i have another account that i paid for before the launch of free to play. i used a yahoo.com mail address to set it up. as most know if you don't access your yahoo mail often enough it automatically deletes itself , here is my problem star trek online now requires us to use a security code if you have not logged in on a certain computer before or if you reset/wipe your computer. now i cannot get into that account i know the password and username but cannot get passed the code. what do i do?
You can simply reopen your Yahoo account - assuming someone else hasn't taken the account name. From there it will send you the security code and you can then make all the necessary changes.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
I think what Yahoo does is it simply deactivates your account in long periods of inactivity. I have been able to go back and log in with the old username and password, and it will reactivate it, without all the past emails of course.
Other than that, i am not sure what you can do. i am pretty sure they have things locked down so people can't just steal accounts. You can always call them and see.
