What's the cool down on the Multidimensional Transporters? Is it a 20 or 24 hour timer? (blog says "once a day")
Yeah, it'd be nice if it was just added as a pick up mission from a contact to make sure you're going to get it. Had the same problem last year with the CE event where you'd run it, get all the way to the end only to find out the timer hadn't expired yet so you'd have to run it again later.

^ This needs a fix. A timer for getting the One-Per-Day Reward should be placed on the Reputation Project Window. Some variable in the game keeps track of this so it can't be that hard to display it.

It's on a 20 Hour Cooldown according to the mouse-over on the Project Window. We just need the actual Cooldown Time displayed. Otherwise looks like I will be writing down when i got the reward for 20 characters :(

Just did the event myself. It was okay, i'll only be doing it on my main though, as the rewards do not justify the time required.

I assume the Escort role is to just blow stuff up? In the beginning cut-scene there are roles for Science (Rift Closing) and Cruisers (Power Relay's), but nothing is mentioned about Escorts..

It says "bind on equip" in your screenshot, meaning you were able to trade it until you put it into an active slot. It wasn't bind on pickup and we were able to freely trade it, sell it and downgrind it, right from the beginning until 6 days ago.

Are you sure it's because of the event and not because of the JHAS lottery? As far as Dilithium goes, the event probably keeps the price from going up even more, since people who are running the mirror event currently aren't earning any Dilithium at all and will have earned less than they would have if they'd stuck to grinding STFs.

Yeah I edited my post a couple minutes after because I realized I misread it, but you quoted me before I edited it LoL.

Attack ship or not, dil exchange is going to go up. Each time they have a special event like this (CE event twice), the prices start going up the first day the event starts and keeps going up because the zen sellers know everybody is gonna want to trade all that dil from the event project, which means the supply of zen is going to run low and prices will stay high for a while. In a couple weeks the prices will probably be at least 145 dil per zen. Yeah the attack ship thingy is influencing it now because everybody is buying doff packs trying to get it. So we have a double whammy here. :(

What happened here Cryptic??? This event/mission is a disaster, plain and simple. My ship would not even move until the end of wave 3. By wave 4 I was destroyed. Guess what? Respawn wouldn't work. Nor would escape. I had to close the game (my computer) to exit. It would have been nice to see this on the test server and find some of the bugs reported here. Like I've been sayinmg for three years..... TEST EVERYTHING.

Hi the Mirror Universe event game play choppy, other PvEs are not choppy to play. Is it because the Mirror Universe event is more graphic intense. Just want to know if anyone has the same problem.

Well since the new Mirror Invasion sounds like a funless dud, perhaps Cryptic you should revamp it totally with my idea. That would be, you know, actual FUN.

Heres my idea I posted last month:

Personally Id like a Mirror Invasion that does some 5 man Starship fighting for 8 min, then goes to ground where we take our Captains and two BOs down to the starbase to clear out some halls and activate the starbases defenses on a 5 minute timer, if you complete the objective in time, the starbase activates its defensive turrets to help with the TRIO of Mirror ship bosses for a 5 on 3 starship battle finale that lasts about 7 minutes for a 20 min mission total for a good equiped team. An elite team can finish it faster.

In the starbase interior, make four paths that lead to two separate activation points, 2 path options per activation point with predictable defenses and obvious strategy options to plow through each of the four paths. When the 5 captains beam down with their BOs, we must pair up in a team of 2 and a team of 3 captains. Two paths will need a three captain team, the other two paths are easier but different requiring a 2 captain team. Our professions will determine what grouping we should pair up in and what path to take to push through the Mirror defenses already in place in the interior. That way it feels a little different on the ground with multiple path and pairup options. Beam us down, give us 20 seconds to evaulate our away teams, then start the 5 min timer and we run into action. I love co op missions that let me showcase my bridge crew. If you can do full away teams that would be even better, but Id be happy with 2 BOs per Captain.

I've seen it stated before that there are inherent problems in the engine with regards to combining space and ground missions in an STF, though maybe what I saw was outdated or wrong, so forgive me if I'm outdated.

But in addition to a potential tech problem, I like to be able to choose space or ground separately. I mostly like space, and ground, though I do actually like the Dyson ground game, has some... problems that others have stated elsewhere.

TLDR: Let's keep ground and space separate. Pick your poison; don't force me to pick your poison for myself.

Edit: And I played it 7x last night for my alts, over a span of ~2 hrs. I thought it was fun, and by no means a "funless dud" - though tough to 'grok' a bit. But I think I will be able to stand running this repeatedly, if only on regular difficulty at first for sure - Elite is quite tough for non-optimized builds, I think.

Edit 2: But to be clear, I am not happy about the relatively tight time constraints on this rep project. Or the alt-unfriendliness of how it's organized. But that's just me. I hope I can continue to enjoy it as I continue to do it.
Please reconsider ARC. Please make it optional, at the least. PLEASE.
It seems the vast majority of your most active players (forum regulars) hate the idea... and while that's a small subset of the playerbase, I think it's an important constituency.
THE PLAYERS DO NOT WANT THIS.

This event is really awful. So, they basically "force" you to play it every day, or you will not able to complete the project. 14 transporters and we have about 20 days total time, people who missed the even the 2 or 3 first days its probably that will never complete the project.

Its probably that i will just forget about it. Im not going to feel like i "need" to login only to do that stupid event, every day or i miss the opportunity to gather the doff (the only reason the even its worthy , for real). This is a game, for god sake, how the hell do you expect people to enjoy it if you, cryptic literally force em to play when you want, and instead of giving us more days to have more opportunities (not everybody can play every day , for god sake, cryptic wth u thinking?), seriously, the good thing is, you will know perfectly if you can complete the project or no, so people that can only play 3 or 4 days in a week will just forget about it and keep playing the game as always, no headaches (well, no more than the usual ones, anyways).

I spent about 2hrs last night running the new Mirror Invasion Event mission on half-dozen characters. And here are my thoughts:

    Pros:
    • I'm a DOff fan, and *IF* I can bring myself to repeat this boring and often frustrating mission 14 times I'll get a neat new promotional Duty Officer. Got to run it 84 times if I want to get the DOff on all my mains... Ugh, not looking forward to that.

    Cons:
    • Time-wasting cutscene. The instructional video at the beginning is ... Well, instructional (sure isn't entertaining (even with the Obisek VO)), I guess, but I don't need to see it the six times I had to watch it today, much less the 14-84 times I'll be forced to watch it if I want to complete the Event. I recommend in the future you have something like this as a mandatory-view-once/optionally repeatable wrapper/prequel mission.
    • The fixed minimum time clock is a lame. I'm ok if there's a clock that forces you to hurry, but after set goals (repair the star base, close X rifts, etc.) are achieved the mission should proceed. I hate having to wait around for a timer to finish.
    • It gets annoying to clear an area and then while trying to close a rift or repair a satellite and just when you're about to complete the process another bad guy spawns and pings you for a point of damage that interrupts the work. I can't stress out utterly frustrating this is. Honestly, this reason alone is likely to make me quit this b***ch.
    • Unimpressive rewards. Granted there's a nice Event Reward, but the individual play-through rewards feel underwhelming for the effort.

I've got a lot keeping me busy with work and real life, and when I heard about a new Event I was excited to get back to playing STO for some distraction (after taking a month off), but this just is NOT fun. Honestly, this might be the first STO Event that I don't finish.

    :(

Hmmm... I had tried pressing ESC, but the cutscene didn't go away. >shrug< :o

    I'll try it again.

Still, if I'm stuck just sitting there for a minute it's not much better. I suppose my carrier captains may benefit, but for the others it's a waste of time.
Then i dont understand you. In the past, some events were just really far worst than this one.
Each person's opinion on what they do/do not find enjoyable (or even tolerable) will vary. I've been playing STO for over four years now, and I can't remember a mission this bad. Sure there were some stinkers (like chasing mini-Qs), but they were quick. Or if they did take time, they were at least moderately entertaining (for a least a dozen run-throughs, anything gets bad and grindy when you have to play it a zillion times ;)).

To me, this mission wasn't fun the first time I played it and after six plays I'm not looking forward to the seventh.

Curiously, which did you find "far worse"?

I think these two things are linked together. I felt when playing it like my level of skill, equipment and effort was not really reflected in the mission progress or in the level of rewards.

I mean, take for example an Elite STF - when I roll in with my best geared character and the experience of having done it eleventy billion times, I don't have to ask whether I'm rocking face compared to stumbling in half awake on an ill-equipped alt and blearily hitting spacebar while hoping I'm following someone who knows what they're doing.

This is not least because my effort pays off in the most important metric for any repeatable event, faster completion.

For those people who have basically completed the pre-dreadnaught phase early and then putter about for several minutes closing portals, that puttering is not rewarded to any degree measurable by actual people. I mean, what's the real spread in rewards between rocking face and nodding-bird on the spacebar key? +/- 5 marks? What does closing one more portal actually matter in phase one? I submit that it is not worth the effort of flying over to it.

A team that is well geared, experienced, and lucky, should be rewarded for their rocking of mirror face in an unambiguously measurable way, by faster completion or significantly larger end reward.

Problem with your suggestion is this:

Once released, your suggestion would be ripped apart in the forums as too long, not enough experience, too convoluted, or anything others gripe about.

In a nutshell, you would not get the praise or appreciation you might be expecting. Rather you would more than likely get a pages and pages of rants about what is wrong with the mission, and how someone would could build a better mission "if they only listened to my suggestion I made last month".

    ...oh, wait... that just happened.

I'm going to go ahead and do the event on a couple of my toons, but I agree with what others have said about the rewards being disappointing given the amount of grinding and the length/complexity of the mission.

Either the completion period should be extended (like through the end of April) or there should be a bonus reward of some kind ... like 200 lobi per account or something.

I think, frankly, it's still Alt Friendly. It's when you start skyrocketing into higher numbers and you just have to have every last thing for all of your alts that it becomes alt unfriendly. And, at that point, you have to wonder: is it worth it?

Haha yeah I have 14 characters right now. I'm only running this with 5 though. I had considered doing it with all of them, but then I calculated how many runs that would be (196 runs, average of 3.5 - 4 hours a day) and decided that it really wasn't that important haha. If the rewards were stellar then I probably would have, but the rewards are only 'ok' so five is plenty.

It doesn't say what level you have to be to particupate when you add this to your event reputation mission. But I open up my PvE and see no such thing to click on for the invasion thing.

But on the arc games community website it says you have to be level 50, is this true and why I am not seeing it on my PvE????

That's not fair. Why is this a rule?

    Thank you.

After playing this Mirror Invasion Event (MIE) a couple days I still enjoy it, but it is too lengthy. For my main toon I play it on Elite, but all my other toons I just do normal.

This is a question I posed on another thread discussing the MIE:

    Singularity Advantage?

Just wondering if anyone else has tried & experienced this:

On a couple of my Romulan toons using Singularity Core powered ships I just wait till i can acivate my Quantum Absorption. It seems while this skill is active I can shut-down portals &/or power-up the defenses even if getting hit with energy &/or kinetics. The key it not to be firing myself.

I apologize if this has been mentioned/discussed already. Was just curious if any ohers have this experience?

    Good luck & good hunting!
