Ok so we have cstore ships that we can reclaim if deleted but why can't we rebox the free ships or have a cstore thing to reclaim them? Cause if we get a free ship but once its unboxed . . .
Plus I'm always afraid I'm gonna hit the Delete button on a free ship I earned like the Breen ships, risian corvette, and Embassador enterprise c

Fret not.
If you want to dismiss a ship, merely brushing the delete button wont do it. You'll have to type in the name of the ship as well.
Thing is, we pay cash for a ship its an account unlock. Grind for a ship its chracter bound.

C-Store ships are account unlock. Whenever they do a C-Store giveaway the items selected are priced at 0 Zen. Technically we are purchasing the giveaway stuff for 0 Zen and unlocks them for use. C-Store ships can be dismissed and reclaimed for free after initial purchase.
Free ships from the anniversary events or other events are character unlocks only, but some version may still be available, such as the Support Cruiser. However, some events like the Winter Event are annual, and this year they actually brought back the Chel Gret, so it is possible that annual event ships like the Chel Gret and Risian corvette will be available again with their respective events.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

When you dismiss a ship you need to type the name of the ship in to confirm, so you shouldn't be able to accidentally delete a ship you want to keep.
Ah, ninja'd again...
Yes, but what if they accidentally hit the delete button and then accidentally hit all the correct keys in the right order for the name and click ok? Didn't think of that did you? Huh?

I never considered this scenario... And it's really not that unlikely to happen... I mean... The chances aren't infinitely small, right?
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

I was joking, yes it's an absolutely absurd scenario. I'm fine with protecting people from accidents with confirmations... and they've done that. I see no reason to protect people against mind boggling stupidity.

I know you were... I just felt your post was too short to let go, and moved on...
We had a few different people complain that this happened to their characters in CoH several times over the years. And then they'd get mad when people didn't support their requests to add more pop up windows to make sure they wanted to "accidentally" delete the character whose name they just typed out.
You're joking right..? I mean... No sorry... I can't wrap my head around that one... That's just too stupid.

I guess what I want is this. You have a ton of ships and you want a new ship that just came out. but in order to do so you need to delete one ship. There is no problem with a c-store ship cause you can always get it back. But if you need to delete say your Breen ship to make room. . . your screwed you ain't getting it back.
So why can't they put a system in place that if you got the free ship (breen ship, corvette, embassador) that if ever you need to delete it for room you can still get it back. Without having to wait till the winter event, etc to possibly get the ship again.

Hmmm, not sure if you counted up all the free ships and added them to the number of ships you get free per level, you'd be hitting the absolute ship cap.
You might need to buy some more ship slots, but thats doable.

Or you could, you know, buy additional ship slots.
I find that I can't conceiveably keep track of that many ships and have a reason to use them all. Just because I get a ship for free does not mean all of a sudden I'm going to use it. I get used to how one or two ships fly, and beyond that, the rest are week-long novelties. Clearing out room in my "spacedock" full of unused ships is simply, "honestly, am I ever going to use this again?"
I've only been playing for a year, but have never expanded my ship slots... I have five faves, and leave one slot open to receive new ones. If I like it, it replaces another. If I don't, it goes and the slot is reopened for the next one...
If a ship si really that important, I'd use the alts... My FED SCI has the list of five fave sci ships. My FED TAC has it's list of five fave tac ships... On my three free toons, that's 15 ships to keep track of...

Welcome to the human race. I recommend perusing the Darwin Awards to see how utterly stupid humans can be.
