fatal error

I cant log onto sto. I keep getting a java script error when the launcher tries to load after I type in my log in details. I uninstalled and reinstalled java twice now, and its still happening. I cant find anything about this error in the forums. This is the exact error that keeps popping up:

fatal error: javascript exception: uncaught referenceError: selectshardbutton is not defined

I don't know wtf this means Cause as far as I can tell there is no shardbutton that I can find. Please help guys.

If at all possible I need to avoid uninstalling the game, I have limited internet and I would use the remaining data for the next 2 weeks, and would not be able to play for 2 weeks.

    Java Script is the common browser shell script language, and is not to be confused with the JAVA App runtime package... To use it, STO requires the IE libraries for HTTP be installed on your system....

    So, do you have the current version of IE installed on your system???

    Yes I do have current IE. Everything on my computer is up to date. All drivers and programs. I make it a point to keep them up to date.

    I ran a virus scan and malware scan. Uninstalled arc cause it was picked up as a PUP. I ran a ccleaner and defag. It seems to be working now. Not sure which on of those fixed it. But then again when I uninstalled java the first time it worked, but stopped again after the first log in. So we will see if it does it again. I will report back in a week, or sooner if problem happens again. Thank you. :)

    this did not work for me any other ideas ?
