This is actually covered in one of the Star Trek novels. Right when the Tkon were going to replace their dying star with a better one, the main villain of the book decided to destroy their star because he doesn't like losing.
I read that. I hated the concept of 0, and I'm glad that book will never be canon....

Yeah, I found him to be a really pathetic version of Q. The only good thing about that book IMO is how Q became the Q that we know.

That looks remarkably similar to the Sophon ships in Endless Space

I am willing to bet that its drones are Idran Swarmers, and the Idran Swarmers are actually building something. If you remember the system they were found in had a broken up planet that had been heavily mined.

I bet the Idran Swarmers did this to get resources to build something, possibly the Obelisk carrier.

    ;)
So the Galaxy would be trapped between the Perservers and the Iconians.
    And the System Lords.
Necrons will be the next half-faction.
Actually, it'll be the Tau (with Season 8). Don't them Dinos remind you of the Kroot? ;)

They do kinda look like krootox or Greater Knarlocs, actually...

I wouldn't judge it just yet, its very hard to get a realistic view of a 3D model from a semitransparent monochrome mesh.

Agreed. I kinda like the overall shape of it. I just hope the 3d model is just as good, looking sleek, noble, and deadly. I've been longing for a good non-Starfleet warship that didn't have an iconic look tying it to a well-known species already.

Well, I don't know about Heavy Bolters and Power Fists, but to combat Dinosaurs with Laser Beams we should at least hope for some Predator Tanks, a Dreadnought or a Land Raider. ;)

Yeah. Don't judge it by the initial lools. I studied the model for a bit of time as it rotated. It's actually a lot more alien and graceful looking then it first appears. The upper and lower sections of the ship aren't single unite. That are side by side paired units. They are interconnection with the lattice work in the middle. From the side is looks like a sleek, stylized T-Rex skull.

Are you sure that's not exactly what it is a stylized t-rex skull and not a ship?

Well since it's on a console showing all of the new Spire Holding Fleet Ships (carriers and veteran ships). It not that much of a leap.

The problem is the Iconians were an empire more comparable to the Tkon Empire than the Preservers/Ancient Humanoids, who seeded all humanoid life in our galaxy, and probably beyond.

Now, if it were discovered that it was the Iconians who, like the present situation the Romulans face, were responsible for the destruction of the Tkon home star, then I'd be more excited; especially since we still have a means to contact and get help from the last of the Tkon, whom I'm sure would want payback.

The Preservers are like the Ancients from stargate and the Iconians are like the Wraith lol

Now if only we had info like what tier the ship will be? I honestly dont want another ambassador sitting collecting dust in the closet because a captain lvl ship is pretty useless at 50. (Of course I dont expect it to have 10 consoles and be on fleet lvl, or come with a unique console and be on par with a Z ship, but at least be on par with lvl 40 ships)

Weren't the space-creature things in the 2800 series called Swarmers? Possibly getting an 'organic ship'?

Yes they were, however, the swarmers do not appear to be organic.

The holo image in the Dyson command centre resembles the Iconian_Dreadnought and the Swarmers have Iconian icons

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.
