The Fed/KDF thing has sparked up again, necros and trolls are taking over GD and all those dead horse arguments have been given a new T6 flavoured lease of life. Meanwhile threads are getting locked left, right and centre and their practices constantly being called into question regardless of the rules!
Madness I tell you, since the DR announcement this place has fallen into disarray!
its the troll pit pwe uses to smother people who have been trying to get something fixed or resolved, u guys help them ignore you more...its not a doom, its just funny that you guys willingly step on your own nuts for the companys pleasure :rolleyes: nothing anyone can say could ever do more to damage you then u already have done to yourselves by playing along XD

This is where we put the "the game is about to die" people, and mock them mercilessly, as they've been singing the Doom Song for about four years or so now. (Five over at CO - someone recently tracked down the oldest Doom Thread they could find in the CO forums; it started one week after the game went live.)
If you have a valid complaint or suggestion, by all means make it, in the appropriate subforum. I'm sure we'd all love to hear your input. But if your only input is "the game is dying," then we're going to make fun of you, because that's blatantly wrong.

im sorry jonsills, but, it is no longer mocking just the people are are spelling the end of cryptic or the game, but anyone who has any kind of a negative opinion of the game...
and cat is right, a lot of times you guys cry doom on someone who has an idea that would fundamentally improve the game, or calling doom on people calling cryptic out for not fixing problems that have been ingame since launch.. its like some of the doomers are saying its ok that the game is mediocre at best (compared to most other mmo's), that they can just keep playing the subpar game and everything will be ok..

No, we're mocking the ones who say that if their own idea, no matter how peculiar, isn't instituted at once, STO will be DOOOOMED to ignominious failure, because whatever hobbyhorse they're riding is the One True Issue that's "driving people away".

To have a TOS Connie, even at T1, required that you either preorder from Gamestop back in the day, or that you purchase the (IIRC) $25/2500 Zen TOS bundle. It becomes "obsolete" in a handful of hours, when you make LtCdr. Yet that doesn't seem to have "doomed" anything...)
The new crafting system means the game is DOOOMED!! (Except that so few of us actually used the old system, because it was so time-and resource-intensive. Now I can level crafting skills overnight, while I'm away from my toons - haven't even been half trying, and I have several toons with a couple of schools to level 6 already. One of these days, I have to send LtCdr Asad the Mk IV antiproton turret with bonuses that I crafted...)
Losing the Exploration Clusters means the game is DOOOMED!! (Except that a lot of players never went into the silly things, because there didn't seem to be any real reason to do so. At the levels where the XP might have come in handy, missions come thick and fast, one after another; you even have two trees to climb, PvP and story missions. And soon, Drake offers you the Traelus side mission, which might lead to other things, but I don't know because I've never done it.)
Note that none of these are in the format of, "Hey, I've got an idea! And it might make the game better!" They are presented in the format of, "This MUST be done IMMEDIATELY, or the game will DIE, and it's probably not going to happen because the devs HATE the game!"

A fleet of trolls? Far from it, my good friend. No other fleet in STO is as charitable as the Dental-associated fleets. Dispensing billions of ec worth of gear, hosting periodic giveaways open to the public, reporting bugs and errors to the Devs for correction, and breaking through the barrier of the "pay to access" system of SB/Mine/Emb/Spire item acquisition. We've done a lot for the players of this game, we just don't hide behind the fictional canon or protocol of a fictional space soap opera in a fictional game.
Despite dental's reputation as trollish, you and they do deserve credit for offering free access your tier 5 base and it's elite pets and weapons. Thanks to nerds of prey, I got my yellowstones for my vesta and my elite bops for my vo'quv. Which other greedy fleet offered services like that? Yeah, none did before nerds and dental set the trend.
I think it's important to note that both House of Snoo and Reddit Alert were also in on this from the very beginning, and deserve just as much credit.
So 4 were doing it and the rest were greedy ferengi? People have to understand that a lot of people from smaller fleets would have already quit the game if these fleets hadn't offer some relief from the horrible grind. I was one of those people. Eventually, I did give up and join a mega fleet but at the time, I didn't want to and nerds accommodated my needs without asking for anything in return.

look at the quote in his sig.. tells the whole story there.. kinda confused as to why a moderator has not told him to remove it yet.. but it shows you what your dealing with when you read what he has to post..
