I joined the channel. If you hear a dog barking over the comm, that's Tiberius, my Chief of Security. German Shepard bred for space travel. He knows how to use the Jefferies tubes!

Not in-game ATM, but I'll be on soon-ish. Working on a LC 31/32 redux at the moment because I'm bored.
Nice piece  That's a really nice introduction to Trenek  My only issue is that the Endeavor is a clash wi my head canon, as the Endeavour was the ship Ael served on prior to her promotion to captain However, as even the official Trek records list various ship's with the same name, I'm going to assume the different spellings meant different ships Out of curiousity, how old is Trenek?

I figured middle-aged at least. He's experienced, maybe a little world-weary. Joined Starfleet after being something of a disgrace on Vulcan; he's always had a little trouble controlling his emotions under stress. Served a stint in the Dominion War, has a little experience with the Borg.
Trenek's no Picard, but he's more effective than most. Willing to risk himself, has not much of a sense of humor. Hope this helps you "get" him well. Three is fond of Trenek, and considers him to be beneficial to her imprints; she's respectful to him and will help him out if it's reasonably possible and necessary.
Also, thanks! It was pretty hard to write, but worth it.

It does indeed  Hard to write? It read really smoothly  And middle aged by Human or Vulcan standards? Counsellor T'Reya's in her 90s but still looks 25

Middle-aged by Vulcan standards.
And thanks! Good to know that my efforts paid off.
Thanks for the kind words, all...most appreciated!
I added an epilogue, as it was bugging me that I didn't follow the rules for the challenge. So...the story as posted was the mind's eye replay of a bad time, kinda like First Contact's Picard gets turned to Locutus bit.
Nothing changed in the original story so no need to reread. (No need to read the new stuff either...I put it there because I felt bad for not sticking to the challenge!)
Read a few of the entries (loved them) but I'll save reviews for another time as I don't want to get bit with the iPod crash between tabbing thingy....
While we're waiting for the new LC, I was wondering if I could trouble you guys to read and give feedback on my new fanfic, The Game of Houses? I'd really appreciate it!

It better not be like Game of Thrones, with wall to wall Klingon Wieners and unfulfilled promises that Kahless is coming.

Let's see if we can break the discussion thread record for number of posts.
@azniadeet: The interplay between Anne Reece and Aznia Deet keeps the reader's attention trapped in the drama between two worlds, allowing for a gripping tale between the Benny Russell story and the battle of the future.
@cmdrscarlet: The tactical prowess of the Solaris crew makes them more than a match for the enemies of the Federation, and the way Captain Beringer takes a "Doomsday Machine" scenario and turns it around so that everyone lives leaves a warm spot in the reader's heart.
@ambassadormolari: The end of the Alpha Quadrant at the hands of the Iconians give the piece a sense of despair which permeates the actions of the characters within, and the way each representative of the playable factions deals with the invasion gives the story many interesting flavors. (Spoiler) The "Dream" ending at the end turns the story into an interesting "What-if" scenario as well.
Something I threw together for kicks... I know the video editing is pretty shoddy and my mouse was in the frame quite a lot. Also, I misspelled lieutenant at least once. But I'm still happy with it.

We want to break the number of posts? This post will add to that. As it will to my post count. However, making posts just for the sake of having a post is, well, meh.
So as for that YouTube video. It was pretty good. Personally, I didn't like the slipstream shot and the shot late in the video of the ship flying just ahead. They did not have any motion at all. (well I saw the ship moving, but in this perspective, there was not much motion to see)
Personally, I would add more camera movements. I know that that might be very hard, but it will definitely enhance the images.

Yeah, it's Bajoran for "Unknown Sample". Mentioned in DS9 somewhere.
Also, thanks for the compliments!
BTW, I'm in the LC Geek Chat channel right now if anyone want's to talk in-game.

Noob question, but...how do I find this mysterious channel?
Go into 'chat settings', 'channels', and type 'LC Geek Channel' into the search field, then click 'join'.

@ambassadormolari - Thank you for the compliment and I agree, which is why I did it
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out.

Cool, so anywhere from about 90 to 160ish
And absolutely so, you're very welcome
Just write him as a hybrid of Spock and Dalinar Kholin, or any other "grizzled veteran" character you can think of.
I'm still bored...maybe I'll do another!
Will do
I'll look forward to what you come up with

No, I haven't even watched/read Game of Thrones. I just couldn't come up with a better title!
The best way to describe it would be a search for the truth.
It also serves as a way for me to write about my KDF characters while I'm writing about my Fed characters in the LCs.

Yep very dusty. Smirks needs to order the Maid to clean up a bit in here.

It's quite interesting and it gives me some ideas of my own. Now to learn the skills necessary to implement them.

Grrrr...one whole week without a new prompt!
*rants about professionalism for 2 hours straight*
There. All done ranting.
Unless we don't get our prompt tomorrow, of course.
If we don't get a prompt tomorrow, maybe we can ask Trendy to whip something up.
