I've been running this game on Linux from day 1 with the Wine Windows emulator. It works well for non-graphics intensive things like doffing and the Winter Event activities. Wine isn't directly compatible with the Direct3D video API this game is built around so it has to go through a messy conversion which affects performance badly when you run things like STFs or NWS. I use a dedicated Windows installation for that. There is ongoing work in Linux and Wine at the moment to provide a native Direct3D interface in the future but there's no ETA yet.
if more game companies used linux os i would be playing games on that, never liked windows OS. linux is a far more powerful OS. thankfully steam is going that direction which is a big change.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
This thread fits well into what would be defined as "necro-ing" which is against forum rules. Your best bet is to start a new thread, out find a more current one, probably under the Support section.

Short answer, I've heard various reports that lead me to believe this is less and less possible lately. Good luck to you.
