Systems Designer Phil "Gorngonzolla" Zeleski reveals more details about the upcoming Klingon Advanced Dyson Science Destroyer ships in this entry of the Season 8 News Dev Blog series.
I think that the separate deflector is a silly (read: bad) decision but all nine ships for 10,000 zen is a legitimately good bundle so I can't complain there.
This is a Cryptic joke. The ship aren't that great. Now they are throwing in a whole bunch of goodies to make it seem sweet. 9 ships really?Talk about desperate money making.
The 9 pack bit is a joke right? Surely they aren't expecting people to buy the same ship 3 times (especially if the Rom and Fed variants have the same console spread and universals).

Other migitgating factors not withstanding (such as the abysmal Boff seating), the Dyson Secondary deflector is still confined to the Anniversary version, so as I see it, it's not a complete set and therefore, isn't worth buying.
Those variations look nice - if minimalist -, but i'd need to see the Romulan and Fed ones, but that probably won't change my opinion on the decisions made regarding these ships.

You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.
So, all 3 variants carry dual heavy proton cannons in tactical mode?
What a missed opportunity to give the other 2 variants a different proton weapon.
Looks like i'll have to pass on this.

My thoughts exactly. Unless they make the secondary deflector and the power core available outside of the anniversary event, no sale here. Aside from that I also think those ships aren't even really good.
You can either fly a subpar science ship or a subpar escort with a locked weapon slot.....
I wanna see the Federation one. I LOVE the one I'm using, but there's something that just nags at me about it design-wise. If the Federation one looks good, MAYBE I'll get it. If not, I've always had my eyes on either the Nebula or the Sci Vessel.
Been waiting for a decent sci destroyer, and if the MoQ had replaceable proton cannons I might bite. Seems I'll just keep saving for the old lockbox temporal destroyer instead.

I am not amused... wow I'm sorry but no just no...
I normally don't post but just no...
The juice is not worth the squeeze on this one... I am not paying 100 dollars to have all my toons have access to this... good lord... normally when I have posted before I have defended Cryptic and Perfect Fail err... World... but this is just plain greed... plain and simple.
Good luck Cryptic but if this is the way your headed I'll just keep my money to myself and recommend others do the same.
a 9 ship pack for those that have Fed, Rom and KDF toons.. good idea... the discount is nuff getting the 9 pack to make it pretty worth while. I may in fact hold off untill I have the where with all to get the 9 pack myself.
I'm glad to see the clarification on whats disabled in tactical mode. a bit more then we were originally told, but if your running both sets it shouldn't cause to much in the way of problems... still leaves you with plenty of surprises in destroyer mode.
Now if we could just get the studio to nerf the entire space combat system back to rationality in the interests of better game play....
I was also expecting the C-Store ships to offer more than 1 console slot, and 1 console. I have the anniversary ship on all 5 of my characters, and don't use all of the console slots now. An extra console slot will not help me.
To be honest, I was expecting them to have better stats for that price.
Leader of Elite Guardian Academy.Would you like to learn how to run a fleet? Would you like to know how to do ship builds (true budget as well as high end)? The join the Academy today!
Meh. . .I am sticking to my Breen Warcruiser. I find that i prefer that to everything else even if it limits what I can do with my science abilities. I got and tried the Dyson science vessel and was underwhelmed.
Klingons: Today, is a good day to die. Federation: Today, no one needs to die. Romulans: Today is a good day for somebody else to die.
My worst fears come true. 9-pack with the only difference is console slots and a weapon console set pieces. It feels like a major rip off compared to the other ship sets.
Sorry, but this is way too rich for my blood. Good luck to those who do buy it.
Of course you would be "excluded" from the 9-pack if you bought a 3-pack because it would cost you the same $100 to get the other two packs. So it really does not matter does it? What a silly thing to say.
Also I cannot tell if they are getting more brazen or desperate with cash grabs.
NOTE: Purchasing any one of the 9 ships individually, or any one of the 3-pack bundles, will make the account ineligible to purchase the 9-pack bundle. Also, purchasing one of the factional ships individually will make the account ineligible to purchase that faction?s 3-pack bundle.
This seems odd to me. Is there some sort of technical issue with this new cross-faction bundle mechanic? Considering every time a new 3-pack comes out a few newbies buy just one by mistake, or not understanding that there was a discount available in the first place, I think you'd be limiting the $100 sales in those cases. On top of that, some people may want to try out a full C-Store spec'd (versus the lower-spec'd hull and shield freebie) before committing to the full multi-pack bundle.
I think people should just complain to customer support. It seems to be heard Cryptic has to see things in numbers. Considering the only thing they see is $$$ which they want to suck dry from players.
Woot, woot...check out the possible savings there, eh?
2500 Zen each (9 total)
...or...
3pack for 5000 Zen (33.3% savings!)
9pack for 10000 Zen (55.5% savings vs. buying 9 individuals or 33.3% savings vs. buying 3 3packs)
...or...
None for 0 Zen (100% savings!)
The last is the best deal, imho. Don't get me wrong, it's not a "TRIBBLE Cryptic" thing in the least. There are plenty of ships that I could easily recommend for one reason or another. With one slight change (which I'm surprised that folks testing these didn't push for until they were blue in the face) of making that Tac Ensign a Uni Ensign, I could even see taking a look at picking up the Rom 3pack. As they stand though...well, Geko had mentioned that there's likely to be ships each month...so I'll just keep my eye out for next month.
To be fair, mind you - to the folks complaining that it's just a +1 Console ship; um - no, it's equivalent to a Fleet version of the free one. It's not only sporting the +1 Console, but also the +10% hull and +10% shield mod.
It's just that Tac Ensign instead of a Uni Ensign. You've got the Chontay with 4/2/4, MoQ with 3/3/4, and Ta'Sub with 3/2/5 consoles...can't you see where folks might want that Tac Ensign as an Eng or a Sci? Big blunder, imho...big blunder.

BTW, FED and ROM ship's Stats to come soon in an upcoming blog, right?
i am glad i bought mine vesta 3x pack.
Not being able to remove that awful Proton Cannon, is a deal breaker for me...
I think they are. Like really. (coughs laughing)

Automatically worse than every other science ship out there.

Awoken Dead
Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
The proton cannons are irreplaceable.
Let the fed one keep sensor analysis and subsystem targeting in TAC mode.

Would be a nice "thanks for playing our game we love our players" gesture.

50%? I'd take it at 25%
