Thanks
I had just started to get used to that.
I am beginning to think that is beyond their coders/programmers skills. It has been that way for years, and will not change.
I just stopped using that ship.
Doh!
Sorry, couldn't resist. :P
Seriously though Cryptic. There are many issues outstanding since the launch of LoR (and more that were released after) over two months ago. Please take some time to address those.
Thank you.
You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.
The UI is fully scalable, and those UI elements can also be toggled off. Both are more than adequate solutions for people unwilling to using monitors with modern resolutions.
Did you fix the annoying "Ambassador beams out but we get no credit for it." bug?
This too.
The UI is not fully scalable. The entire UI is scalable. There's a difference.
STO runs from 800x600 up. If they do not want to support folks running less than 1920x1080, then they need to state that.
Even at 1400x900, things are uber tight with the new elements. Couldn't imagine it for folks running less than that.
Turning the elements off - is problematic.
You lose the ability to track how they've ranked up.
You lose the ability to track their shields/hull.
You lose the easy reference to what's going on with the pets.
You lose the ability to give commands to separate hangars.
If the UI were actually fully scalable - if you could scale individual elements - then it would be a different matter.
So uh...nope...going to have to disagree.
What does this mean?
I already own Advanced Jem'Hadar Attack Ship pets from the Dil store, but I cannot seem to buy more of them now, and I'm hoping to snag some Elite versions.
That's not how I was hoping the pet XP buff would work.
I was hoping it would build XP for time survived or whatever, then stop at that level and remember the XP earned.
So, over time, your pets could build XP until they were rank 5.
But a temporary buff that only lasts while you're in a mission?
That doesn't motivate me to keep them alive, I'll just replace them instead if they fall!
Terradome was removed?
Why?
Granted, I didn't play it that often, but it was nice to do sometimes.
You're not getting my 8472 Telepathic Inhibitor back!
And yes, I kept it after the mission was done.
Bees like honey, they don't like vinegar.
Everytime someone makes a character that is an copy of an existing superhuman, Creativity is sad
Does fixing stuff or releasing properly tested stuff (and fixed!) makes money? YES IT DOES. Why? Because ppl. would stop laughing at you and take you more serious.
"Cryptic? Oh yes. They take their game serious. I love to spend money there because I know issues get taken care of" <- Sounds good? Yeah. Work for it! Right now its more like:
"Cryptic? Eh... lol. Buggy mess. Problems get ignored. I don't spend too much"
Yes, there is a big list of features added / stuff fixed in the current notes, but that does not chance the fact that you love to sit out & playing the three monkeys (ref.) at a lot of other very blatant obvious issues and ppl getting annoyed by that.
Current Terradome removed to replace it with a cool version of it. Brilliant idea. Honestly!
Current Terradome removed to replace it with a cool version... sometime in the future but we really don't know when. <- Don't you get the amount of facepalm in that descission?
Meh... enough talking to walls today
update as well?
I didnt see anything in the notes but maybe I overlooked it.
Yes, greed. Same reason they haven't fixed the missing body parts on my Embassey boffs (even though I've been bringing it up for ages): releasing new stuff, so as to make more money, always takes priority over doing something as banale as fixing bugs.
Very sad, yet very true.
That's a fun and challenging mission, why get rid of it?
Shhhhh, preparation for what's coming later this year...
So why not do the crazy thing and wait til later in the year when it is ready to remove this?
Heh, if I remember correctly - I think they said that it was underplayed - had some bugs...I swear it was in a recent podcast or interview, but I can't remember.
Yes, I understand how I started and ended that sentence.
Come on Cryptic really. Now I love the carrier UI update, but i'd be more than happy to wait another month for it if it meant that what I have to go through now was a little more reliable.
only 2 things?
what about the other 200 missing costume pieces and pallet problems...
very dissapointing
