New Exchange Limits + Broken Mail = Broken Spirits

Okay, first time making a thread so hopefully this is under the right category. With yesterday's Maintenance and now a limit on the amount of auctions in the exchange that you can post, I am encountering a problem. If I understand this right, if a player has one "Item Being Returned to You" email in their inbox, that is one less auction they can post in the Exchange. (Not debating the "fairness" of this new policy. Whatevs. ) that's all fine and good. BUT ... I have dozens of these types of emails in my inbox that cannot be deleted ever since the last Mail System issues. I have tried countless times to delete these but it will not let me. When I click on one of them, a second one appears directly beneath it with an item attached. . If I try to "Take Item", the button is grayed out making it impossible to retrieve the item or delete the message.

So does this mean I will never be able to sell items on the exchange again since these messages from early June are still in my inbox? I don't use the Exchange for any "controversial" exploits or anything. I simply sell items I wont be using to get something for them rather than discarding them. But still, this seems rather ridiculous.

I love this game. I am very understanding that a game this complex involves ridiculously intricate programming and work that is beyond my paygrade but i dont understand how anyome would be able to sell on the exchange if we cant delete emails that were permanently bound to our accounts when the last mail system issues occurred.

Note: I am basing this observation off of last night when I tried posting items to the exchange and it told me that I couldn't. Not sure if the exchange was down or whatever so I apologize if that's the case.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue too?

While the limit on the number of items you can post on the exchange has been around for a long time, I agree that now is not good time to include returned item emails in that total, given the current semi-broken state of the mail system.

I agree. However, I went to a mailbox in DS9 and was able to delete messages. So either A. Its working again or B. I'm a moron.

I believe it appears to be switching back and forth from broken to fixed depending on the player and the patch.

I don't know if you were trying to take the item while at a mail console the first time or not, but you can't take or send attachments unless you're actually at a mail console. Learned that the hard way >_<
