they where in stasis on that planet. who knows what they could have done before that
If they've been in stasis that long, they're probably pretty grumpy....

One day Cryptic will be free from their Perfect World overlord. Until that day comes, they will continue to pamper the whales of this game, and ignore everyone that isn't a whale.
is there any pic of this the Obelisk ship I really want to see what it looks like been trying to find it on google with no luck
There is a hologram in the Dyson Joint Command Center which shows the other upcoming fleet ships and one unknown ship which is probably the Obelisk.
I hesitate to post a screenshot, since I took this with my laptop rather than my good computer and it's hard enough to get a sense of the ship's shape even in a good screenshot, but....

I'm kinda surprised, normally with a new ship by now you would of seen pictures of it...but unless they're extremely tight lipped and waiting for the players to get it to find out...we'll see tomorrow.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
By George, er, Q, I do believe you are right. I can't believe I didn't put it together myself.
That lattice work in the picture resembles the lattice work connecting the sections in the hologram of the unknown ship in the Allied Command instance. And that glowing bulbuous bit at the end is in the same place as a sphere on the bow of the hologram. Now that I think about, I'm certain that screenshot is the bow of the Obelisk carrier.
well come tomorrow we shall get pics and stats i just wanna know if we can use different hanger pets cause that be cool.
I would imagine that like most other full carriers in the game, it'll have unique pets that only it can equip, as well as being able to field many other different kinds of small craft.
Idran Swarmers are insectoid cosmozoans encountered in the Idran system.
Obelisk Swarmers are an automated light attack craft encountered in the Dyson Sphere.
They are both called swarmers because they both tend to attack in large groups, not because they are the same thing.
Though the connection might explain why some of them show up as Iconian faction and some show up as Cosmozoan faction.

Where did you get that Idran Swarmers were insectoid? They look more mechanical to me. Also, they are in a system with mined out asteroids, maybe the Swarmers aren't natural but are automated drones designed serve some other sort of purpose?
The mission states they are living. The term cosmozoan specifically refers to a life form that lives in space. They have jointed claws and are apparently capable of grasping objects (the Idran Hauler appears to be a Swarmer pulling a cargo container). They fire energy beams, but most of the other large cosmozoans in STO as well as canon have some type of projected energy attack (the jellyfish from Encounter at Farpoint, the Crystalline Entity, the Gelki, Tin Man).

That's weird, considering we've seen Swarmers before.
This is my best guess so far:
