts, realize that their voice does matter, and if they post about the dil rewards nerf, that cryptic may just find another solution to the farming problem and not just hit us honest pvper with a punch to the face for pvping

    ^^^
THIS. For gods sake cryptic many PvP already posted proposals that would cut off the farming problem without actually upsetting PVPers, but I'll repeat again: make private matches not count for the three matches required for the daily quest. That's it nice easy and simple. now please cryptic do it please!

What's the point? With the new gimmick weapon du jour it's been proven that if you're not a science rommie in a scimitar you won't win the decloak-and-proc wars. It's now officially as broken as ground pvp, in which you're a useless sack of TRIBBLE if you're not a sci caitian. PvP queues take 2 hours or more to pop for me and other guildmates. They don't want players in combat against each other. Cryptic doesn't want pvp in this game anymore.

Seems to me this would just bring said farmers into queue games unless that afk penalty applies to pvp. Never gotten that so no idea how that works.

Well, space not withstanding, I disagree with the assertion that sci Caitain are the only viable thing to run in ground pvp. Caitain as a race are powerful no doubt. That's why they cost zen and while the dodge thing can be annoying, no one is unbeatable simply because they are playing one. At the same time no one playing one should deny the advantage it gives vs other races. I'm perfectly happy with my aliens and don't feel any NEED to roll caitain to be able to play competitively.

It's Cryptic's No Win Scenario. There is no way to fix people exploiting PvP for rewards outside of such time limited changes.

With all the threads where folks have been asking for more and more rewards for PvP, how were they ignoring what has happened in various other games with the "Efficiency" groups - those groups that try to lose as fast as possible or the groups that would try to Win-Trade as fast as possible to get rewards?

You can set up rewards in PvE for only when you win - you can't do that in PvP. In PvE, the NPCs aren't going to throw the match like players could in PvP.

Restricting it from private matches won't stop them from showing up in the public queues - Hell, they've already been there all along.

People suck. Cryptic can't fix that.

How wrong are you from 1 to 47?
    I'd say over 9000.
I have tac escort and dyson ship, Rom tac on vaper, sci on nebula. All three work fine, and they are not decloak and proc dudes on scimitar. None of them uses FAW. How's that for "oh nooo no balance in this PvP! PvP system sucks because I'm a noob and I can't do anything but blow up"
PvP offers some balance, space at least. You can be eng, tact or science and you will Never be useless if you know what to do. Maybe you need some lessons on how to PvP. I can teach you, send me an in game /tell or a mail at @giotariz...

Or, keep complaining about balance and drown in your noobness. Goodbye.

Risa summer event is stupid event. I feel boring in Risa. I'm not interested with sunglasses and bikini. So I wont go there. And.. I wont play this such stupid event.
I think Criptic is aware about this game is dying because they want make money despiste there is no gameplay.
They made romulan as OP faction. It made PvP as a pain.
Now they nerf dil. Why not. There is a long time I don't spend real money for a dying game with stupid events.

another simple way to circumvent frustration would have been to just raise the rewards for existing pvp missions. but yeah... only to not have this guess slipped away...
