So one week after the completely out of the blue tempest escort, where is the blog about redesign of a 2409 klingon ship? Just wondering as I think the klinks need a redesign/new ship more than the feds, am I alone in this way of thinking? ( side note; more rom ships please ).

A unique aspect to Startrek in my opinion is that it is really the Federation vessels that really stick out.
If you took a Bird of Prey and put it in upside down in a B5 scene and call it "Drazi Attack Frigate", I think a lot of people would never notice. The ship has wings, central part, engines, guns. That' The design may be recognizable to us, but it could be part of any genre.
But imagine they'd take a Ambassador Class Cruiser and put in upside down. I think people would recognize this immediately. "
The saucer + engineering + saucer shape? That's unique and will always stand out.
(Of course, it's a bit ironic that I come to think of this in a thread based on the Tempest, which while you can recognize Startrek ship aspects on closer inspection, from far away it could be any franchise, too.)
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
But the Vor'cha/Tor'Kaht are supposed to be the sovy's counterpart.
You have the Galaxy pack, sovereign, dreadnought in cstore ships, not to mention excelsior, avenger, etc. The Negh'var with a cstore version is such an aberration?
I'm not saying the Negh'var is bad, but if dev cost is an issue, Cstore Negh'var, Hegh'ta, etc arent exactly difficult to figure out, and it would address some of the lack of KDF options.

I'm not saying that there can't be a C-store Negh'var. It would either have to be:
1) A Gal X ripoff, with it's own fleet version different from the already existing fleet Negh'var
2) Have a layout similar to the free and fleet Negh'var (eng focused) and maybe have the 180 torp and TRIBBLE console (probably not the TRIBBLE console, but something gimmick-y)
Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
