Not quite. The version rewarded by the FE will be the same version as in the Spire, but available to those new or didn't-get-a-chance-to-play characters in an eligible Fleet who were not around during the FE's special promotional run. This is similar to the Odyssey and Bortas that are available in T5 shipyards. There will be an "upgraded" version of the REDACTED available, but you'll have to wait for more details on that

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

    Repeated question:

Q: Will it be possible to beam to the Ground Adventure Zone and/or Space Adventure Zone from within our Fleet Spire Holding?

    ..........................

Q: Will [Redacted] have a unique bridge?

Q: When will the Vesta get it's own bridge? (Kumari-pack, Scimitar-pack and Odyssey/Bortas'qu-packs have their own, where's Vesta?)

I just have one question.. our 3000 zen ships are upgrades with all the Fleet holding and reputations items and sets.. but we dont have any place to use them and make it shine other that to lower the record of the same STFs over and over again. So, why we should grind this new items again?

Whoa, those sci and tac kits are killer! One of those not so common instances where community feedback directly appears as new game features. I know not many care for ground, but I do far more than space (staring at lifeless spaceships for too long bores me to tears), and I think they nailed it with the kits. Thank you! How I wish the rest of the holding was as exciting...

Sadly, they failed horribly yet again with the tac consoles, yet another round of featured cosmetic projects since Cryptic doesn't give a REDACTED about over a year's worth of overwhelming criticism about them, and, nice as they are, offering extra active doff slots (this will make it nigh impossible to ever balance pvp. Don't bother. Don't even try. PvP is too far gone now. Not even boot camps will work anymore). It's pay to win, folks, more than ever before. Ante up, or get in the corner with the little F2P kids.

Please add mk 10 and 11 to the tac consoles? A lot of smaller and medium fleets never get past tier 2 even on the Embassy thats been around for a year (especially KDF side), and not everyone wants to be a Public Service beggar for every last piece on their ship.

I have to agree with this one. granted the Embassy and dill mine was a step in the right direction it's becoming overwhelming for small fleets to keep up with everything. We should have some type of dynamic scaling for small, medium, and large fleets. The fleet I'm co running with friends is just getting past T2 in the main fleet projects and have not even hit T1 in embassy or mine.

Said it before ... I *DON'T* like the fact that we now have fleet ships gated OUTSIDE of the shipyards we have worked so hard to unlock.

Also ... It irritates me that small to medium size fleets are AGAIN getting the shaft.

Its been said time and again that most players are NOT in the larger fleets.

I get the feeling that someone in power over there does NOT want smaller fleets within this game ... nor solo players.

I say this as they are doing the best to force people to abandon the smaller ones and run to the mega fleets.

What they don't realize is that most who flee don't run to mega fleets but leave the game ... period. :(

Giving people the ability to get a 6th active DoFF slot for ground & space is going to **** things up so badly.

And the sad thing is they even know it.

But hey! It makes money so who cares, right?
No, it won't. There are still the equip limits per doff. This only lets you get ONE more. Not that big of a boost.

Also..where is Fleet Scimitar :( its supposed to have 52 dhc and 27 torps....no ship should be able to out-gun it

Question .. Will the +1 extra DOFF space / ground slots be automatically added to all fleet members when completed or is it something they buy for their toons?

Individual like the extra Doff assignment slots, the +1 Space and Ground Active Doff Slot is 150k Fleet Credits

them tac consoles are bad. ony useable on pure cannon boats or pure beam boats for example. any escort that runs 1 DBB for BO will have 1 or the other not benefiting from any tac consoles, and the fact that they do so much less damage enhancing makes them undesirable anyway. but they keep adding effects on crit, before long all that will mater is how often you get i win procs to go off, not how well you can fly your ship.

The only build I run that these consoles will truly benefit the most (my main toons PvE build is all cannons/turrets), will actually benefit it considerably. I am using 26.2s currently. So id lose a sliver off the base and gain 8% crit chance O_o

Thats scary actually. 8 percent more crit for a 5 tac console ship?

You buy them from the spire for your character. It does not unlock for the whole fleet once availible nor is it account wide.

I greatly dislike this new Fleet Holding.

First of all, the more Fleet holdings, the more work Small Fleets have to do to get caught up! My own Fleets just recently unlocked Tier 2 Dilithium Mine after all these months of hard grinding! And my Klingon fleet gave up since the Klingon Queues are dead!

Obviously, the talk about helping small fleets was a bunch of BS.

And the second thing, these new Tactical Consoles scream "more power creep"! Because even if you did reduce the weapon skill, stacking on critical damage has for greater repercussions. Just going to trivialize more existing content than ever before! Bad enough Elite STFs are already winable in under 4 minutes, thanks to the Devs promoting that parcer program. Can't even get any rewards when you are competing against these people in Fleet Actions, because you always end up with the bad reward.
Three tiers of Atmospheric Flight Training to help reduce the Atmospheric Friction found in the Dyson Sphere?s Space Adventure Zone. (Purchased through vendor for small amount of Fleet Credits)

And WTF is this? We have to buy ways to reduce friction? So that means fleet-less people or Fleets that yet to unlock this are punished. Again, rewarding people in Large Fleets.

I'll tell you, it's getting harder and harder to support this game when it's just rewarding those rich boys with their toys.

    It's most likely the Preservers.

We are most likely getting a Preserver Carrier in the Featured Episode this weekend and this is most likely the Fleet Preserver Obelisk-class Carrier.

Most likely the Preservers are the ones who gave the Voth their tech and relocated them to the Delta Quadrant. The Preservers also created the Dyson Spheres around, most likely.

And the Voth probably want to conceal that they're from earth by taking control of the Dyson Sphere (and purging records that contradict their beliefs) while the Iconians probably have Elachi agents on hand trying to loot Preserver tech.

Ya know the more I read this, the more I wonder if the Spire is worth bothering with at all if your fleet isn't big enough to make T3 on it? Kar'fi, Atrox, and Ar'kif are T3, the Mk12 consoles are T3 (and there aren't lower marks available), you just know the Space DOFF slot requires T3, Elite Cores are T3 (and Advanced ones aren't better enough than storebought to be worth the expense). Only non T3 thing of interest I see are the Mk11 ground kits and if you have a lot of lifers in your fleet. (And frankly the ships ought to be in the shipyard anyways). Anyone else getting the 'well heck why even bother' with this holding? Given the lack of worthwhile rewards along the way, seems very all-or-nothing.

Are the Romulans ever going to get a 2 hangar carrier like the Feds and Klingons have?
(a C-store version not lobi or lockbox)

Or are the Romulans considered too powerful that they won't get 2 hangars?

After having just rewatched the Xindi arc from Star Trek Enterprise....i wonder if maybe the Sphere Builders might be the creators of the Solanae Dyson Sphere...it fits their MO

    - massive sphere with an unknown purpose, it's creators mysteriously absent

    - it stores [REDACTED], possibly as a power souce?

    - it has hostile defense systems (or hostile since the Voth took them over)

be interesting to see if we get a glimpse into who built the sphere and why, i'd like to see if i'm correct in my hypothesis

    ....but back on topic

i'm disappointed that Cryptic is shafting those of us in small fleets by adding another fleet holding, my KDF fleet is just now getting to Tier 1 in the dil mine, already has tier 1 in our embassy, and we'll be tier 2 on our starbase soon, it's getting harder and harder to keep up with all the TRIBBLE Cryptic is throwing at us.

Cryptic needs to first reduce (by at least a 1/4th) the costs for these fleet projects for small fleets, i mean these are fleets with maybe 8 to 10 active people, many times a lot less. It will take my fleet many orders of magnitude longer to complete projects than even a fleet with 20 to 30 active members, let alone the mega fleets.

but i really doubt Cryptic will address these issues, it seems that they either don't care, or don't understand, that small fleets struggle with trying to unlock and complete these fleet holdings.

Well originally the statement was the feds would never get one. You just have to get enough people to whine and then you will see a romulan 2 hangar carrier.

No way. While it is supposed to be the time when they're making an appearance, the Sphere Builders would never be able to survive in this universe long enough to build a Freakin Dyson Shell. Their spheres had a specific purpose, to warp our space to fit their space time continuum. These Dyson's Spheres are clearly some species deciding they needed enough space for their civilization until the end of time (something like 550 million times the area of Earth, into the quadrillions...easily greater than the current population of the Federation).

What if it was constructed by the First Humanoids, they successfully explored the whole galaxy. With every ancient solar system at their disposal finding materials to construct such a sphere would've been simple, grab any solar system(s) you want. Place one in all four corners of the galaxy and you'd have quite significant bases for your civilization. A Dyson's (or Stapledon's) Sphere if built would have to be built to last the ages, so it lasting the billions of years isn't implausible. Especially considering that the Jenolan Dyson's Sphere was made of freaking Carbon Neutronium (Does that mean they broke down a Neutron Star....impressive), lasting the life of a star isn't really farfetched.

Yeah, it's pretty brutal on small fleets to get all of these things done. I'll be happy if I can get tier three on the starbase and tier 1 on both the embassy and mine. My Embassy would be there if not for the 360k dilithium cost. :( It's a long road. I have to admit Fleet Mergers would be nice.
