STO crashing computer on Exit

I suspect my problem is video-related, but figured it was worth a check to see if anyone else had ideas.
I have a GeForce 8400 GS card, in Windows XP, and was previously running the version 316 drivers and had started having frequent blue screen crashes during play on Risa since the last patch, so after reading forums a bit I decided to try upgrading to the latest drivers (I'd been using older drivers due to issues with another game, but they seem to have fixed that issue finally).
Since I updated to the 322 drivers a couple of days ago, I've had no more blue screens during play, but when STO exits, it spends a long time busy and then crashes the computer. Spending a long time busy wasn't new, as it was doing that with the older drivers, but crashing the computer on exit is new. Any suggestions as to a way of stopping that?
