Not a lot as it's not even with your SWToR character's Class ship; the 'new' off-rails PvP is just a 12vs12 minigame. They're not expanding it to the existing 'on rails' space missions or any other space-based PvE content. As usual, it's another SWToR 'band aid' to try anfd get players to return.
I doubt it'll have much effect on STO or any other MMO as SWToR's F2P model is still the most 'nickle and dime' Fw2P model in any Western-based MMO. I myself was considering giving it a shot until I actually read exactly what it entailed and affected. hell, it's still all third person view too (IE you can't get a view from the cockpit of whatever fighter you're flying.
If this is the result of their 'Super Secret Space Project' they've been touting since just after SWtoR's initial full public release nearly two years ago; color me unimpressed.
that's what I thought you'd say. I've not heard a lot of good things about that game. My first thought when hearing they had space battles was "How badly do they suck?"

if every one listen to what someone said to what some one said about a game with out trying it first only blockbuster games would be played and this mmo be a dead zone
And I've seen 100 posts around the net saying the same about this game. Value of the opinions are still not even worth 1 cent. You just help prove that point. Thanks.

Looking for a new fleet? Drop by the in-game chat channel, "tenforwardforum", and say hi to the members of A Fleet Called Ten Forward (Fed) and The Orion Pirates (KDF). If you already have a fleet you are happy with, please feel free to drop by our chat channel if you are looking for a friendly bunch of helpful people to socialize with.
I'm sure peeps will show up with the "I'm not on Facebook" thing. So for each one that does that, add 1 to STO. IE first one who does it, the number goes to 189,001... second then 189002... etc. Let the peeps here make up that 2.1 million they need to catch up.

This will not hurt STO at all. There is another space MMO game out there that concentrates entirely on ships. It's called Battlestar Galactica Online. There, it is pretty much a wallet warrior game cause if you don't, you are dead. TOR bringing a 12v12 minigame where you can customize (pay us money to make you ships stronger) will not register an impact at all.

Honestly, that statement has not been true with SW:TOR. Most of the things you can buy beyond maybe the weapon crystals that come out of their RNG Grab boxes is not really a P2W set up. So I do not forsee anything beyond maybe appearances being P2W. (Though I will give you that the space PVE weapons and gear you can buy from the Cartel Market)
You think that your beta test was bad?

I've played BSGO. I haven't in a long time though. But yes, there are other space MMO's out there. EVE too.
I don't play TOR for the space really. Space was always filler there with me. And the SSSP being a PvP space thing does irk me a bit when the PvE will still be filler. Same level of nice filler I get when I power up my MAME arcade cabinet and play a game from the 80's called Gyruss that is also on rails. I am not saying TOR is perfect. Far from it. But it's a case of seeing stuff on STO's forums when STO has it's own flaws that are as big as a Grand Canyon but the posters act as if this is the greatest thing ever made.
Like the ships weapons and systems are apparently gotten weaker in the game from TNG time. 10k limit. Yes that's a nitpick but it's still goes so much against the lore it's laughable Cryptic didn't see that.
People say the part about not being able to do space there like they did in TIE Fighter. Well... we can't do space here like Bridge Commander. So it's throwing stones while living in a glass house syndrome.

Those on the market can also be earned in game too. I didn't bother though after the first set and the maps they are recommended for are still on rails. I hated the times of crashing into something because of the rail limitation on those maps TBH.

And the company belly up before the game was made because of Champions word of mouth.
Take an opinion and a dime to Starbucks and you can't even buy a cup of coffee with it. Shows how truly valuable opinions are.
