How about non combat consoles to allow such things as:
* (Tuffli) transwarps to be retrofitted to other ships.
* Cargo hold upgrades to give us access to specials such as the specialist commodity broker
Some of us do play to not blow stuff up so 'fluff' consoles are good too.
I'd love this, but since its not combat, it won't sell, or at least Cryptic thinks that.
I also agree with the probe/remote sci ability ideas, that would be cool. Or on the flip side, have a console that allows you to launch a probe in sector space or in an exploration region that allows you access to a dilithium mining field or something like, where you could invite people to it. Kinda a "I just discovered something cool, come share it with me," thing.
Maybe some Son'a ships/consoles. Like the subspace weapons?
Not really a console, but the ability to change weapon colors, if supported by movies/TV.
EDIT: Ohh, like the guy above me said, holographic console to make your ship look like another ship, like the Romulan drone ships have now. And if you could get the Incursion ship hull from Activation, that would be awesome.
Passive - Grants a small flat bonus to Aux, Shields, and Engines power levels (equivalent to just under the power boost offered by any of the single power boosting consoles)
Activated - Krieger Wave Burst - Target suffers brief, rapid, potent DoT (5 sec) and a longer kinetic damage debuff (30 sec). 2 minute cooldown. While on cooldown, the power bonus to Axu/Shield/Engines disappears.
Pulse Compression Wave Console: Runs a pulse compression wave through the beam-bank releasing one or two lance style 'shotgun' blasts from the beam array(s).
Or, to quote Miles O'Brien from the DS9 first episode 'Emissary' (where this technique was utilised) - "it'll put out a blast that'll make them think twice".
I'd suggested the Pulse Compression Wave as a BO skill in the past, but it probably works better as a console.
I'd actually like to see consoles that gives a passive bonus/enhancement to existing BO/Captain abilities; for example a Beta-tachyon Antiproton console, would increase the damage resistance of your shields whenever an EPtS (possibly Transfer Shield Strength and Rotate Shield Frequency as well) ability was used.
The Pulse Compression Wave console could work in the same way, essentially turning Beam Overload into the different beam skill mentioned above.

Nice!
The sticking point is the cooldown IMO.
If it has a hard cooldown as most consoles have, lets say 1:30 min, the BO console is almost worthless. It has to have some variable that makes it faster.
The most important thing for me is that it is a Cruiser only Console, getting stronger, the bigger the ship is.
"...'With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured...the first thought forbidden...the first freedom denied--chains us all irrevocably.' ... The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we're all damaged. I fear that today--"
- (TNG) Picard, quoting Judge Aaron Satie
Honestly, the only console I want to see is one that when equipped, passively makes all devs use the forums and Web site to contact players rather than Twitter.
Targets a single enemy with a devastating subspace weapon.
Upon activation, this console creates a subspace tear that will follow behind the target vessel for 15 seconds and causes damage over time to any vessels within 5km.
Damage increases based on target enemy vessel's current engine power level.
Reduces incoming Kinetic damage based on current shield power for 10 seconds. Deflects 25% kinetic damage received to other nearby enemy ships for 10 seconds in the form of energized shrapnel.
Inspired by the 'concentrated pattern' idea that Picard had in Nemesis (I think) where he suggests the idea.
Basically a beam variant of cannon scatter volley. FAW style beams within a cone of fire either from the front of the ship or perhaps either broadside (depending on who's targeted and the position of your ship). Since the beams are concentrated a minor boost to attack power, damage or shield penetration could be added too.
Put console in slot.
Get a Doff Assignment tab called Ship mission console.
In tab there are a list of assignment, each assignment configures the console to do a different function.
Assign Doffs
Disaster - Console unusable, must complete repair assignment to use.
Failure - assignment failed, must redo assignment.
Success - console now does X.
Critical Success - console now does X + Y or X + longer, ect.
Some assignments only take a short time to complete while others take a long time to complete.
Some console configuration last until you reconfigure it while others will only last for X time or X discharges.
When you first get console there are only a few assignments but you can learn more though Doff assignments, mission, and rep. Once you know a assignment it will always be in the tab.
You should get the console in a episode where its needed for the mission.
As for the assignment configurations I leave that to you.
A click power that does what Tactical, Engineering and Science Team II does all in one; so...
- Distributes shields to facings receiving damage
- Moderate hull repair
- Moderate shield repair
- Repairs disabled systems
- removes all tactical, engineering and science debuffs
Also,
- Restores 50% of crew instantly and buffs crew resistance for 45 secs
Battle Onslaught - "All Hands, give it all she's got"
- Enhanced Beam Fire at Will with 50% shield penetration for 15 secs (fires your currently equipped beams)
- Immunity to system disables, holds and placates for 15 secs
- +100% to speed and turn rate for 10 secs
- +25 Power to each subsystem and to each team member for 10 secs
My thinking is the old trek favourite of being in battle struggling for victory and the Captain makes some passionate speech and the crew turn the tide in their favour and win the day.
Assault Boarding Party
- Instead of Boarding Party Shuttles, you beam holographic drones onto an enemy ship.
- Because they are holographic drones they are more resistance to Tactical and Engineering team, so this power cannot be cleared for a minimum of 5secs or higher depending on skills.
Space Fortress
The ship deploys four static platforms 5kms away one at each corner (N, E, W, S) for 90secs
- Each Platform moderately heals shields and hull of friendly ships within 5 km of each Platform, if you move to the centre or between two or more of the platforms the more healing you get.
- Each Platform is equipped with a quantum torpedo turret, heavy phaser beam, point defence system and have regenerative shields.
My thoughts behind this power is with the Oddy being so big and a flagship it enters a battle and supports fellow players whilst offering substantial defence. So your ship and players can return to the "Fortress" for repairs and defence and hopefully deterring enemies coming after you otherwise they are bombarded by the turrets etc.
Guardian Platforms
Same a above but you launch one at a location and will stay there, you can deploy a maximum of 4 and they have no time limit. So are "Super" platforms and should deter enemies going near them or run the risk of heavy damage.
Both ideas above should have a penalites to try and destroy them like the Aceton Generators otherwise they would be worthless if could be destroyed with one or two shots. I think all platforms come with Feedback Pulse III Tacyon Beam III and have super strong shielding.
This console changes your weapon type based on the enemy Resistances.
For example, if you shoot an enemy with an activate Phaser resistance Buff (Elite fleet shields, or AEGIS Shields for example) your energy weapon damage type will nullify that effect as your energy weapons modulate their frequency to by pass the enemy resistance. Lasts 15 Seconds. Recharge 4 minutes. (See Best of Both Worlds for the Inspiration)
"Data, keep changing the frequencies, random settings. Don't give them time to adapt!"
You think that your beta test was bad?
Think about this: American Football has been in open beta for 144 years. ~Kotaku
I'd have to say a better version of the deflector attack used at the end of Best of both worlds pt1
( yes i know it sorta kinda exists on the 3 piece m.a.c.o set , but this lasts nowhere near like the one on the show )
I'd imagine it looking similar to the vesta's phaser deflector attack , but a much thicker beam , maybe doing exotic damage etc
Since Geko is working hard to "fix" pvp I think these consoles are a must have:
[God Mode] - gives the owner invincibility and infinite damage.
[I win universal console] - when you enter the map you auto win by default whatever your goal was.If two people in your team have it both win
[Remove PvP Queue] - removes for 1 year the pvp queue
You forgot one
obtain ship console- each time you use it, you get a free ship of your choice from any available ship in the game, equipped with Purple MK XII items of your choice.

these are the same people who QQ about p2w .
the only thing I dont get is why they keep calling sto a mmo.Its a coop game. You kill npcs in a team in left for dead...that is a coop game but way cheaper than sto because there you dont pay 50 euros for some God mode console.
I would second the earlier post for a console that would enhance a ship's turn rate.
I would also offer a suggestion for a console that I personally would like to see. One that would enhance beam weapons, while reducing power drain to weapons subsystems.
Some sort of beam weapon enhancing console would make me very happy.
Maybe a beam weapon console that would make one beam emitter 360 degree capable for a specified amount of time.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles
Eject and Detonate Antimatter storage Pods
Fire All Weapons (Beams / Cannons and Torpiedos)
Holographic Console (Disguises ship as the same type of ship as target)
Transport Raiding Party (Steal supplies from target)
Obtain Computer Control (Ship Target and attacks Same faction ships like what happens in the Ground stf when players get effected by Ninites)
