Heh, first... 2/27 was over two months ago. Second, as for the number of posts in the PvP area of the forums (much less anywhere)...
...we've got brilliant folks like the following posting anything and everything to General Discussion:
That quote is gold.
I was referring to the last real response in the thread which was around a month ago... then after a few weeks it started again the other day. I don't think someone responding to a thread that had conversation going on it a few weeks back is a necro. I made the post count comment because I don't think in that time the thread dropped off the first page... for sure the deepest it got was page two. If the forums have died to the point where threads on the second page are necro territory Cryptic should be worried.
1. Faw
2. Drain Mechanic or lack of one.
3. leech / valdore (I'll lump em together if I want)
4. Lack of Diminishing return formulas on to many things. (Boff traits / Shield resist / dmg multipliers to name a few)
5. General quality of the code (bugs and ui lag)... and lack of proper match making systems.
5 Just isn't enough... I don't have room to complain about things like A2B being on the wrong cool down which makes Tech doffs super OP. Doffs in general could be number 6 though.
1.) Power Drain mechanics.(you can spec to the max and have as much drain reducing gear as you possibly can fit on your ship and still have a drainboat scrub bottom out all your power levels)
2.) Emergency Power to Engines(the speed bonus cannot be countered short of disabling the engines, which does not tend to last long)
3.) Tactical abilities(gives absurd buffs to non-weapon abilities)
4.) Doff and boff stacking.
5.) Scimitar(c'mon, 5 weapon slots AND 5 tac consoles???)
It may not have 5 tac slots, but 4 with 5 for weapons, and 3 rear is pretty close.
It doesn't have OP scrambling pets or any pets for that matter, or a battle cloak, or valdore console, or stupid singularity powers, or DOFFs or thaleron pulse or...
But it's ok because in the film the ship is really rare and expensive and the game ship has to be exactly like the one in the film.
1.) Teamwork. I mean really what were they thinking?!
2.) The overwhelm drowsiness that overcomes me when I'm playing any PvE. I feel like I need to go lie down.
3.) Ground PvE - when for no apparent reason you stop sprinting even though you are gripping the mouse in an iron ball fist.
4.) The audible sigh of relief when I log-out.
5.) The voice in my head that keeps saying, "That's the last $%^& time."
Most of the things that are wrong with PVP are things that are wrong with combat in general, although there are a couple of things that are exploited more in PVP
1) DOFFs... They should give a slight buff to the potency of an ability rather than add whole new effects.
2) Excess power availabilty, compounded by a corresponding absence of power-drain on ability consumption, means there's no penalty for over-buffing a subsystem (or 4).
3) Lack of diminishing returns on all skills and modifiers (rather than just resists) further allows for over-buffing on broad abilities
4) Romulan ships (worse than the BOFFs) and lockbox ships, making Fed and KDF mainline ships obsolete
5) Lack of an immersive universe built around tension and conflict. Instead we have a single-player game with a shared lobby where combat is literally used as a time-sink (either as filler in the story, or as hamster wheel in the end-game reps).
Andorian Escort doesn't have BC, its set is really really bad for pvp, crappy shield modifier and hull, way too heavy tactical bridge officer layout, even worse than Fleet Defiant, durability is none. It's glass cannon, made by a very, very very thin glass. No wonder players favor the Charal.

Are one month old threads considered necroed ?
Life support perhaps... but dead. Don't think so.
Not at the PvP sections new 3 posts per day rate.
2. People that respond to whiners
3. Entitled ones
4. ESD chat and pvp forum
5. DEM, A2B, FAW, Marion, battery, Leech combined mechanics

Things that are broken imho:
1) Rom-Boffs
2) Valdore console
3) FAW
All of those need to get nerfed to the ground or even removed/replaced.

Guess you forgot about the Avenger.

Praetor of the -RTS- Romulan Tal Shiar fleet!

Heck even the hull leech is over healing.
