Excruciating lag for DS9!

Hello, people...
May I ask WHY is my Deep Space 9 system SUCH a **** when loading it?!!! :mad:
I mean, I know, I understand, I have a ***** laptop, with a lagging graphic card, BUT... to get STUCK at 97 - 98% for over... 1 1/2 HOURS!?!!!! C'mon!!!!
And YES, I'm trying to get to DS9 with my Fed character for... I don't know, for catching-up with our Special Crystalline Event party / team?
Of course, right NOW, I'm seriously contemplating the idea of DROPPING my Fed character and switch to my KDF one. The RRW one isn't yet at 50. 
Laptop specs:
Processor: Intel Celeron @ 2.3 GHz
Video Card: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family on 32 bits/PX, @ 60 Hz refresh rate and 90 dpi
Physical Memory: 2 GB- totally

So,... WHY wouldn't I too be able to benefit from a nice gaming experience with THESE settings? Why? Why this terrible, (Special) Event-related lag?! Can't Cryptic do anything about their servers?!
