The Saladin class would be a nice TOS-era addition, ditto for the Akula and Constellation for TOS Movie-era.

Actually, the Sydney Class was considerably larger than the Defiant Class and other similar vessels. Based on details of the model, corrected estimates put it at nearly the length of a Miranda (somewhere between 230 and 235 meters).
Cool! nice to know it's bigger than a flyspeck. :D

Problem is that this part of the episode is set in an alternate future where the Sphere Builders had not been defeated by Archer and his crew (otherwise the Expanse would not have been a gazillion times bigger than in the 22nd century)...a future that was averted at the end of Season 3.;)
Wait... didn't Daniels say that the presence of the Ent-J at the Battle of Procyon V was one of the REASONS why the Sphere builders decided to star a war between Humans and Xindi? IIRC, that was the impetus for the Xindi Sphere weapon. The Sphere builders wanted to destroy the Federation in the past so that the Federation wouldn't defeat them in the future.

Right, because 150-year old ships should be perfectly able to go head-to-head with ships from 2409.

haven't you noticed that we have ENT era ships already in the game? Heck, the Somraw even comes with a Fleet version. Compared to that, a Akula, Saladin or Constellation doesn't seem too far-fetched. (all of which were at least contemporaries of the Excelsior and possibly even the Ambassador-which both come in fleet variants)

I've been looking for something good to make my 50th post and here it is.

I would like to see a T5/Fleet Cons- kidding. Had a few of you going huh?

I'd really like to see a Qang class for the KDF. The ship from the IKS Gorkon books. Make it a true KDF science ship with Aux Disruptor cannons and a 4/2 weapons layout to give it that KDF flare.

Playable Starships I'd like to see, huh? I'm assuming (for the purpose of my post) that these are ships that we've not currently got, rather than ships that people would like changed (such as, in my case, the Star Cruiser Refit)?
    johngazman wrote: »

There are so many variations with that design as an origin, it's hard to pick out. One I have grown to love though, the Dawnstar. For that, I would direct you here.

I'm not sure if it would make sense putting it but I've always liked the look of the dauntless class from Voyager: http://www.scifi-meshes.com/gallery/data//501/3D_DAUNTLESS.jpg
Whilst I'm not a fan of the Dauntless design myself, I'd like to think that elements of that ship could one day go toward a new Star Cruiser Skin. The Dauntless design is the perfect base for that; pointed egg shaped saucer, compounded hull and weird lookin' nacelles.
    johngazman wrote: »
Dauntless supposedly becomes a Fed ship anyway when it turns up in Azati Prime.
A valid point you have here. Lazy special effects team. :P
A galaxy class that isn't the worst ship in the game. (perhaps the Allegiance class ?)
    http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aYsvFYqnsOc/ThIfcVJycoI/AAAAAAAADig/Xi9N--jpuIQ/s1600/allegiance_class.jpg
 This is essentially the Dawnstar Design (see above) with a Sovereign Saucer strapped to it. No.

I see that posted quite a bit. Would make a nice addition to the Republic Fleet.

As ... snazy as that looks, it appears too far advanced for the 25th Century. If you're looking for a neat Klingon Ship that'll be sure to hold it's ground, then I'd direct you to the C9A Battleship.

    ##### ##### #####

    Now what would I add?

If I could actually play as a Cardassian, within a Cardassian faction (none of this mini faction nonsense) then I'd vote for the Hendor Class Warship. I don't know whatever happened to that original high-end design, but there was a version of that ship (made by a guy called Achilles) for ST: Armada 2 which can be seen here. Just to give people an idea of what the thing would look like with textures.

If we are ever lucky enough to get more Vulcan designs, then I'd also recommend the Sotek Class. Not 100% sure on the author of that, though Altom or something springs to mind. I used to be involved with the FileFront Network (among others) and got to know a few names. It has been some time though. The ship in the picture was created by a guy named Aad, and was based upon the original concept.

There's also the Premonition Class (the original is a Star Trek Armada design) though the ship has been remade elsewhere. Think the best source is via someone named Queball over on Bridge Commander Files. That ship can be found here.

Then there are the ST: Dominion War Ships (from the PC game). The Federation Achilles, the Jem Hadar Heavy Cruiser, the Cardassian Norin, Tonga & Hutet, and the Klingon Kvort'cha.

Anyway, the Norway Class should be in. Just move away from the mega ships and give use something medium sized, but with incredible functionality.

Lol, if THAT ships is ugly....what do they consider half of their stuff???? Because to me, a lot of the ships in use nowadays, are beyond bugly!!!!

There's no canon or logic left in this game... that dog won't hunt no more!

So give us what we want... what we've wanted from the start! What many of us would PAY for... a competitive T5 Connie with as many skins as the D7. And those who wanna cry about that can jump in to your Voth battlecruiser, reeking of Dinosaur TRIBBLE, and fly in to the nearest supernova :P

As if a constitution could hold a candle to anything else up there. Go ahead, put it in. I'd love to watch it get smoked again and again by both my galaxy and my voth bulwark cruiser. T5 constitution gets a 3/3 setup, no cannons, 1 tac console and 2 of the others, 3 device slots, and no boff stations above ltcmndr.

Ummm, nope. Since it's so versatile, it get's 8/8 (no dual cannons though), console layout of 10/10/10, with 16 device slots, and 6 cmdr boff stations of each class.

    Dreadnought-Class
    Hull: 38,500
    Shield Modifier: 1.15
    Weapons: 5 fore, 3 aft
    Crew: 300
    Boff Layout:
Cmdr. Tac, Lt. Cmdr. Eng, Lt. Tac, Ens. Universal, Lt. Universal
    Device Slots: 2
    Consoles: 5/4/1
    Turn Rate: 10
    Impulse Modifier: 0.18
    Inertia Rating: 40
Bonus Power: +10 weapons, +10 shields
    Abilities:
    All Standard Cruiser Commands
    Special Console: Phaser Barrage

another jjcrapverse ship that will NEVER get added because of the paramount and cbs legal stuff. i wish people would stop asking for jjcrap stuff, it will not happen.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.

I'd like to see the Jellyfish once Cryptic figures out how to do moving components on a ship model.

It could be a science heavy small craft with some Red Matter gimmick as a console and the ability to mount cannons.

Ships I like to see? Gosh there is many. Pretty much all canonical ships.

Klingons still missing the D5, D4 (really supposed to be the Koro'tinga, but Cryptic made it a "modern" ship), the Enterprise-Era BoP, the K'Vort, the VoD'legh (Negh'var Varient).

Federation: The Kitbashes (yes I said it, not everyone hates them. Especially those who are fond of the New Orleans).

Non Canonical, the Light Cruiser Config (Miranda Config) of the Ambassador that was regarded unofficially as the Apollo-class.

The Proto Enterprises that were in the background at ESD in the movies.

And of course, me being selfish my own designs. (People highly praised the Goddard, Qoj'chu, Vega, and Albion).

Actually they do have moving components on a ship model. Take a good close look at the Assimilated Borg Engine, there is a circular ring spinning inside it.

And mentioning moving parts and the Jellyfish, perhaps Cryptic could add the TOS-era Orion scout.

Thats the original Probert Ambassador design that was seen in the paintings on the Enterprise-D. Which was recently brought to life by some fans of the design.

This is Probert's personal property so Cryptic has to negotiate with him for rights. Then they likely have to add it as a new ship or explain it a radicalized refit (similar to changes from the Constitution to the Constitution-refit) for the battles of 2409.

Well the Krenim ships would be cool and the Voth were fighting someone so why not them?
If they want more room to design how about caitian/ferasan ships. Ships from the shared ancestry start showing up and getting rolled into the existing militaries to fill gaps.

When I was a kid, I saw a centerfold of some variant of this ship in Star Trek Magazine, and it's always been one of my favorite ship designs.

People are always asking for some civilian, non faction ships.
I figure take this one, make it at tier 3-5, somewhere in there. It seems to be a pretty common site around all corners of the galaxy, even in the delta quadrant, and has been around from ENT-VOY, so it's obviously a venerable, flexible design.

Give it 2 LTC (Eng and Tac) and 3 LT slots (1 sci, 2 uni), 3 of each console, and make it some weak middleground of the 3 ship types. Science vessel turn rate, 7 weapons + cannons or subsystem targeting, cruiser power bonuses or something. Stick it in the lobi store for 4/6/800. Or stick it in a doff pack. Whatever.

anyway, links to the actual ship. it's so pretty. I'm partial to the kriosian version myself.

    http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/File:Alien_vessel_fought_off_by_the_command_module_of_the_Horizon.jpg

    Also, while I'm at it,

I'm still pushing for the J-Class freighter. Featured in the enterprise episode "horizon" it was able to disconnect from its cargo module and become a zipply little fighter/shuttle.

I think that would be a cool mechanic. Your freighter drops its supply trailer, which sits there, or is an AOE regen ward, maybe a weak-in-damage-but-tankier turret, and the part you fly becomes a tier 1 escort or NX-ish ship, able to better defend itself.

    http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/J_class

also, I don't care what tier it's at for fear of insulting the timeline sticklers that won't let anyone else's enjoyment break their limitedly defined immersion, but age aside, I'd also like to see playable conestoga class, in any role/level.

Voodieh is to voDIeH (Klingon word of "emperor") what Kronos is to Qo'noS, it's the human phonetic spelling of a Klingon word.;)

Even though we already have that ship (sans the spikes). What we are actually missing is the Negh'var from DS9, which has the underslung guns that are missing from the "All Good Things" and STO versions.

    This ship:
    thecorbomitemaneuverhd269.jpg

And, for size comparison, it next to the TOS Enterprise:
    STCorbomite.jpg

Hey--it's so powerful, Kirk didn't even try to shoot at it. He could only beat it by bluffing his way out.

And we know the race behind this ship has at least some interaction with the Federation--after all, they introduced Tranya.

And it's a great ship--only needs one person to run it. Add stations for bridge officers and you've got quite the monster ship. Would even dwarf those Scimitars.

...Suuure, and why don't we include the Krenim Superweapon ship?

    http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Krenim_weapon_ship
For added points, let's give it its Main Weapon and Temporal Shielding. So not only can No-one do a damn thing about it, but it can wipe you out in a single shot! Hell, why not make it permanently erase the target's toon from the game on destruction, to better add to the time-erasing fun?

See, there's a few things that definitely shouldn't be in-game. Playable behemoth/superships that are, by canon, stupidly overpowered is one. (I'm looking at you, Borg Drones asking for cubes for Queen's Cycle.) Any attempts to balance it would leave the few who actually like it to complain that it's nowhere near what it should be in accusations of gimping. Making it faithful in any way to what's on screen would lead to outcry of OP and Gamebreaker. Such things are not gonna end well, ever.

That being said, I can faintly recall a couple interesting designs from Voyager that I would not mind seeing brought out of obscurity. The Zahl and the other Ships that opposed the krenim, for instance.
