Besides Cardassians, I would love to play Tholians.
What is on others wish lists?
LOL!.
I would love to play undine, devidian, female karfi xD, breen, and a huge etc. But unfortunately dreams are that, dreams. I dont find any special reason to play cardassian, i am not even attracted to it.
Android. Hologram. Vorta. Jem'hadar. Cardassian. First Federation. Those awful looking snake-headed and fish-headed guys. Tar monster. Voth. One facton's races in another faction. Fek'ihar.
I want a Medusian Boff in a little walker, with a trait that blinds enemies if they see it's true form.
For the record, I would love to see a ton of new species but given that the old ones sold so poorly that they took it off the C-Store and given that this is so much of a single alt game...
I think new species should come with a species respec option and should maybe be handled more like ships, with species tied to costume slot so that one captain can have multiple species options.

The ones they took off were species nobody really cared about. They still have premium species on there.

My point remains that with most people playing a single captain without getting everything they want on one alt, demand for species unlocks is going to be sparse unless, say, buying a species unlock also gets you cheap access to DOffs and BOffs of that species or you can change a captain's species on the fly. (Which, ironically, in Trek, was far more common and easy than changing ships.)

The problem is that people do not want to pay to for a vanity-species. They'd like an actual species with it's own unique features and faction.
Eventually cryptic will have to realise that it's model of 'let's make them pay for everything' is TRIBBLE.

I must have missed the episode where Picard turned Caitian.
On a more serious note, I'd actually like Cryptic to scrap the 2 faction sides thing cause tbh, it's stupid not to include the bad guys. If CBS is in the way, TRIBBLE them and include a neutral faction instead, say a race that hadn't developed ftl capability that the Fed's trampled over, eventually realised it was their fault and decided to help em develop that capability.
Or even include the option to leave Starfleet or the KDF and create a fully neutral independent non faction. Although that would require a crapton of work to implement...

and this what CBS would say back pull the plug...........
---Fan terrorism is born---
"This is *********** reporting live from New York where a new disaster within the disaster prone city has occurred. Only an hour ago, stunned commuters reported their work building, known as the CBS building, or locally known as the 'Black Rock' had suddenly vanished.
Sceptical investigators arrived moments later to confirm the mystery.
It is unknown what happened to the building, or the 400 workers currently inside. No evidence of the building collapsing exists, and witnesses to the event say a bright flash enveloped the building. The next moment, it was gone."
Mad STO fans crackle with hysterical laughter while looking at their strange site to site transporter, which was used moments ago to teleport the CBS building into the mirror universe.

Then I can feel like a member of Cryptic's Q&A department
Not funny and not cool.

Well, it costs money to develop. Where do you propose that money comes from?

It was when Data ran out of cat litter for Spot and they had to sneak into the cat litter factory.
