    Bleh. Buggy and tedious, imo.

Bring back the old one, especially with how much expertise rep needs.

Its really getting annoying being shot at while trying to close portals even after jamming and scrambling nearby enemies with full countermeasure spec. Scrambled enemy should be shooting his allies not me, give sci some love and let them use alternatives to just DPS everything.

Artifically prolonged, time-gated mission = fail.

I will just do it 14 times to get the 50k dil and then forget it ever existed.

And yes bring back the old MU, that one was useful for leveling up, this one is useless.

Was expecting more from the mission really. When they made such a big deal about having to work together and unique opportunities based on cruiser/science/escort I was actually quite intrigued. Then I realised the time difference is around 2 seconds and not really worth mentioning. It would have been good if Sci could send out a localized tachyon burst and instantly close them or something and if Engi couldn't be stopped from activating the beams by getting shot or something like that. As usual the escorts duty is, fire at everything in sight and wait for the four rifts around you to spam enough ships to overwhelm your defences and kill you, then repeat.

Not going to bother doing this with more than a few of my 14 characters. I hate missions which are needlessly spam tastic and time gated. I also hate unskippable cut-scenes, an opinion which has been widely shared in feedback about them since they started getting introduced. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them the first time I see them, but when running it several times in short succession, it gets more annoying than good.

I ran into a major glitch. We had fired on the Galaxy-X down to zero and it wouldn't die. 45 seconds firing on this thing while it was on 0% hull. What a pain.

is the dreadnought glitched too? it seems to turn into an odyssey star cruiser after the cut scene of being a Gal-X
The Oddy is the ISS O'Brien, while the G-X is the ISS London. But I've only seen the G-X in the cut scene.

The weird thing is the G-X has Gravity well too and a really strong one. I gotta say it sucked getting blasted in the face by a high yield Tricobalt.

I agree on those improvements, being knocked out of closing a rift is a real pain when they start really coming through.

While many are saying how easy it is, several times today we were completely swarmed. It's annoying being knocked out of closing a rift at 95% done. It reminded me of Crystalline Cataclysm before it was fixed.

    Hailing all Captains!

Thanks for your patience with the new Mirror Event content, and thank you for reporting these issues to us.

Your diligence in reporting these troubles has given us enough information to identify and target these problems, and we will be addressing them with a new patch as soon as possible. Even potentially as soon as tomorrow morning.

Keep an eye out for a new Maintenance announcement thread, that will fill you in on the ETA time for said maintenance.

In the mean time, you can avoid the main issue of not being able to finish the event by working together as a team, and avoiding closing the last portal, until you have fully engaged the Terran Empire's Dreadnought Odyssey vessel. I know this can be difficult during PUGs, but try your best.

Good luck in-game and we will see you flying around as we all get off work and jump in to earn our own Multidimensional Transporter.

There's several names for each dreadnought model: an Odyssey could be the O'Brien, or it could be the Sisko or Spock. The Gal-X could be the London, Kirk, or the perennially-invading Stadi.

There could be others, but those are the ones that I'm aware of.

The fixed time limit is also very annoying. Basically sat around for 4 minutes after getting to the 5th tier. Forcing players to 'play' is not fun at all. Please remove the fixed timer in the patch and allow us to complete the objectives without having to literally be forced to idle while waiting for the final objective.

Yeah its not a great sign when I can alt-tab and read a couple news articles in the middle of a mission just because there's a set time limit.

Dunno if this is happening for other people, but the Dreadnaught is transforming after it goes through a rift. Arrives as a Gal-X, then retreats and comes back as an Ody...

I think they should look into this. Perhaps sci captains can be granted a bound stack of tachyon burst devices when they enter the map. (Although I would prefer it as an innate ability with a recharge time, consumables would probably be easiest to implement.)

What's the cool down on the Multidimensional Transporters? Is it a 20 or 24 hour timer? (blog says "once a day")

    Has this been answered?

Yeah, it'd be nice if it was just added as a pick up mission from a contact to make sure you're going to get it. Had the same problem last year with the CE event where you'd run it, get all the way to the end only to find out the timer hadn't expired yet so you'd have to run it again later.

Well since the new Mirror Invasion sounds like a funless dud, perhaps Cryptic you should revamp it totally with my idea. That would be, you know, actual FUN.

Heres my idea I posted last month:

Personally Id like a Mirror Invasion that does some 5 man Starship fighting for 8 min, then goes to ground where we take our Captains and two BOs down to the starbase to clear out some halls and activate the starbases defenses on a 5 minute timer, if you complete the objective in time, the starbase activates its defensive turrets to help with the TRIO of Mirror ship bosses for a 5 on 3 starship battle finale that lasts about 7 minutes for a 20 min mission total for a good equiped team. An elite team can finish it faster.

In the starbase interior, make four paths that lead to two separate activation points, 2 path options per activation point with predictable defenses and obvious strategy options to plow through each of the four paths. When the 5 captains beam down with their BOs, we must pair up in a team of 2 and a team of 3 captains. Two paths will need a three captain team, the other two paths are easier but different requiring a 2 captain team. Our professions will determine what grouping we should pair up in and what path to take to push through the Mirror defenses already in place in the interior. That way it feels a little different on the ground with multiple path and pairup options. Beam us down, give us 20 seconds to evaulate our away teams, then start the 5 min timer and we run into action. I love co op missions that let me showcase my bridge crew. If you can do full away teams that would be even better, but Id be happy with 2 BOs per Captain.

Not that it doesn't sound like it has potential but ... just how long do you think it would take to build that ground part? Weeks to make, minutes to play.

Figures. Dilithium exchange prices are already going up and will continue to do so. Just like the other events like this that offered a 50k dil reward.

In 2 weeks when people start getting their event projects done the dil exhange will be up to around 145 dil per zen, maybe more. Then it will take a couple months or so to come back down and it will be just little a higher than it was before this event and stay there. Stupid greedy jerks.

Edit: Oh yeah, the chance to win a jem'hadar attack ship on top of that.

Surprisingly, this mission was very good... after 19 characters going through, I still feel like doing some more runs. As I posted somewhere else, I really hope that this mission is given a place in the mission queue the same as Crystalline Entity was after its intro event was finished.

Aside from the afore-mentioned bugs posted by others, Cryptic, you guys did a pretty good job with this mission.

Edit: Oh misread that. You're right. The doff from the last CE event rep project was bind on equip, meaning it binds only if you put it on active duty. Some evidence: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/MonkeyGuts69/screenshot_2014-03-14-01-07-00_zps74257ea5.jpg~original

I slotted the old project the day before the last CE event because I wanted that nifty crystal shard non-combat pet. I filled up what I could for the new project for the doff before the event ended and I still have the project waiting to be finished.

Speaking of which, Cryptic said during the last Crystalline Cataclysm event that they were going to come up with another way for us to get the crystal shard pet, but that was many months ago and so far nothing has come of it or been mentioned since. I have a couple characters created after the last event I would like get the pet on. Perhaps put it in the lobi store for like 30 lobi or something? :)

As a matter of fact, the doff from the last CE event rep project *was* bind on pickup. I still have the project slotted and partially completed on a couple of characters. Some evidence: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/MonkeyGuts69/screenshot_2014-03-14-01-07-00_zps74257ea5.jpg~original

It says "bind on equip" in your screenshot, meaning you were able to trade it until you put it into an active slot. It wasn't bind on pickup and we were able to freely trade it, sell it and downgrind it, right from the beginning until 6 days ago.
Figures. Dilithium exchange prices are already going up and will continue to do so. Just like the other events like this that offered a 50k dil reward.

Are you sure it's because of the event and not because of the JHAS lottery? As far as Dilithium goes, the event probably keeps the price from going up even more, since people who are running the mirror event currently aren't earning any Dilithium at all and will have earned less than they would have if they'd stuck to grinding STFs.
