I have a nice spreadsheet I use to track all my investments and net worth for my in game assets. You're welcome to the template if you like. Its nice being able to see what you have invested and what you paid verse what its worth now and what you project it to be. Helps when making future investments. I use similar tools when tracking my RL investments.

You've piqued my interest. Screenshot? Keeping track of everything in notepad is becoming tedious.

If I worked really hard I could make 800,000 in a couple hours. Normally I make about 200,000-300,000 a day depending on how the Doff System and Drops go.

PFFT. Loot-o-matics are honestly not as good as everyone says they are. You'll make more money creating a Klingon character, doing maurading missions for Contraband (youll also get lots of the more expensive commodities to sell to vendors and Doffs), transferring it to another character who needs it, and then selling it on the exchange. You can make up to several hundred thousand with no effort at all doing that.
I agree and if I started over my first, second, third, etc. alts would be klingon and doff maurading south of deep space nine is very rewarding. Matching purple doffs ( 4 green 0 red ) to each mission for critical success or extremely profitable in an art. For 20 doff missions I usually get 50% critical success ( 5 dil rewards turn into 125 dil ) plus large ec and commedation points. If I turned everything into ecs, it would be millions daily per alt. But refined dilithium is the most valuable commotity in the game on a daily basis. Thats why sto limits the refining to 8k daily. Fleet credits the second most valuable. And the ultra rare xii fleet consoles require a lot of both. They cannot be bought or sold on the exchange so millions of ecs are useless for the best space gear.

That sounds like a tempting offer. It would be interesting to see what the 1% can do to the STO economy from a purely experimental standpoint.

That said, I'm not sure if the rest of the 99% would be on board with various sub-markets being "our" plaything. I may be benign with my market practices, but I'm not ignorant to the fact others would not be.

After all, the lulz must be had.

I am sure there are certain item markets that a few of us would love to buy nearly every item and raise the price 50% to 200%, the problem is its risky to put so many eggs in one basket. If a few of us teamed up we could really make a small fortune. Also I know there are a few things I invested in and I am sure as others would like to get actually get a return on.

In regards to my spreadsheet here is a Screenshot. I renamed some of the items to widget or pack because I didn't want to advertise my whole portfolio. Also keep in mind, all numbers are in the millions. 1k is .001, 10k is .01, 100k is .1 and so forth. 1000=1 Billion

About 800k per character, per day. That accounts for STF loot, Foundry loot and commodity sales from Doff missions.

Used to be double that, but I used to get 800k just from the foundry.....so...yah...

I make anywhere from 2-4 million a day. I make 1 million the first 30 minutes I log in and run my dilies and finish off my doff missions. Most I made in 1 day is 100 million. VOth AP weapons are nice cash cows so are certain ships.
Hey I Used to be Captain Data, well I guess I still am in game but the account link really screwed everything up

Where do you get the values for the Estimated Value column? Is that a guesstimate of what you expect it'll be worth at a later date?

It is a guess-estimate, generally I have seen prices at or above those levels at some point.

A fleet member gave me a good idea I thought I would post although I'm sure many people know this.
He has "phatom toons" as he calls them.
What he does is create a new toon, level him up to say level 20, and sell everything he gets from story/pve on the exchange, putting the ec he gets into his account bank.
He then deletes the toon and does this over and over (as a side project I understand).
The reason he does this is because of the insane prices some of the lower end gear goes for comapred to x and xi stuff. I had a look whilst levelling a new toon and he is not wrong.
I have neither the time nor the spare toonslots to do this myself but its just another way of making ec I happened upon.
