yah, i know, i was not implying anything you said, it's just i tried again this time being sure i had half of my inventory empty, and i clicked in "not now" and, instead going to my inventory, it went to the overflow bag. And once there, there is no way to retrieve him lol. So i guess i will just avoid to try it anymore on all my romulan characters. So much hate to kdf and romulans.. for god sake. :P

Sigh. I dont have a clue why cryptic keep doing so many stupid events, if all of em are bugged. Always the same story lol. Any news about this, devs? Or we can forget about receiving our Breen boffs on our romulans?? :(

It's not just Romulans. It happened to me on a Klingon last night.

There is already (at least) one existing thread for this problem.

So now, instead of all input going to one place to dev attention and tracking, it's split up.

Search the forums BEFORE creating new threads.

Sorry, but the other issue was about a MISSION reward, "Devil's Choice", not about the featured episode event reward. So, yes maybe it is the same issue, but its not probably the same method to fix it.

Well, i was lucky until now i guess. I collected 5 Breen boffs and thats it. I cant collect more Breen boffs or Reman ones with my other characters. It doesnt matter if the character is romulan, fed or kdf. Well, so lets forget about this , again, failed featured episode event rerun. Too bad since i really wanted that reman boff with transfer shield strenght III. :(

I would appreciate a fix for this. For me the problem is I have 2 superior romulan boffs that I can't get. I would love to have them.

Overflow bag has been bugged for a while now.

    Try this:

    Sign out
    Sign in...

    BEFORE you do anything else.....

Open inventory and click overflow bag. It should release anything in the bag.

No, it doesnt. The problem is, even if you open the overflow bag, you CANT RETREIVE the Boff inside it.

What i will never understand, is why cryptic keep doing events that are related to issues that are not fixed since ages ago. Anyways, i stop doing these episode reruns since days ago. TRIBBLE those stupid bugged events and cryptic lol. Next time, i will suggest cryptic to spend the time and efforts into something else, not in another stupid non functional event.

the main attraction of the feature reruns is the daily lobi reward though, and that works fine.

if all else fails, discard him, then repeat the mission to get him. claim the reward before going back into space, that might help.
Now clowns, that's another story. They scare the crap out of me.
We fight them too. Entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens.
We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.

For you. For a lot of people it was the special rewards. A lot of players have a lot of lobi crystals already. Actually i ended so frustrated that i just dont have the guts to keep replaying episodes. I only wanted the 2 boffs, since the Reman one have the TSS III skill , hard to find, and the Breen one was just a curious boff to have. But in the end, nor one, nor the other lol.

And no, if you bothered to read the entire post, re-playing the mission will not work. Because to be able to collect the reward , the window asking if you want the boff to join your crew will pop up every time. And unless you click on "join now", anything else will send the boff to the overflow bag. Even if you have the inventory empty.

This is a really ridiculous work-around, but here's what seemed to work for me (can't guarantee it'll work for anyone else, or that this is absolutely the best way).

Background: I had spaces in my inventory, bridge officer candidate roster, and active bridge officer slots when I first collected the Breen as a reward, and he still went straight into my overflow bag. Even though he was in there, I couldn't open the overflow bag.

    1. Fill up your inventory with as much stuff as you can - doesn't matter what, just make sure the inventory (not your bank) is full.
    2. Do anything that gives you "team loot" options - I did Federation Fleet Alert.
    3. Once you finish the mission/task force/whatever, empty out your inventory by selling, moving to your bank, discarding, whatever.
    4. Open your overflow bag to retrieve the team loot options you received.
    5. Go one by one using the "Take" button on items in your overflow until you only have one item plus the Breen left (I did this just to be safe, but it might not matter).
    6. Select the Breen and click "Discard"
    7. Confirm that you want to discard him.
    8. Do whatever you want with the last item in your Overflow bag and close the Overflow bag.
    9. Rerun the Cold Storage mission (I already had since I thought maybe I'd just picked the wrong reward).
    10. Select the Breen officer and click "Collect Reward"
    11. When the dialogue window for your Breen officer pops up, have him immediately join your active bridge officer group. (This means you have to have a free bridge officer slot.) DO NOT try to add him to your reserves only.

It kind of sucks since now I really wanted him on reserve with the Reman and not in my active bridge officer slots, but at least now I've got him.

Hope that at least helps someone.

Nah, you didnt bother to read anything of the previous posts.

I will repeat it again. If you click on "join now" and you have an empty active station , it works, and you have your breen boff and there is no bug at all. You dont need to empty your inventory or to do weird things.. There is no problem there, the problem is WHEN YOU DONT WANT HIM TO JOIN YOUR ACTIVE CREW. What i want (and most people) is to have him on my candidate roster to make him join my active crew when i need him or i have a proper layout or watever. There is no point to give you a reward forcing you to have him already joined in your crew. That is not the way it should work.

It is ridicolous. This is a part of their Replay Event and still they seem to ignore the issue. Not statement at all.

as i said before, try to claim them while still inside the mission area. i seem to remember someone fixing his issue of overflow bag reman/breen by discarding them, then reclaiming them from within the mission map, before beaming out. just to be on the safe side, clean out your candidate list.

hell, now that i think about it, when i got the reman overflow bag bug and redid the mission, i think i reclaimed him before leaving the map.

you've got 1 day left, it won't hurt to try, also getting lobi in the process. cryptic won't fix the bug in time, so don't wait.

I hope you're not talking to me, because if so you're obviously not bothering to read. I don't want him as an active bridge officer either, but that doesn't seem to be an option thanks to bugginess. Since he was stuck in the overflow bag, I couldn't even see him or get him out of there. The steps I listed are how I was able to clear that up and at least have him in some form - not the way I want, but better than nothing.

Ok guys It's a little late but I'm posting this in the hopes some of you guys still have time to get this. I have a work around that worked for me last night when I got this bug.

If you have the Breen or The Reman BOFF stuck in Your Overflow bag do the following to get him as an non active BOFF.

    1) Make sure your roster is not full of Bridge officers. You do not need a bridge officer slot free, just room on the non active list on the right to pick up a bridge officer. Delete a couple just to be sure.

    2) Open your overflow back and dismiss the Reman/Breen BOFF.

    3) Re Run the Mission

    4) DO NOT LEAVE THE SYSTEM WHEN IT IS COMPLETE This is ver important I ran this 3 times last night and if you leave the system it will not work.

    5) From with in the system finish the mission and the dialogue box to get the officer will pop up behind the leave the system box when you complete the quest. Again DO NOT LEAVE THE SYSTEM WHEN IT IS COMPLETE

    5) Close the depart system dialogue box and you should see the BOFF saying you Bridge roster is full and that he can train an officer.

    6) Click Not now and he will go onto your waiting list and not into the over flow bag.

    7) You can now leave the system.

I hope this works for you guys or for any one who finds this thread on Google the next time Cryptic do the featured episode and they still haven't fixed this bug. :D

You were trying to explain a workaround to have the boff as active boff. That was never a problem, or a bug. The main problem explained in the very first post was that people DOESNT want the boff as active one. So, explaining how to get him as an active boff in your crew is useless. Because nobody have any problem doing so. And that is what you trying to explain, so i really dont care. I want him in my candidate roster, and since your "solution" is not about that, you need to understand that your "workaround" is useless. And you keep trying to explain the same and the same again and again. So, why do you think i will tell you that you didnt bother to read anything..

Yep, all sorts of mission BOFFs are ending up randomly in the Overflow Bag. Haven't been able to recreate why they go there or why they don't go there...meh, they just do or don't...bah.

I discarded 4 of em. All from the FE rerun event, 2 remans and 2 breen. I was tired of seeing em in my overflow bag without any chance to recover em. Again, thanks cryptic , erm, for nothing lol. Unfortunately cryptic didnt seem to care too much about this bug (well, im not surprised, anyways).
