yes the legs are noticeably thinner...and the 7of9 tall boots are thicker at the top...If you put the 7of9 pants and the 7of9 tall boots together it looks very weird.
It makes us all look like runway models, very funky.
I hope this is just a bug.

Cryptic! don't you EVEN DARE! match the boots to the pants!
match the pants BACK! to the Boots... The way they where.. before you ruined them.
Oh, great. I haven't had any new officers since the change, so I don't know how bad it is. It looks like my next female officer will be getting body shape revisions. Just think of it as time at the gym. Speaking of time at the gym, the athletic looks should really be standard for any character who works in space for a living.
Agree, and is even worst with some skirts.. you can see the diference beatuine the normal legs TOS skirts with the others.
I loss hopes for a fix long time ago.

Yep they look bad in pants but worse in skirts! They look just awful now, was far better before!
You can see in this screenshot how the leg bulk changes when wearing tight pants. Notice that the boots don't change in size at all, leaving a large rim at the top of the boot.
So it's not just my imagination then? I could have sworn that legs overall are way thinner ever since LoR went live. All new boffs I've edited have leg bulk set to max and I still at times thought they are way too thin than they were before.

Does some one on the Cryptic art team have a body image disorder? Maybe anorexic? People with eating disorders often suffer from an inability to identify body shapes which are normal or average.
Sure its like we are looking at a big head and a set of huge TRIBBLE mounted on a stick. I have thought that the basic body proportions for male and female characters were off for a while now. I almost always have to widen the shoulders and get a good V chest to "try to make them look like people."

NONE of it is real so what is "normal"?
AND you have to wonder about those who create toons that want cankles.
NO to ARC RIP KDF and PvP 2014-07-17 Season 9.5 - Death by Dev
I fully agree with the OP.
I would go even further and say that all Leg settings look way too thin.
In my Character and BOFFS i tend to use the highest setting (leg Bulk) just to make them NOT look somehow anorexic.
Have you guys ever tried (for fun) to make a male Charcter look Body Builder Like?
This is perfectly possible with Upper Body setings but the legs look rediculusly thin, why?
The best you can get is a somehow average look for the legs but all my BOFFS/Captains (Female or Male) would have have cartoonish proportions if i wouldn't actively make them look at least a bit more natural.
I think the problem are some of Cryptics designers, they obviously have no sense of proportion.

I find the pant-wearing one looking normal, while the bare one looks way too thick compared to the rest of the leg.
On the other hand, the leg girth options do end before you reach the bodybuilder type.
Which can be bad for gorn or klingons.
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

What I hate are people who run around with the bust slider maxed out, paper thin legs and hips so big it acts like a Romulan's Projected Singularity ability and Gravity Well III all in one package.
I mean if you're gonna go for Marxia the Orion Slave Girl at least be realistic about it. And I found a name for my Orion so yay

Having viewed the image you posted the ratio between the thigh and calf is more anatomically correct now than they were before, I can't remember seeing anyone in real life that has calves as big as their thighs.
If anything I'd say the Devs have improved the look of them, rather than them having cartoon proportions as they did before.

I don't want to discuss character proportions, but if that's the case, they need to fix the boots so they match again.
The way I see it is that not calves are too thin, but they made boots thicker. There is now a clear edge where the boot ends and the leg starts. It really shows on the shorter boots that the feds have. The klingons always had massive boots which made me wonder what are these, where is it made off, can you walk/run proper wearing these. (These boots aren't made for walking)
Computer figures don't have clothes in fact. They have a skin which represents their body and their cloths. With the edge on the boot they have tried to represent there is actual material on the leg and feet.
The pictures of the legs here in this thread show it well. The first one shows a leg with a different skin. The second one shows a leg with a boot on it. However it seems we can only have boots with isolation, only thick boots.

I took a look back at screenshots from the past, they did seem thicker, but maybe it was the lighting. Hopefully they are adustable in the tailor.

That may be true, but now the boots look stupid.
