ARC not initializing STO

I got tired of having issues after patches. Usually I would have to log into the game literally 20 times before it would let me in. CTRL+ALT+DEL 20 ****ing times. Then maybe it would let me play. After EVERY patch.

I got to thinking....maybe it's the old software I had. I still had my BETA-era stuff (minus a few .hoggs). So I uninstalled everything, to include deleting the cache folder named "Cryptic Studios." Once this was finished I downloaded ARC. Hopefully it would run more smoothly.

I found that I can't log in. The button does NOTHING. I can't even re-download the game. Way to ****ing go, PWE. Redo the whole godawful interface and conveniently forget that people still want to play. Lot of money to be made there.

Is there a workaround just for downloading? I considered using my old disc, but then I realized I would have to log in anyway to get it patched up. Is there a torrent or something I can use? All I want to do is play a FREE game. Maybe I'm asking too much.
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.

    just want to confirm, i have the same problem. Arc Browser updated and since then i get the message that it tries to initialize Star Trek Online. But it does not respond anylonger. I can cancel but the game does not start.

    Running on Win7 (64) if that matters somehow.
