Hard time logging in, Characters not appearing

Hi, been having a hard time getting the launcher to even patch or enable the engage button
if it does start the game the characters don't appear. Sometimes one character will appear and when i enter the game the loading screen either doesnt appear or just stops at 94-95% and just disconnects. My internet is fine though. But when I try to connect to STO its like im not even sending or receiving any data at all when I observe my net meter.
