Laggy Login Launcher

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but ever since my launcher was automatically updated this week, it has become extremely laggy.
I First, when my launcher loads, it remembers my username, but it takes a relatively long time to load my username. Then, when I enter my password and click login, it sometimes takes 2 - 3 minutes to register before actually logging me in. If a click on the launcher during this lag time, it'll tell me that the program is not responding and sometimes crash. I don't get it, my launcher used to be lightning quick!?!?
