    Ryan: Understood. Stand by.

Ops, launch a probe towards the Vault.

Ops: Sir... don't we need the Remans' permission?

Ryan: That's why we're only launching a probe.

    Ops: Aye sir.

Sir, the Kahless is helping conduct preliminary repairs to the Bunker Hill so they can return to Starbase.

Vice Admiral Soval has redirected another Starship to take her place.

    Ryan: Which ship?

Ops: The Admiral didn't specify, sir. He just said that he's going to be taking command of that ship when it gets here.

    Ryan: Which will be...?

    Ops: Tomorrow.

*Halfway to the Vault, the U.S.S. Victorious’ probe briefly picks up a Federation ship’s signature.*

Probe transmission: Ship detected. Transponder signal accessed.

    Ship designation: U.S.S. Umbra, NCC-92887-F

    Odyssey Class [Tactical Configuration]

Armaments: Anti-proton Beam Arrays, Trans-Phasic Torpedoes

    Defensive measures: [Redacted]

Top Speed: Warp Factor 9.99, Quantum Slipstream Drive, [Redacted]

    CO: [Redacted]

    Mission: [Redacted]

Notes: Further information on this vessel has been restricted by Starfleet Intelligence and the Commander-in-Chief of the United Federation of Planets.

*The probe then detects a huge spike in energy from the Umbra’s warp core followed by the ship disappearing from sensors completely. Scans indicate that no cloak was activated.*

OOC: I hope this tread isn't dead, since it's been almost a month since last post, even more since the last big player posted
R.R.W Impavadus V was on the outskirts of the Haakona System. It's long range sensors just picked up a probe in Reman space.

    Subcommander T'eal: Admiral?

    Vice Admiral Baroan: Yes T'eal?

T'eal: Sensors have picked up a probe of Federation classifications on it's way to the Vault. It seems to have originated from an area of conflict between the Borg, Klingons, and Feds. There also seems to be a Romulan ship that recently announced it's rebellion by attacking a the I.K.S. Kang, in the very system infact.

Admiral Baroan: Have you informed the Remans yet?

T'eal: I have hailed them several times, but the system is quiet....

Baroan: Hmm, well. That isn't like Obisek at all. Warp to the sector where the probe originated from. Engage cloak as a precaution.

OOC: Baroan is my main char in this, he's a Romulan of 29 years. He's a Science Officer in the Republic military, mainly because his profession during the Romulan Diaspora was as a doctor. He joined when the Tal'Shiar attacked Virinat. Basic tutorial mission story. He took more of a research and diplomacy role, though. He was D'Tan's personal assisstant and diplomat to the Federation and helped persuade them to join the treaty talks at Khitomer. The Fed characters should have at least heard of him. Sorry for sucha big backstory in an OOC insert.

*The U.S.S. Umbra drops out of high warp 500 meters starboard of the Impavadus and drifts away slowly. She is riddled with scars and burn marks. There are may holes in her hull. Smoke and fire billows out of most of them. The left nacelle is slowly leaking plasma and almost none of the ship's lights are on.*

???: "Open all frequencies. This is Vice Admiral Kran Su of the Federation starship Umbra. To any ships in range, our hull has been compromised and we are loosing antimatter containment. We request immediate assistance."

    *There is a brief pause*

Kran: "Please don't abandon my crew..."

T'eal: Sir, Federation ship just dropped out, hailing us on all frequencies!

    Baroan: Well, let's hear it...
    *Message plays*
Baroan: T'eal, open a frequency. Also, belay the warp order, this takes precedance.

T'eal: Order belayed and channel open, sir.

Baroan: U.S.S. Umbra, this is Vice Admiral Baroan of the Romulan Republic, commander of the R.R.W. Impavadus V. Our scanners, and frankly our eyes, have seen the intense damage inflicted on you. We will begin immediate emergancy repairs, but only if you jettison the core. I will not abandon your crew Admiral, but I will not put mine in potential danger. Close channel.

    T'eal: Channel closed, sir.

Baroan: Good, prepare all engineers and doctors available for the repairs. I will accompany them also. Inform me of their response. Commander Oliah, you have the bridge.

*The Impavadus, being a D'deridex class ship, is fully capable of repairing the Umbra. If she wishes to take part in the main battle fot the Void after, the Impavadus is capable of extending the singularity feild to encompass the ship*

OCC: I guess now would be a good time to introduce the bridge crew. This is based mostly on my main toon. The captain is of course Vice Admiral Kran Su, he is human. The first officer is and Chief of tactical is Ellen McClain who is only 17, she is human. The Chief of security is Tort, he is a Klingon. The Chief Engineer is Shron, he is an Andorian. The Chief of operations is Satome, she is a Vulcan. The Chief Scientist is Sharino, she is Klingon. Finally the Chief Medical Officer is Seeba, she is Trill. (yes I know Ellen's name is very close to a real person's name but I found that out after I named her.) Also of note is that Ellen has had many problems with the crew because of her age... until she broke a few noses...

*The bridge crew listens to the message sent by the Impavadus and opens a channel.*

Kran: "Thank you for responding however the core is fused in place. We cannot eject it. Our sensors are down so I can't see you. We have over 2,500 people on this ship. I don't know how may you can take so take the children first, then the civilians, and only then take the crew. We knew the risks when we singed up... After you have everyone you can carry, get as far away as possible. We have a... bit more antimatter than a usual starship."

    *The channel closes*

OOC: The Umbra is suppose to be doomed. Given that you have a D'deridex you should be able to get them all off the ship. (most have probably died in the battle the Umbra was in) The crew is suppose to survive, the ship is not. Other than that do what you will. :D Sorry for the long post.
P.S. Beam them into the cargo hold if you have to. I don't care... They might but their ship is dieing. They'll get over it.

T'eal: Bridge to Admiral, the Umbra has responded. Apparantly, their core is fused in place and they can't eject it. They asked us to take as much as we can by transporter and we should be able to take all 2,500 of the crew.

Baroan: Well, do it then! Put them all in the cargo and shuttle bays.

Chief Engineering Officer Killyah: Sir, sadly we can't grab them all. The antimatter is affecting the sensors and we can only get what seems to be the civilan and science decks. Their Main Engineering and all tactical decks are flooded with the stuff, thats why we can't get a read.

Baroan: Well, I hate leaving people to die, especially after Virinat. Antimatter poisoning would have killed them in the hours after, even if we could have saved them. Do we have the bridge in our scanners though?

Oliah: We do, sir. We can have them beamed to our bridge first, if you want Admiral.

Baroan: Do it. Have medical staff outside the cargo hold and shuttle bays. Move us away from the derelict, and fire plasma torpedoes. I hope Kran doesn't mind. Oh, by the way, I'm on my to the bridge.

*Baroan arrived on the bridge and nodded to Killyah to transport. He watched as the particules of the Federation bridge crew materilize*

OOC: I'm fine with long posts, in fact I love them!:D I guess I need to clarify my bridge crew too. Oliah is my First Officer, she's a Romulan, as is most of my crew. T'eal is my helmsman and comms officer, he's a Romulan. Killyah is my engineering officer and H.o.O., she's Reman. My Tactical Officer and H.o.S is Gyen, a Liberated Borg Romulan. My Science Officer and H.o.M. is Salia, she's a Romulan. Also, maybe my main char's love interest if I decide a 'Captain and #1 romance' is too main stream. I really hope the guys that started this thread will return.

OOC: I guess it would be good to describe Kran a bit. Only what Baroan would have been able to see though. He is a in his late 40s. His demeanor shows him to be a thoughtful man confident in his own abilities but his eyes show the wisdom and experience that a career commanding battles brings.

*Kran looks around the bridge surprised (but not outwardly showing it) to find himself there rather than in a cargo bay. His gaze drifts around the bridge until he finds each of his bridge officers at which point he focuses on Baroan.*

Kran: How many were you able to recover?

*Baroan looks at Oliah, who in turn looks at a console and back at Kran*
Oliah: Admiral Kran, we were able to recover all of the civilians on your ship, which was around 500. We also rescued all of the scientists and doctors of your crew, another 500. Sadly, there was too much antimatter on the lower decks, which our sensors could not penetrate. Most likely meaning that most of your engineering crew and tactical crew where left. We are preparing to blow up the Umbra to ensure them a swift and painless end. Of course, only if you don't object?

Kran: If the lower decks are flooded with antimatter they'er all ready dead. The antimatter will have torn their bodies apart... I suggest you get as far away from her as possible. With the amount of antimatter the Umbra carries she's going to go up like a borg cube. For the safety of your crew and my own I suggest you get at least ten kilometers away... Shooting her won't be necessary... She'll go up of her own accord.

OOC: Seeming as this is the only good time for Kran to get a good look at Baroan, I'll describe him. He is a young, slight Romulan male of 29, typical haircut and a small scar in the corner of his eye. As I mentioned, he is a diplomat to the Federation and helped create the current treaty. Kran might have heard of him depending on if Kran is active in diplomatic circles.

    USS Endeavour:

    James: "Open hailing frequencies"
There was a chirp as the Endeavour hailed the Imperadus...

Baroan: Of course, though if you don't want to right now, that is fine. Though I don't know much about human psychology, I do think that is a normal response to this kind of thing...

Kran: No. This is important information... It was the Terran Empire. More specifically, my mirror self. You see, I am a member of the Temporal Security Agency. I was instigating a temporal anomaly about two light years from here when the mirror Umbra appeared. There was no hail. No warning. Our shields were down at the time so we were hit hard at first. We were able to fend the mirror Umbra off long enough to produce a subspace fold which through us two light years away... And nearly on top of you it seems.

Baroan: I personally haven't had much experiance with the Mirror Universe, though I did have an encounter with the Terran Empire once. Hmm, this is a problem... I will have to contact D'Tan. I can put you through the Admiral at E.S.D. Now, though, we do have to put the ship on yellow alert. If your Umbra can get here as damaged as she was, then the mirror Umbra can get just as fast. *Getting up and walking to his desk, then tapping a comm button on it* Oliah, anything to report?

Oliah: Yes sir. A Federation ship has just dropped out of warp, no response to our hail yet, though.

Baroan: All right, keep at it. Admiral Kran, would like me to take you to your room?

    OOC: It's Impavadus
T'eal: Commander, Federation ship just dropped out, hailing us too.

Oliah: Two in one day? Damn. Open it then.

    T'eal: Open.

Oliah: Jolan tru, Federation starship. Might I ask what your doing here?

James: Greetings, we are investigating the disepperance of one of our ships, and believe you have infomation. Over.

*The ship recieves the message at the same time that Kran and Baroan walk onto the Bridge*
Baroan: Well, if you are looking for the Umbra, we do infact have some information. Better yet, we have her captain.
    *Baroan looks expectly at Kran*

Kran: Well if it is the Umbra you are looking for, you won't find her. She suffered a warp core breach.

OOC: Well, now we wait. If he isn't back by tonight then I propose we just ignore what he's said and take it from before Baroan stood up from his chair the first time.

James: Yes, we are looking for the Genorex

    I.R.W. Genorex
Helm officer: Sir, two ships detected. We can easily overpower both of them
T'Vor: Very well, take us in, decloak and open fire.

The Genorex decloaks and begin piercing the Endeavour and Impavadus with disruptors, critically damaging both.

    *The impact knocked Baroan down*
    Baroan: Gahh! Sheilds up!
    *Baroan quickly gets up*
Baroan: Killyah, get the nanites working on repairs. Salia, get the crews status report and see if we need flight or to fight. Gyen, get disruptors aimed at that warbird. T'eal, call all allied ships near for help. No, first, open channels to the attacker.
    *To I.R.W. Genorex*
Baroan: To unindentified vessel, you have attacked a Romulan Republic vessel. If you do not stop now, we will be forced to destroy you. Close channels.
    T'eal: Channels closed, sir.
Baroan: Gyen, I think it's time to unsheild our secret weapon...
    Gyen: Are you sure?
Baroan: Completely, might be overkill if we have to use it, but maybe just the signature will scare them off.
*A thalaron signal starts to emit from the R.R.W. Impavadus*

    I.R.W. Genorex:
T'vor: Thalaron? Fire the remainder of our plasma torpedos, and warp out, NOW!
The Genore fires 20 high-tech plasma torpedos, critically damaging the Impavadus and Endeavour, and warps out.
