I love STO, and all the features it has so far- but how about adding some more 22nd Century Content? IE. - Stuff from Star Trek Enterprise?

The basic bundle is fun, but how about a higher level version of the NX-01? Similar to the other refits of low level ships.

Or, weapons/other uniforms/Gear from the time period? Similar to what is done in the Klingon Episodes, where you go back in time.

Just a fleeting wish :D

Im all for it to, but to my knowledge cbs vetoed it. So no refit version. Though the argument against the ship been T5 doesnt hold up when you see all the older ships ingame at T5.

If they will not have a T5 Miranda, and they have certainly said NO to the Connie, what on Earth (or in the Milky Way) makes you think they will give a T5 Akiraprise? If you like that design so much, fly the freaking Fleet Heavy Escort.

As for me, MAYBE one or two missions where they player goes back to that time to assist John Archer much like the missions to rescue Miral Paris from B'Vat, and the Devidian missions. I personnaly would rather they didn't, but one or two is tolerable.

I mean hell got a tier 5 Excelsior and refit, and Ambassador class. I think they could atleast slip in a tier 5 Exeter class.

Far as the miranda, no, just no. She's old, let here be.

The Excelsior-class was still in service in the The Next Generation era and a refit version was even the flagship of an Admiral (U.S.S. Lakota). The Connie was decomissionned 80 years before that so an NX class... Doesn't really make sense now does it? I love the Ford Model T but I would never drive one today: would have to replace the motor as today's fuel would not work, replace the wheels and tires, etc... By the time it was completely refitted it would cost 10 times what it's really worth and it could still only carry 4 people.

    Here we go again...

    Short answer: No
    Long answer: No
    Complicated answer: No
    Simple answer: No

Why? Read the 100000000000000000000000000000000 other threads on the subject.

No it wasn't... there was still at least one refit connie in service up untill Wolf 359
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Well based on a lock box suggestion else where. :D Why not have some more support from classic materials.
No I am not saying a T5 NX

But put in the phase pistols, and use the really old ship designs.
Your mission is to stop a krenim attack to prevent the birth of the federation.
Klingons wish to do this as much of thier own growth is associated with their interactions with the federation. And the RR would not exist with out both the Federation and the Klingon Empire existing.

I smell a featured episode or mini series.

Well explain the Exeter Class crusier then, or the Excalbur? Those are new build ships, not 80 year old ships.

T5 NX series? Eh, I'd rather see NX replicas as Fed Carrier frigates personally.

Regardless of the ships, I also wouldn't mind seeing a post ENT/Pre-TOS single time traveling episode, similar to the B'vat traveling into the past bit. I seem to recall the first war with the romulans was around that time... Some NXs duking it out with T1 T'varos perhaps?
It's not like we don't have appropriate ship assets for it now.

Doesn't matter. Navies create numerous types of ships for various roles. There is a lot of Tier 1 Patrol ships and a few Tier 5 Battleships and Nuclear Submarines. Navies never build just Battleships or Nuclear Submarines. Just like Starfleet would not just build Sovereigns. So the Exeter and Excalibur have a specific role, it is just not the same role that a Sovereign would have. Personally, most of the Fleet ships should not exist especially the Fleet ships that have a Tier 2 counterpart.

Sadly this gives me an idea I wish they implemented for STO at launch.

Tier 1. Your ship is based on career path.
    Miranda = Tactical
    Enterprise = Engineer
    Soyuz = science
After that I can only think cruiser progression so bear with me.
    Tier 2
    Excelsior
    Tier 3
    Ambassador
    Tier 4
    Galaxy
    Tier 5
The high end new stuff like the Oddesy
(I know I mispelled that again.)

I appologize if I jump around and seem disorganized. The order I responed to these is different than how I read them and copied them into the same post.

That was just extra wreckage that the FX department added to fill out the starship graveyard. It was suppose to be a generic ship to fill out the scene, and no way an indication of what ship it was. As it was "studio slag", it made for a cheap and easy stand-in for a real ship.

Except, the (Alka)Excelsior was NEW is Star Trek III: the Search for Spock. Arguably, she was still new when Sulu commander her in Star Trek VI: The Undescovered Country. The Ambassador was pre-TNG, Post TOS Movie era. You can't compair them to the Connie which is at least 50 years older than Excelsior. Disregard the Admiral comments in ST3. Kirk's Two five-years, Pike's at least one Five-year, Robert April's Five-year, the refits between each captain, and the time between the series and the Movies easily discredits his comments.

the miranda by the shi'kahr(or miriam class if they add it)
the constitution by the Exeter class

wouldnt mind seeing an exeter-ised version of the miranda class, just call it Mira

then a soyuz inspired ship, call it the sukhoi class.

I want to see those added as skin options for the Miranda. Hell, I would shell out zen for it! In addition, don't forget Sisko's Saratoga from "Emissary" (DS9).

Not a bad idea. I would certainly support adding the phase pistols much like the classic type 2 phaser (both the Past Imperfect and TOS bundle versions)

I am not a fan of ENT, but you would have my support for this. Also add in the Daedalus-class (USS Essex, USS Horizon, USS Acheron, USS Carolina, the Model on Sisko's desk). Don't forget the pre-warp Romulan ships photographed for the first edition Star Trek Chronology.

Also, I would begrudgily support having the NX ships as the Federation Frigate pet for Altrox carriers. If nothing else, it would make the T5 NX crowd shut up.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

I'd have to agree . It's ok to fly the old ship when your a lower level character, yet when you get to the higher levels, it wouldn't make sense for someone to go into space as an Admiral or even a Captain, and face off against a Borg ship or even a Klingon Bortasqu, with the old ship.

They do , seem to have a few ships which are similar to it though, in later levels, as has been mentioned.

Yet it is understandable , we all want what we want. No matter the views of others lol.

I wouldn't mind fifty whopper burgers and twenty chocolate easter bunnies for dinner, but it just ain't gonna happen , doesn't mean I can't dream though LOL.
