We can all do whatever the hell we want. if he wants to go in a T1 fine, if you feel screwed over, leave the match or get over it. The word is "game" not "be serious and don't have fun" yes, it this game has a hardcore aspect to it, but its a GAME.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS POST! SECONDED! DO NOT TELL US HOW TO PLAY! IF I WANT TO TAKE A CRUISER and load it w/ MK XII, ADVANCED, or ELITE gear, that's what I'm going to do, because it is FUN! :)

If I had a way to blacklist a player from ever being matched up with me again, you'd have a good point, but there isn't. Give me a personal "ban-hammer" and be my guest, I will only have to suffer them once.

I'm all for having fun, but would I want to have fun at the expense of the four other guys I am teamed up with? Of course not. It should be expected that a person who is participating in a team event is respectful and playing in a way that brings some synergy to the team, not purposely acting as a detriment.

That's sad...not because your damage is low, but because I've seen worse from people in T5 ships.

Right so I managed to get into a pug with this guy. His character name is Fred G Sanford and his user tag is Dancing Horta (lol)

He is in a fleet called Unrepentant, I chatted him up...he is a bit...crazy I guess. He told me the Oberth is all fleet weapons and very rare purple gear. Has an RCS console for flight turn...forgot what the rest are.

he claims he did it out of boredom but after he saw how much fun the ship is he uses it a lot. he also said he read this thread and that whoever doesnt like what he does can...and i am quoting here...."kneel before my godliness and llick the fungus off my feet"

have to admit, the damn ship packs a punch and flies around like a mosquito.the colors ate also oddly fascinating to watch.

    Pick Up Group

Basically what you get when you queue solo into something, a group of random players you dont know.

It didn't seem like shaming to me. It felt more like... honoring.

    Or something.

    Also, Blue Falcon?

    Sorry, military jargon.

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=blue%20falcon

Comes from a Hanna Barbara cartoon. Old School cartoons.

Normally I would say if you want to use a T1 in an STF, go for it IN A PRIVATE MATCH. Give everyone else the courtesy of NOT being THAT GUY.

This is totally not a name and shame. I fully am in awe of this little ship.

This is the sort of thing that makes STO fun....stuff like this....a T1 science ship fitted out with top of the line gear shooting colors everywhere.....i personally love it.

only 3 different turret colours and no RF/Scatter?

sounds like a rather boring and colourless skittleboat...

Frankly, the way most random teams work, as long as you can pull 3K mission DPS then you're okay in my book. I frequently see players who score less mission damage than a single wing of fighters off my carrier.

I made a rainbow turret a2b scatter mogh for a laugh

...considering it was spitting skittles, it did a pretty impressive job (and got a few laughs as eveyone expected a sane build)

Probably someone very bored with STO. Understandable. It's tough to take STFs seriously after countless playthroughs.

Is it unfair to the team? Well, probably, but they'll live. Just think of it as a little challenge added to missions that long ago stopped providing any.

Funny thing, I have seen cannon escorts sitting at 10K firing at Borg cube and barely scratching its surface. And forget about the countless afkers ... A skittles boat might be a nice change of pace. It is not like some of us can't solo ESTF with optional *cough*scimitar*cough*

    This sounded like such a fun idea that I purchased an oberth lol. I'm going to take it into a random elite stf and watch the hate. I probably should feel guilty, but I've carried so many bad teams through stfs in the past that I honestly don't care. Here's my build;

    Weapons
(Fore): Romulan Plasma Beam Array MK XII [Acc]X2, Romulan Experimental Beam Array
(Aft): Romulan Plasma Beam Array MK XII [Acc]X2

    Equipment
    Deflector: Assimilated
    Impulse Engines: Assimilated
    Shields: M.A.C.O.
Core: Elite Fleet Reinforced Warp Core

    Consoles
Engineering: Fleet RCS Accelerator MK XII [ResAll]
Science: Zero Point, Romulan Emitter Array [-Th] [Pla]
    Tactical: Plasma Infuser MK XII

    Bridge Officers
    Tactical: Tactical Team 1
Engineering: Emergency Power to Shields 1
    Science: Hazard Emitters 1

It was actually really fun! Even fighting the spheres was a bit of a challenge & I had to watch where I was flying and such. Amazingly enough I wasn't the worst member of the team either haha.

    Pug1 8.7k
    Pug2 5.2k
    Pug3 4.9k
    Pug4 2.1k
Me in my Oberth 2.9k! lol

This isn't right. Nobody cares if you carried PUGs before, you're a burden to the whole team and you should not being doing that unless it is a private match. If I saw someone like you I would definetely report you. What I hate most is your ignorance for others....

And if the queue lets him join a STF in a Tier 1 ship, he has every right to be there and you have no business wasting some poor GM's time by reporting him.

Can you upload a screenshot of this thing? I wanna see how it looks with all that gear on, lol.

As to reporting him, why? I've also seen people with DPS in Pugs of less than 1K. I've also seen entire Pug group struggle against a couple spheres. Nanite spheres were kicking their TRIBBLE. I didn't report them for incompetence.

If this guy is able to OUT-DPS other ships in a TURRET OBERTH, that should mean he's more competent than average PUG groups, and you need to report the people who fly weaker ships than HIS for incompetence.

There isn't a ship in my inventory that can break 4K dps, but I manage to get along, no one has reported me for incompetence in PUG groups. And my builds aren't even entirely bad. I'm just not a great pilot.
