Raider Upgrades - Defiant upgrades please?

Nice touch on the klingon side if it is not to much to ask jam jams could you consider upgrading the Defiant classes, because I believe a lot of Feds who are flying these ships still asked to integrate the cloak console and a battle cloak, also what we would love is a bit more hit points to the refit and the fleet version of the defiant classes.

LOL, if they did that so many KDF would be in an uproar except I've gotten to the point where if they did let defiant have a battle cloak I wouldn't care. Although you have to admit that its funny especially if you ever watch first contact and you see that the defiant is a little bit larger than a bop(and a spec of dust in size compared to the enterprise-e lol) but technically a raider. Then you look at STO and the scaleing is way off and they call it a destroyer basically.
As far as the fire power lol. Fleet defiant gets 5 tactical consoles where as the NO KDF ship has 5 tactical consoles and I don't count the bortasqu' unless they give the defiant the same turn rate as that ship lol. What you should be asking yourself is why they haven't taken away the 5th tactical console to balance it between the raptors since they have no plans on ever giving the KDF a 5 tactical console raptor or bop which KDF ships should be a bit more stronger offensively than the federation due to its an organization based on peace and exploration and not a war machine like the Klingon Empire

LOL... funny part is the person you are basically asking has no control over what happens with ships the guy you are referring to just makes them. He makes really good looking ships but in the end he hands it over to someone who has the say so lol.

Zeux is saying that JamJamz draws the ship and makes it look pretty. Al Rivera, Borticus, and the other designers are the ones you determine what equipment and stats it has.
An analogy would be: You're essentially asking the painting guy to add more electrical sockets to your room.

It is still an excellent decloak alpha strike vessel with very good survival and solid punch to go with its high turn and speed.

You do know with the same logic they used on bops in the past that if you wanted it more canon and give it a battle cloak that they would reduce the hitpoints instead of decrease them on the defiant. In which the defiant in the game is nothing like the one in the DS9 series/seen in first contact as well. Basically it was a tiny bit larger than a bird of prey but in STO they made it larger and gave it more hull health than it would have if it had a battle cloak.
Yep also like going to mcdonalds and asking for pepperoni lovers pizza.

OP: So guys, I just watched a documentary on the Nature Channel about Flamengo migations and it seems those birds usually fly XXXX miles during their migrations. Could a human walk such a distance in that time, what do you think?

With all due respect Zeux, the show and movies don't have a consistent size for the Defiant ever. I'm using http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/articles/defiant-problems.htm as a reference of course. My favorite discontinuity for the Defiant is how it's massive during the DS9 intro and then smaller than a Captain's Yacht when the Ent-E flew over it in First Contact.
Also... I won't put it past McDonalds to one day start having Pizza on it's menu >_>.

I might be ok with the Defiant having a battle Cloak if Cryptic were to take away 2 Tactical Console slots, add one Engineering Console Slot, remove one Aft Weapon slot and reduce its hull by about 15% :rolleyes:

Actually, if the Defiant were an exact copy of the Hegh'ta, I'd be all over that in an instant.
Of course, that would never happen, and it would probably confuse the heck out of a lot of people because WTF do you do with a Hegh'ta? 3/3/3?!

The only thing that should be buffed about the Defiant, is the shield modifier on the fleet version, that has been gimped since the ship's release.

Problem is that the Defiant isn't a raider, it's still seen as a full blown escort so it's a different type of ship. I'm not against a little buff for the Defiant like a bit more hull or anything like that mind you, but the Raider buff should be just that, a raider only buff.
