Love this ship. Have one on my Reman setup as a Escort and it performs excellent. And have one on my Romulan and setup as a engie ship with beams and it performs just as excellent. In fact it outperforms any of my other engie ships.
And I'm old, not dead.
If your're so smart how come you don't own everything?

My Engie has hers done with the Rommy Rep Beams and the wide angle QTorp launcher and it was rather amusing watching other Vettes in STF's go boom last night while I rarely took damage as I never stopped moving (I had mass aggro for half of Conduit too, silly Borg)

The problem is how many people seem to have adopted "stop and fire" as their playstyle.
I think the low durability, high speed is how more ships should play.
But I've been saying for awhile, I think it would be best if:
1) Escorts were burst damage tanks with a focus on drawing fire and NEVER STOPPING.
2) Cruisers were sustained damage vessels with an emphasis NOT on tanking and lower respawn timers.
Having seen burstorion's corvette, or rather a torpedo-launching blur that was probably burstorion's corvette, in action, I can attest to its effectiveness.
The corvette is an extremely fun ship to fly. Its speed neatly counters the irritation of the prevalence of EPtE on NPCs.
It's also extremely entertaining to use the hyper plasma torpedo like guided napalm bombs.

They're like the PT boats of WWII, they need to keep moving to be effective. For Borg cubes I find the best tactic is to zoom straight in. The 'vettes turn rate is so tight you can skim the surface as if you are wrapping around it and just continuously fire. Their shields can't take the point-blank pounding from all sides, and you can drained them down to zero in probably less than two minutes.
Great ship IMO, little weak in the hull points, but not a biggie being it's a zen-free ship. For me I fly one called the LS7-Corvette, you all might have seen it around from time to time.
My Corvette (surprisingly) is moving a bit too slow for my tastes. Any recommended engines?
Simple, look for anything that will give the highest rated speed boost for regular and/or impulse speeds as well. Also anything that can give initially higher engpwr will help also, now if you prefer more maneuverability you need to boost your auxpwr.

Also unless the information in accessing ship's computer for information is outdated or incorrect, it says it does.

Aux power hasn't affected turn rate for years.
Many months ago there was some discussion on the forum because the loading screen tip that said "Aux affects turn rate" was still showing up, even though it was wrong.

That is actually one of the keys to surviving Devil's choice. Run at full throttle the who mission and shoot at whatever is in range.

my thing with devils choice was i cloaked got behind the elachi fleet decloak get all the aggro then cloaked again kept them in a sorta pong type seasaw till they all sploded.
but never stopped moving when i cloaked id move to another place decloak shoot like crazy get the aggro and cloak again wash rinse repeat.
I was beating devils choice with ease while i was still reading players having trouble with it during the early days after LoR launch.
And having engi skill reverse shield polarity helps alot especiallly when the elachi battlewagons use their special attack i get insta shield recharge that way

Yeah I found out that's the way to go, unfortunately it took a few deaths to realize that. For the Corvette, if you're not keybinding all your abilities to a few keys you should be. Spam and move, spam and move.

Engines effect turn rate, not aux.
