It's valid .
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

What is it with you kids and your pixel TRIBBLE. You know going out and meeting real girls is far healthier than drooling over your female toons ENORMOUS (unrealistic) breast's and scantily clad body, forming unreal expectations in your mind of what a women is/should be !
Frikin perverts the lot of ya :P
Season 9, Attack of the 50 foot woman with lasers in her frikin TRIBBLE !

It's evolution at work. Our kind will die out anyway, let us have our pixel fun before we're gone.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
LOL
You just made the best point of this conversation.
In Star Trek we never saw a battle armor.. even the warrior Klingon race use "opem" costumes (Lursa and Betor).

Regarding anyone's "immersion," your enjoyment is no more important than anyone else's enjoyment, and you need to content yourself with the "immersion" displayed by your own toons and any friends you can persuade to participate.

i just assume all the super-suits and physical deformities are tourists that have gotten lost, makes visiting ESD so much more bearable
wont be long before these people in the community start asking for more physics of the genders to specific areas, and very thin silk garments to the females. you know, where thats going.
to be honest its not sex online, its star trek, and most of the trek you see do not involve wearing next to nothing showing too much. leave it the way it is. last thing i want to read on ESD chat is some boy has his fed female toon, looking at it doing you know what under the desk. just, no!
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
Sorry, no. Trek was full of gratuitous PG-13 level skin from the very beginning. You may not approve of it, but it absolutely is Trek.
Exactly this. Has everyone forgotten about TOS, Kirk, 1st season of TNG miniskirts and enterprise with T'Pol and her vast collection of tight wear.

Wow, why are people requesting this? And why are people against this? What is the point of this argument... just make sure you can't see anything that would be bad for a 13 year old to see and I don't care.

Don't give them any ideas! :P
They already did something like that in Machete Kills with Sofia Vergara.
Some people are making it sound like you couldn't go almost a single episode of Trek without some woman wearing next to nothing...now I don't remember a whole lot of TOS from when I was young but I remember every series from TNG and beyond.
Sure there was a little skin now and then...but it wasn't very often, and sure you have 7 of 9 and T'Pol in their tight outfits but if anything it showed as little skin as any other uniform. Both of which can be purchased from the c-store if someone needs to get their fantasy love life on.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
All these excuses of it being in the show and that means it is "canon" are just bad attempts to garner support.
As opposed to what? Some moral crusade against the mind-warping trauma of exposed, pixelated skin? Please. This is a TREK game, and as such, the content of Trek shows carries more weight than any individuals repressed, puritanical hangups. This is not "Mennonite Commune Online," and we don't need an "excuse" for characters in a trek game to look like trek characters.

You didn't get it. Oh well I'm not going to link any examples. I'll get banned.
Why you would even look at that stuff I don't know.
That's not what I mean. Well it is. But it isn't. If I said "Janet Jackson in 2004" would you know what I mean? Or was that before your time?
And now, replies.
This raises my d'k'tagh. Qapla'.
I think it's silly how some people want to play all their games as humans-shaped animals, but you don't see me flatly denying you that chance.
Right there with you, brother.

Nobody is denying your chance for this type of clothing. Only the devs can, not other players.
Everything else is optional.
I can still move.
I can still fight.

Again, just a bad excuse.
