No chance of Vengeance. JJTrek is off limits because the rights are owned by a different company. The ship's stupid anyway, a 1.5km ship on the 2270's? (the 700m+ Enterprise is ridiculous enough as it is)
I don't think we'll get that ship, as cryptic/cbs doesn't have the rights to any of those movies. Besides, that ship is ugly and Robo Cop is the captain...
We might, however, get a look alike like just like how we got the the Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer from the Narada.

Robo Cop is awesome ... "dead or alive you are coming with me"
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
It may be that the new rom escort, dispite having a hangar added didnt sell good enough so they speed up the timeline to make at least some money of the fleet version.
Hope the new cruiser is not just some useless junk cruiser. It must bring something to the table the fleet assault does not otherwise why bother.
Not much doubt what it will be in my mind - a 5/3 cannon-ready cruiser with a single carrier slot. Probably turn rate 8-10, 42k hull, 4/2/3 (4/2/4 fleet) and BOFFs similar to the Excelsior.
I would start a pool, but I don't think the mods would allow it.
seeing as the JJprise is only a bit bigger then the prime connie, the vengeance would be about the size of an ambassador class. still quite absurd for the 2250s, but its sort of an insane 1 off by one of the craziest cartoon evil admirals yet. hopefully it never inspires anything in STO, holes in the saucer are so stupid.
This image: http://oi41.tinypic.com/20p4twx.jpg :is kind of funny, showing the scale of it compared to other ships. Through some twist of fate, were it ever put in the game...could you imagine the complaints about its turn?
Just for sake of argument... why is 1500m crazy in any time frame once they start using transporters replicators and space docks.
It seems to me if you can build a 700m ship in space... you can build a 1500m ship in space. I mean its not like they knocked one 700m ship out and said ok where out of raw material now no more ships. lol
Instead of turning out 20 700m ships they could turn out 2 3000m ships... what would be stopping them exactly ?
Not that I think bigger would be more powerful anyway, so the entire concept is silly.

i refuse to subscribe to the insane notion that the jjprise is 700 meters long. thankfully its exterior features all but prove its in the 300 meeter range

Heh, it's kind of funny. Cause some folks latched on to stats released by ILM putting it at 735m - but other stats showed that it had been scaled for that 735m and it was actually designed at 366m.
edit: So you'd be looking at the USS Vengeance somewhere in size between a Star Cruiser and a Negh'Var...but it's kind of fun to picture it being over 200m longer than a Vo'Quv.

JJ himself admitted that it was originally supposed to be 300 but the effects departments hosed up the shuttle bays and the final size ended up being 700. It was cheaper to say the later than to re-do the effects, so we get stuck with the 700m figure (and apparently some super-big-TRIBBLE windows).

its easier to write off the shuttlebay scene then every single other exterior detail

Because there's little point to a ship being that huge, other than wang waving. To be honest I found the Galaxy class ships to be far too big, but then it was more of a luxury liner with a needlessly inefficient bridge and lots of space used for families and larger quarters.
Like I said on another thread, they want to replicate the financial success the Scimitar was,...
You took the words right out of my mouth. That's exactly what I thought when I see the screeshot picture.
One day Cryptic will be free from their Perfect World overlord. Until that day comes, they will continue to pamper the whales of this game, and ignore everyone that isn't a whale.
we do i have a feeling battlecruiser means andorian battle cruiser. no actual fed ship ever goes by that name, but an andorian ship has. but, what business does it have with a cloak?
Fleet Galaxy-X with 5 Tactical consoles, Lt.Commander Tactical station and built in battle cloak with new shiny warp core special ability of Iwin console that gives the lance 100% accuracy and 100% Shield Penetration.
Then I woke up...
that is a nightmare, a galaxy x where i didn't have to put a fight:rolleyes:
on an other note, no the jj is not 700 meters, just like the jj connie is not as big as a sovereign.
anyway, isn't this ship supposed to be free? is it the one that we will get for doing the new content that come?
in that case don't expect too much of it.
No, the free ship is an Alien Carrier, not a Federation Battle Cruiser.
And
In starship classification, the term battle cruiser was sometimes used synonymously with heavy cruiser. The Klingons (ST3:Search for Spock) once referred to the Federation Constitution-class USS Enterprise as a battle cruiser.
More RMG about the new ship being a T5 Constitution, GO!!

The Klingons were trying discredit Kirk and say he went out to kill Klingons in his battle cruiser. It was just propaganda. They do it again in ST4:Voyage Home.
Its most likely the federation NPC Typhoon ship, that is classed as a battlecruiser. The one with 4 nacelles.
They've stated repeatedly that it wouldn't happen because it's a very poor quality model that was thrown together...people have still asked repeatedly for it, saying they could just touch it up.
Are there any other awesome ships that are being worked on right now that you can tell us about? Or maybe the sort of ?if we told you we?d have to kill you? sort of things? (Please, no killing)
We?ll keep the settings on stun and talk about the exclusive new alien ship that we are working on as a special reward for completing the new Feature Episode releasing in September.
This ancient, full-Carrier vessel uses subspace technology and was created by an alien race that may be related to the Iconians. As captains venture into the new feature episode, they?ll learn more about where this ship comes and get a chance to captain it in combat.

Actually in one of the interviews I believe Gecko alluded that the ship might appear at some point, just not with that model (which Cryptic has admitted is an awful kitbash).
So we might see "a typhoon" class, just one that looks different.

It's a fun discussion...near the bottom of this page: http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/articles/new_enterprise_comment.htm#size :they talk about it.

As for the JJprise, I'm going with the 300metres.
