    lol, lmfao....

everyone that posts in these maintenance sections are wasting their time.

they never actually action anything that is discussed, FACT.

if they did this game would be bug free, FACT.

they design something like someone else pointed out earlier in the posts, never test it at all, and roll it off the production line leaking like anything at only 50%, then it is left in the game for players to report how TRIBBLE that update was. FACT.

there are way to many bugs in this game that already exist FACT.
time for cryptic to STOP what your doing with the new content because it will be full of bugs, and you know it. FACT.

fix the problems that have existed for some time now, THEN and only then continuw with the new content.

so please cryptic read our posts and listen to the people who actually pay your wages.

On another note, we as the customers are our own worst enemies because we keep investing real hard earned money into this game, and as long as money is rolling through the door they will simply ignore what a selected few are typing in the forums and contiune to ignore the existing problems in the game.

so to summerise, we need to take control of our beloved game and STOP investing until they sort out the current problems, FACT.

    or this game will die....

WAKE UP PEOPLE c'mon, join the revolution and save OUR game.

sorry to ramble on but someone had to say it.

100% false good sir if they took time to fix even the most minor bugs like you are saying

which is impossible for a game this complex then people would leave for lack of content,

furthermore we invest because this game is awesome most of the bugs i have seen are

relatively minor and not severe enough to warrant immediate fixing and fixable when time

is available, also they do listen you may be just

posting in the wrong area of the forums i remember there is a bug forum you can post in

that may get your woes answered

it's not TRIBBLE as you put it, we need to do something...they can't keep doing this to us.

It is TRIBBLE. Stating that no money will make them fix things is totally wrong. As I said, all it will do is close the game down as Cryptic will write it off as a loss. It will NOT encourage them to fix anything. After all, why fix something on a game that is making no money? Write in to the company, address your complaints to them in a mature, civil manner. You will likely find it gets a lot more done then yelling at them, swearing at them, and making threats idle or otherwise.

    @graynight:

It is tied to when they are awake and at work to do the task.
The last thing we want is their technicians to fight their natural sleep schedule and be groggy while working on the game.

No matter what time is chosen, as this is a global game on a single server, someone will be affected.

I 'm impressed with these patch notes.
Great Game. I'm a noob of 3 months playing.
I have to reboot game after every starbase fleet defense because of sound issues.. and If I run that mission twice, omg.. those two announcer are annoying, sounds like they are arguying back and forth .. maybe add a tiny little code to end audio when you leave the quest..
    much appreciate it...
what better place to mention it.. at least I know they read this part of the forums. ;)

If money stops rolling in the game WILL close down for good, FACT.

People really need to start thinking before they post TRIBBLE like this. Stopping the flow of money to the company will NOT fix the issues, nor will swearing at them or ranting like maniacs.

If people had any common sense at all they would not pay for something that is faulty....but people do anyways FACT!!

Even if there was an influx of revenue to the game does not mean cryptic would spend a dime to fix anymore then what a cheap bandaid can do FACT!!

Cryptic has shown they are more concerned in the bottom dollar then actually fixing ingame issues and bugs FACT!!

So in the end it does not matter whether players spend money or not things will continue AS IS with no real fixes in sight or for the foreseeable future yet another FACT!!

and yeah i agree swearing and rants dont do anything ...except make for good entertainment FACT! XD

    Patch Size = Total Size
Download Size = (Total Size - What you already have up to date).

It's a delta update system of some kind.

Edit: I do agree they could display it in a more logical manner, calculate the differences first instead of one file at a time, and display only the delta size. This would reduce confusion. Cryptic needs to learn to always assume the end-user is an idiot.

Used to be able to press 'X' while the patch was downloading and see the files being checked, percentage downloaded, etc. I really miss that feature. :(

hmm but it is free to play.
so your telling me if the money stops coming in it will shut down.

then it's not free to play anymore is it.

it was not my intention to cause any ill feeling between anyone, was getting a bit uptight about the current state of the game is all.
i am not whinning, just wanted to put my views across, which could of been put across a bit more better.

but the result is still the same.

I am greatful for all patches because I know it will make the game better. As a lifetime sub I want this game to grow and get better and it can't do that if they can't add new content or fix bugs. As I have posted before I am Retired and play at all times of the day or night so it is inconvenient no matter when they patch but I'm glad they are doing it. We should be thankful not hateful to the Devs and Cryptic.

@jorantomalak: It appears to be a combination of english-as-second-language and stating that during this time period his local time, he is unable to connect to the login server.

He may be mistaken as to daylight savings time or somesuch.

Cryptic needs to hire a company to provide realtime universal translation services, so that everyone can post in their native tounge and be understood.

Sure is alot of fluff in that patch, but where's the 'server stability updates' ?
    :D

Still see nothing in it that affects my non pet using, non carrier owning, non veteran, non summer event participating toons. I can't help but wonder why a mail terminal was added to the summer event planet if using the mail for storage is such a big exploit. 6+ weeks not logging in while waiting for game breaking items to be fixed.

    Miss me yet ?

Free to play does not mean they are not making money. It means you do not HAVE to spend money to play. They still make money on the game by offering premium content to those who want more or better things then are offered for free. Things like the Zen store and subscriptions that give you more character slots, more inventory space, etc are how they make their money. People who insist they are purposely putting out bugs to TRIBBLE with the players are just plain idiots. That sort of thinking would not make them any money, and in fact fixing issues that they are able to helps them make money, not ignoring civil complaints and suggestions. The problem is, most players do not stop to consider they are speaking to a human being when they fire off a whining, profanity filled complaint about a minor issue rather then act like an adult. If I was in tech support or one of the game designers/programmers, I would ignore those sorts of complaints too.

@bemlega: You appear to be confusing drug abuse with drug use. They are significantly different. However, I do agree that keeping such things to oneself is the best method to avoid ostracism from those in.. restrictive.. societies.

@jorantomalak: I am in good spirits and quite relaxed at this time. Thank you for your concern.
