i still think STO can make the IA off your officers a lot better

i still think a lot don't no what to do and get stuck very easy

on nimbus III when you go to the Orion prison
they get stuck very easy -.-

so you try to get back try to get them to you but rely they dont no what to do with small doors and so on

so you always ending with only 1 ore 2 officers and the rest are still stuck there
and can't find there way out :(

so normally i logoff and log back in and then i have all 4 with me again

so any off you have this trouble to that your officers get stuck very easy ??

A fix went int for this on Tribble yesterday: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1122951
We will be bringing down the Tribble server for maintenance to apply a new update: ST.40.20140427a.15

    General:
    • Resolved an issue which was causing bridge officers and npcs to become stuck in their pathing on Nimbus ground.

I'm not sure how much of a fix this is, but I like the direction of recent game patches.
Member since November 2009... I think.

    I agree...

Just this week, I had to deal with temporal investigations 3 times, Section 31 twice and I wasn't too proud on reporting about that Iconian gateway I had to reactivate just to save my sorry butt from death (in hindsight, that may have been a poor choice).

@OP: You are right of cause... the AI could use some improvement, but "getting stuck" is not as much a AI problem, as it is a environment coding issue.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

there is more what i think omg what are you guys thinking

some areas have a force field that you need to lower
but for now i can't so i walk more around the building

but my officers see those enemy NPC behind those force field and try to get to them :(
buff up put turrets on the ground jump around and so on

so for a very very long time i stay in battle mode -.-
i think dammit come here and stop trying to attack them because you can't

thats also i have a lot sadly

I still think we should have formation presets like single file and wedge, etc.

i gone try to make vids of any problem my officers have

and that's is a lot i tell you

Nimbus III have at least 2 problems

1 is to small doors ad the Orion prison
2 ad seems that your officers cant follow you good and ad some times they just surround you
ore try to get into you :D and buff up ore get ready for combat when there are no enemies near me

and the quest ad Drozana ( What lies Beneath )
they just poof away ad the end of your quest when you must kill the final boss
it happens a lot so you face the boss mostly solo -.-

you die and after respawn they are back -.-

but i will try to make vid of ea problem and hoping things will turn out better :)

Hah! That's all I can say about Nimbus III ...

Apart from a few times, when they have gotten stuck in Hassan's "Pleasure Dome" (they somehow managed to get outside' of the Arena, then couldn't get back in!) I haven't noticed any major issues on Nimbus III myself, maybe the occasional "bouncy, bouncy" act in the prison or on a rock in the desert, but no real dramas (although there are a few places, where they all seem to bunch together and can't separate into formation, like coming back from the "Worm Ruins" towards the city ...

Now the bowels of Drozana Station??? That's another thing altogether!!!

They get stuck on RIVETS on the ground, or a girder that sticks out 2.5inches from the wall a dangling bit of cable or a fallen piece of equipment, it takes 30 mins to get to the bottom, because you have turn back every five paces and go look for yet another stuck BoFF "doin' the whole 'glitch in the Matrix" routine, or just ... standing there ... like a statue!

They seem to be able to see Devidians 3 STORIES UP or 3 STORIES DOWN with 23 walls and obstacles between them nd the enemy, and they go chasing after them! ... I've even seen one of my BoFF's literally go ballistic running up against a wall, then suddenly ... sliding ... through it! Like a froicken ghost, only appear on the other side, then run around the wall to get back behind me WTF?!?!? ...

Nope if any place is in real need of some serious map fixing and path fixing, it's the under levels of Drozana!

Yes! The "bunch up" that seems to happen after every enemy engagement in the desert of Nimbus III. Ugh. It's like everyone's trying to dogpile on the captain! Relax guys, it's over. Now give me some breathing room! LOL

I quite agree. I can almost pinpoint the exact spot where this seems to happen to me without fail. Descending to the computer core of Drozana during one of the Devidian encounters in one of the console activation rooms. A number of Devidians will seemingly teleport to other levels during the fight. My BOFFs are still engaged though, so they either magically teleport along with the Devidians or they go chasing after them. Regardless, I can't seem to get my BOFFs back until 1) those Devidians are dead, or 2) I get killed and respawn.

Another pathing issue I run into with my BOFFs is during some of the random ground missions of the star clusters. Some of the doorways, particularly those modeled after Memory Alpha, have a sort of lip, for lack of a better term, that the BOFFs tend to get stuck on. And one particular mission involving tagging medical supply crates while fighting off Orion pirates, my BOFFs completely disappear from the map, leaving me to fend for myself.

You can set boffs in the middle of the prison so they don't get stuck...
But I made a thread like this about a Thousand times and no response from Cryptic.
Sinds it went F2P I got the feeling the player has no saying anymore what he wants or likes, You can say it but they won't do a thing about it. My feeling says stop crying you don't have to pay for it .... that attitude !!

Well I may be wrong about this: but isn't avoiding areas where they would get stuck technically a AI improvement?

My Feddie Trill is known to have cheated her way through the Academy and Starfleet Medical. Throwing IA in to the mix would be a very bad idea. With as many lives as she has endangered she would be going away for a looong time.

Coding a new AI is a much larger work than a few code change in a small patch.

if you say they don't need Internal Affairs nosing around, they probably do. So what have you been doing lately? Exterminating Voth with too much prejudice?
