Romulans Need a New Ship!

O.K. What this comes down to is a bridge officer seating issue. Also, the number of slots in our forward array. I have the Science Destroyer pack, and it is nice, believe me. However, the ship has one slot in the forward array that cannot be changed.
#1: We need a ship with FIVE (5) forward slots that is not a Scimitar or Heavy type ship. Something more like the Federation's Avenger Battle Cruiser (and its Fleet variant).
#2 We need the same ship to have a decent boff layout, such as: 1 Cmd. Tac, 1 Lt.Cmd. Eng, 1 Lt.Cmd. Sci, and 1 Lt. Universal.
This ship needs a base turn rate of around 10-15, and the normal Warbird powers. It also needs a console triple set, that would come in a three pack--one ship and one console for each profession: Tac, Eng, Sci. Getting the three pack would get you all three consoles and synergies thereof.

also what you're asking is basically a faction version of the nicor lol.
Addendum: they need to not look like they're made out of pipe cleaners and hot glue.
A 5 tac console raptor is way overdue. In fact, disregarding the Bortasqu, there isn't any other KDF ship with 5 tac consoles. Raptors are completely underrepresented and this would go a long way in helping that issue. They already got subpar turn rate and shields, so asking for 5 tac consoles is certainly not a long shot.
Its either that, or a BoP with 5 front and 1 aft weapons and decent amount of tac consoles. With the recent raider buff, this would finally give the KDF an ambusher that compares to recent ship releases. In fact, its my belief that both of those ships need to exist before any new Romulan ships come to the table.
So no, the Romulans certainly don't NEED a new ship. You may have limited selection, but you do have ships of all relevant types and roles and they outperform just about everything else. The only thing I would want to see on the Romulan side, is a new science vessel. Not the eyesore dyson ship that doesn't know what it wants to be or the oversized Ha'nom turkey.
I don't count the Temporal Science ship because a) its way too hard to acquire and b) it doesn't work as a warbird.

My vote goes to a Reman bridge. Only changes:
1) lights dimmed
2) all crew are Remans (preferably using the C-store Reman uniform)
Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!

But I just had a funny Idea: How about making SOME ships of the chosen alliance partner available for the Romulans too?
To the really STARFLEET ships or the really KLINGON ships.... but the other ones. Andorian, Vulcan and Caitain ships for Fed allied... Gorn, Nausicaan, Orion ships for KDF allied....
On the other hand.... if the Kumari would be available for fed allied romulans.... my Fed tac would finally be obsolete...

Romulans NEED their existing bridges/interiors to have the same functionality as KDF and Fed, mainly the ability to display accolade trophies.
Trouble is most of those ships are T5 which the devs said they won't allow the RR to have access to as it makes the other factions obsolete.
And yeah the KDF ship line up is very lacking in pretty much every area outside of Battle cruisers. It would be nice to see a Raptor with 5 tact consoles or some ships to fill out the science/support category as the choices are very limited.

What I would appreciate would be a Reman Destroyer or something like that. Base it off the aesthetics of the Scimitar-Cryptic seems to 'get' that at least. Right now Reman ships have a 'bit' of a gap between the Scorpion fighter and the Scimitar. I seem to recall seeing some non-scimitar Reman ships in a panel of comic someone linked-same comic from which Cryptic took many of its Federation uniform designs it should be noted.
How about making the IRW Prefix universally available for Romulans across all their ships? Picking up a Lockbox ship or shuttle only to find out you can't slap a IRW prefix on it is a little irritating to Star Empire fans.
How about new for Republic players? Ones in which trophies can be displayed. TOS/TNG era and Nemesis-era Reman interiors would be well received I think. just make sure that the crew are the appropriate species and wear the right uniform, like the Federation TOS bundle, and unlike the DS9 interior It would be amazing.
As for Klingons, I think a pretty reliable way to flesh out their small ship selection would be to give them the ships that the NPC Gorn, Orions, and Nausicaans get but are not available to players:
Nausicaans: Ravager Dreadnought, Talon Battleship, Destroyer Escort, Syphon Frigate, Stinger Fighter.
Gorn: Balaur Dreadnought, Zilant Dreadnought, Draguas Support Vessel, Tuatara Cruiser, Vishap Frigate, Naga Fighter.
Orions: Warbarge Dreadnought, Slavemaster Battelship, Brigand Cruiser, Orion Corvette, Interceptor
As you can see, there are plenty of prospects for new KDF ships waiting in the wings. Some more flight deck/ carrier options would be nice for Gorn/Nausicaan/Orions as well, so they could use Stinger fighters and Naga Fighters on ships belonging to their species. Gorn/Nausicaan/Orion bridges are something I very much want as well.
More fleet-level options would be nice for the Orions/Gorn/Nausicaan as well. Right now they only get the one option at fleet level, What's so bad with the idea of a fleet-level Dacoit or Phalanx Cryptic?
Lots of good ideas for both Romulans and Klingons ship content, I think. but we don't necessarily need to make new ships from scratch to make it a more enjoyable experience.
Changing that stance to SOME degree is the point of this idea. It would only involve a small number of ships of each faction, so I don't think it would make the faction obsolete.
All the bellow t5 ships are already available for them, as you probably know.
Well they said bridges and Interiors are pretty much dead. Mainly because they are unwilling to add any functionality to them (although there are about 1000 possible ways) and now are surprised that nobody uses the half finished Bridges and interiors without any function.
About the Klingon ships: I'd be lucky if they addet the t5 setup into the fleet ship story.
No fleet variant of the Guramba, the Hegh'ta and probably multiple others. That would be a nice start IMO.
Yeah, just a lil bit of tweaks to make em more engi or sci specific, but that's why they do the 3-packs for. Were it not for such a small amount of hull strength, the T'Varo could run against the big baddies of the other factions.
Maybe call it the hiyll or Battlecruiser, or call it jhimn, or Serpent.
Wait what? You want the closest thing the Romulans have to a raider to have the stats of a battlecruiser? Sure. And the B'rel should be able to fire all weapons while cloaked.
Klngons need a few new ships
Classic Fed and klingon ships need overhauls to bring them up to Romulan levels for balencing

Romulans NEED new ship, Science Vessels in fact. they have mostly Escort-ish and Cruiser-like ships.
While I agree that klingons need ship, they also need science ships but there is a problem, they have Bird of Preys, while no Science ship, they make good subtitutes, the Klingons have Veranus and Vo'Quv, the Kar'fi is a science vessel disguised as tactical Carrier and now the Dyson Ship.
the Klingon Empire need few ships but the romulans need more to be more equal.
Fed have a lot of ships, Romulans Level for balancing? Rom Ships don't have much power and singularity powers sucks.

Couldn't cryptic buff other ships to be comparable? If Romulan ships are truly overpowered. I'm still new to the game so I don't have a real point of reference. My above comment is based on playing around with a friend of mine's battle cruiser before I started playing and thought it was neat with the different settings it had.

My Romulan science toon so outclasses my Fed and klingon science toons its patethic
power is no problem on any of my romulans -10 power is nothing its easy to peg out 3 subsystems with 125 power
singularity powers are OP learn how to use them
