Why no female suit with Formal Wear?

lexusk19lexusk19 Member Posts: 1,415 Arc User
I was thinking about this the other day, why is there no female suit option? Seems like it would be pretty simple to include in the pack.

And besides... The dresses clip through the skin so bad I never wear them on my toons anyways.

You are right and I want it too but I'm willing to bet someone would say "Why can't guys get dresses if girls's can get suits." and that is a pointless fight no one wants to have.

I think this is the real reason here.

That and also it make me think that people would start getting on about the skant again.

I'd rather see open jacket uniforms for female character which *don't* show clevage and skin & get proper undershirt like males.

The so-called 'formal' thing for female character we have now.. wouldn't even think spending my money on that... blergh :D:D

I would support formal attire for female characters, you know a nice blouse and suit jacket with a mini skirt, and give the girl a choice of some killer heals too. I do not, however, support nor enourage cross-dressing in this game. Cross-dressers don't exist in the 24th century, thank goodness!

    Newspaper roll someone...

There's no such thing as 'cross-dressing' in 24th century, because people are clearly not so fixated on 'dress-code' conventions based on which 'gender' you are born with. Sheesh, people like you make me almost want to loose my good mood on forum. Basing what you can and can't wear on gender? Good grief.. LOL. :D

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. And do be careful of what you say and how you say it, someone might take umbrage with such comments.

Well, I'd never wear any dress personally... hence why Cryptic just doesn't get my money for the attire. Lol. I just don't know what they were thinking when they implemented that disaster as the only way of 'formal' attire for female character... :D:D

I happen to reside in a female body vessel (said that way totally on purpose, with a humorous tone to it, as the gender dual system & its' 'standards' for each 'gender' are purposedly ignored by me for years), and I'd not wear that stuff... ever. I've wore pant-suit/shirt/tie for formal occassions & it just fitted me much better. Come to think, I never wore any dress since I was like 10 years old...

I just got pet-peeved by that person, who is claiming that anyone who'd wear a pant-suit and happen to be a woman is a cross-dresser. We need to get away with labeling people, not to promote it in a game, which is based on open-mindedness and the fact people got away from stereotypes and 'gender-standards' when it comes to attitude & appearance.... <.<

Anyways... off-topic. That's what happens when someone hits my personal pet-peeve. Not you. The guy mentioning so-called 'cross-dressing'. Newspaper roll. Lol. :D

The female Formal Dress looks more like a Prom Dress or the Little Red Dress someone would wear to a party. Not arguing... but wouldn't mind something less Prom Date as well.

Cross-dressing seems to work only one way. After all look how many females are wearing pant suits or pants and shirts compared to how many guys wear dresses. You have some male chauvinistic pigs that say that women should be wearing dresses and other stupid stuff, but the majority don't really care. Put a guy in a dress and people assume there is something wrong with them. According to society, there is nothing wrong with women wearing male clothing, but there is something extremely wrong with men wearing female clothing.

If it helps.. not in my books. People should be able to wear what they want, without anyone being self-entitled to tell them it's wrong, for whatever archaic conventions/standards... just saying. :)

There are such a thing as standards, just because you don't have them doesn't mean you should encourage other people not to have them. Attire is gender based because genders are different. IDK if you were a punk runk kid who never grew up and are trolling the forums, or maybe your borg? It seems that borg in the 24th century wear the same clothing; is it possible they were former cross-dressers? They tried so hard to be non-conformist but ultimately they were forced to conform. Bah ha ha ha!

Personally as a male, I feel far more comfortable in male clothing and have no desire for female clothing due to my impression that female fashion seems to be about suffering. People are free to do what they want as long as their freedom doesn't cause harm to me. So a guy wearing a dress is fine, but a guy wearing a Mankini would cause me to almost hurl.

Your mockery is futile. Just FYI.

Genders (or rather, the word 'sex' applies here, since word 'gender' is a denotion of the societal-construct mumbo-jumbo) are different physicaly, yes, different reproductive organs and all that.. but your physical sex should not dictate of who you can and cannot be or what you can and cannot wear. Simply as that. Now, get out of that 16th century or where you live, alright? :D

@starkaos - for me, clothes are always about being comfortable in them. The usual TRIBBLE for females is usually not comfortable, impractical (even their pant suits usually don't have pockets.. TRIBBLE that. :P ) and last and least, I also don't find female 'fashion' as appealing to me.

Bad reason is bad. If you need a dress and long hair to identify a human female, you either need better glasses or to attend sex ed class at school.
