    I've already commented regarding this change in another thread.

    Some employees at Cryptic must despise PvP deeply. Cryptic couldn't have expressed their contempt better, even if they tried.

    To the person who is directly responsible for this:

    No offense, but you are working in the wrong profession. Do yourself a favour and look for something else.

    I'm surprised nobody proposed what I would think is the obvious solution.... fix the damn ground map. *gasp* I know, a shocking answer!

    ermm.... isn't that already fact? as for me, i grab my "daily" (;)) pvp mission once a day and get a 20hr cd on em when done. i even barely play more than those 3 matches a toon (9 matches can be long ngh. between 3 and 6 or more hours ingame ^^).

    (fun fact on the side: yep, i earn like 50 fm's a day on one toon for pvping like about 1-2 hours. end of the day: 150 fm's on 3 toons and between ca. 4-10k dil for about 3-6 hours of pvp. now plz don't let any pve hero come near me :P)

    after all there's no reason at all to nerf the normal ones, where u already can get only a sad part of the ammount of dil u can get in the same time in pve, where EVERY SINGLE MAP/MISSION/MATCH/ROUND GRANTS A WHOLE LOTTA MORE DIL IN MUCH LESS TIME ALREADY... AND MARK-PACKS... BUT NO MARKS FOR 3-ROUNDS-OR-NO-DIL-PVP (lol-daily in that relation) WHILE U FIGHT SHIPS FROM ALL THE EVUL PVE/REP-ENEMIES.... AND THESE ONES SHOOT BACK! THESE ONES GONNA KILL U WITH EASE WHILE U STILL ASK "HOW DA HELL IS HE STILL ALIVE?!"... yep, not worth any rewards i guess :mad:...

    same thing can be said about the galaxy reboot. that was orchestrated by people that obviously hate the ship, to not give the R at least a universal ENS

    I'm reading this with disappointment. All they need to do is make some massive PvP incentives. I wrote about a PvP reputation thread that ultimately ended in flames from tards who can't see beyond their fawlorddpsrecordomg and consider the possibilities of it. I tried to even stay calm, but now I think they should make a so heavy update that you either play it or lose a valuable part of the game.

    It's time to stop with PvE queues added more and more and more. Hell I didn't even play Viscous Cycle or Assault queues because I refuse to do so! Shooting mindless NPCs is fun? How? The only thing that keeps me on STO is PvP, period, everything else can go TRIBBLE it.

    "PvP is broken! It's TRIBBLE! I tried once and never will again! I hate PvP!". These are the common words I hear from people. They should wake up and realise "hey, if I'm not doing good, maybe it's just me. How can I improve? What can I do?", Instead they come on forums and call for a nerf. It's when I meet these people that I think they should be forced to play PvP. When you go in BF4 you start yelling at the game when you get killed? Rage quit if someone hacks you on Watch Dogs? Dang it STO is no different. You quit when someone destroys you? actually whole team warps out for reasons that are beyond me. Where did all of this hatred for PvP came from? Compared to other MMOs STO makes it even easier to start with. :mad:

    Also another thing, in original thread that was posted in tribble notes , some ppl said that, IF PvP is only way to get you dill cap, than, you are doing it wrong. Well I would pretty much disagree on that one, because i have 2 tacs and 1 sci. I usually cap my tac`s first, trough STF`s and other PvE content. My sci on the other hand.. Well since I`m using 2 different ships and loadouts for PvE and PvP on sci, I would usually just do PvP to hit dill cap, i guess he loose 8.5k than...

    Cryptic, pls consider different aproach to this issue, since this one just don`t make any sense!!

    First in for most i am sorry with the decline of pvper's in the game i see as another further sign of cryptic intentions to the pvp community.........Saddy ne nerf to these rewards would deterr playing of star trek online sorry u derve the dilith u get from a pvp pug after pug of premade u going to take away a players reward for being a target.........This makes no sense and yes i see it as a death senttence to the pvp crowd....

    another reward u deserve taken away......... sorry with the amount of premade teams in pvp u deserve ne reward less reward less people with que sorry to say this is a clear sighn to come....

    There`s nothing that you should apoligize for.. Premade teams where nightmare for pug-ers before last 2 patches.. Now when we have 2 seperate queues for pug-ers and premades, those aren`t of concern anymore. Also dill farmers that where using queues instead of private matches, were benefiting from premade teams, since matches lasted few minutes.

    Explioters will find new ways to farm dill "illegaly" and this patch won`t help at all. Since dill farmers have more than enough dill to open few char slots every few days, they will just continiue with what they were allready doing.

    I'm not sure what Cryptic thinks, but this change seems more of a loss than a gain.

    This is a despicable nerf. PvP is one of the mechanics that keep hard core players at sto. Although Boff ground and space PvP both need balance passes, it is the true end game in most MMOs. With this being said it is a shame that Cryptic does not focus on PvP that much. Since most PvPers are around a long time it would behoove Cyptic to keep them around. This nerf is just going to push more of the steady and constant players away. As I have always said, Cypitc is best at needing its self out of players. Pretty soon they will not have jobs because of poor decisions they have made.

    Of course it is much easier to get dilithium by running actual PvE content. The thing is people abusing the private ground PvP queues are farmers. Some of them are players farming for fleet holding work, but most of them are gold sellers. The gold sellers are doing some variation of this:
    • Farming Ground PvP matches at one minute per match - 1440 dilithium in 3 minutes x20 characters
    • Capping out the characters daily
    • Converting the Refined Dilithium to Zen
    • Buying Master Keys with the Zen
    • Selling the Master Keys for Energy Credits
    • Selling the Energy Credits for real world money on we all know what website
    • Rinse and repeat

    It wouldn't be difficult for a gold farmer make a couple billion energy credits in a day doing the above with a script and a stack of accounts. This is also why Cryptic's 20 hour cooldown will do nothing to solve the problem. The gold spammers will either make more characters or more accounts. The only way to get rid of this problem is to remove the ability for gold spammers to automate the process of farming dilithium through PvP missions.

    There are also others who used it for the accolades in conjuction with some dilithium. Gold sellers have a lot more efficient ways of getting dilithium than this, trust me.

    My first reaction to this is, flabergasted...

    They are trying to fix a problem with PVP Ground maps, If the community is correct in this, by putting a timer on a mission..? :rolleyes:

    Even though technically that could be done with space PVP too, but obviously not as simply as the ground side..

    Instead of doing this, they should CHANGE the PVP Mission... Maybe make it about kills.. or Wins.. Or Damage Delt, or Heals, or what not.. instead of increasing the timer on a mission to a point where it just becomes ANOTHER daily..

    Or, here's an Idea, make it so that only the Dilithium can be earned every X hours.. Leave the Expertise and Skill points as continuingly grindable.

    But I'm sure those Ideas can't be done. Probably would take too much time to do it. Or too many people.. I don't know anything about their Code, or system to even predict that..

    But still, turning it into another 20 hour mission is rediculious. Hurts PVP in the long term. And reduces the desire for the hardcore PVP STO players to even want to continue to play PVP.

    To me this is like removing yet another Carrot on a stick that gives us the desire to continue to PVP, for those this kind of reward matters for. And that is terrible.

    What ever, they'll do it.. I'll still hang around on STO.. but the PVP may just get relegated to Ker'rat. Other wise, Marvel Heroes has my attentions at this time from a PVE point of view.

    Also, Cryptic is lazy. They won't do anything elaborate if they can just slap a timer on it. Checking for damage dealt..... that would be,..... too much work!
    Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

    Valdore console nerf is the most glaring example.
    Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

    what nerf? all that is being changed is the activation at 90% instead of full shields lol....no change at all IMO

    Oh no, that's all right and does not impact the console... heals to full shields are useless.

    But it was nerfed a long time ago too.

    This game needs to be released as a indi title singpleplayer and coop.I dont see why they need a server on all the time for a game that is singleplayer and sometimes coop.

    Well, this sucks. It feels like the devs are taking a serious low-blow to the pvp community. I don't see why they need to punish all PvP'ers for the actions of a few people that exploited the system that probably weren't even PvP'ers to begin with. There has to be a better way to solve this issue than this over-reaching dilithium nerf to the entirety of PvP.

    Please rethink this decision Cryptic.

    I dunno.. How does it feel every time some OP console comes out only to get the nerf bat? Or some OP PVE mechanic gets nerfed? Trying to Troll the Trollers? I guess some one is trying to spit in the wind and see if it can generate flames all at the same time. ;)

    You could remove PvP from the game...and there would still be players reporting bugs that benefit you. How would you handle them? What would you call them when you could no longer separate them out as PvPers?

    Heck, you could start right now with what separates them from folks like you and others...

    They're honest folks...
