Our Open Starbase Project will open up again Friday, November 1st. Which is tomorrow. If you have missed RPing with some of our great members, other folks, or haven't stopped by yet, we'd love to welcome you back onto our Starbase with open arms.
Over the last week, Starbase 381 has been closed to public transit due to an internal plot we've been running. The fact is, trying to explain it to the general public and include players in the mayhem that was our Mirror Week would have been exhausting work- then we'd have to do it again to make sure everyone knew it was over. A base closure was simply the path of least resistance for the time being.
Over the course of that week, the players and staff of the 26th Fleet have had time to reflect on the changes that have been wrought by the Open Starbase Project. Players have been coming together like never before, connections are being made, and different styles of role play are beginning to rub together this has led to some friction amongst some of the members of our growing community. I'm going to be establishing some guidelines and posting some articles for your consideration in the OSB. Whether my fellow guild leaders decide to adopt these guidelines for their own OSB Projects is of course, up to them.
To all of our eager guests, thank you for your patience and understanding during our down time. We hope you all had a safe and Happy Halloween. We look forward to enjoying the pleasure of your company going forward, and we hope you'll join us for Season 8 content being released on November 12th.

Task Force: Columbia Report Presented (AFP - San Francisco) Stardate 91455.6
The upper chambers of Starfleet Command were closed to the proceedings of the the Columbia Task Force report presented by Captain William P. Harker today. The Task Force was commissioned on Stardate 91071 to investigate the involvement of Admiral Jennifer Hunter and the disappearance of the USS Columbia during an apparently illegal operation involving the fledgling Romulan Republic. Although the specifics of Harker's report are unavailable for security reasons, the Captain did provide the following prepared statement during a press conference:
"The findings of the Columbia Task Force have illuminated for Starfleet Command, and for the Federation Council a number of serious matters brought forward by Admiral Jennifer Hunter. During the course of our investigation, we received cooperation from the 26th Fleet, the Acamarian government and the Romulan Republic.
"I have been asked to share with you that the USS Columbia remains operational, and is working to find its way home to Federation space. During the course of the mission directed by Admiral Hunter, the vessels commander was given Emergency Order 58, prohibiting all further contact with the ship. Although EO-58 made it impossible to contact or locate Columbia for some time, the reality of the situation is this - the vessel became lost in space, and only recently has gained the capability to contact Starfleet Command. Unlike the USS Voyager mission to the Delta Quadrant, Columbia and her crew are much closer, and their return is anticipated shortly.
"In this regard, the primary mission of the Task Force is complete. All regular capabilities of Starfleet Command are now alerted to watch for USS Columbia and to render assistance the moment she comes into range of any outpost or vessel.
"I understand many people will have questions concerning the disposition of Admiral Hunter, and the alleged violations of Starfleet Regulations that have been previously been reported in the media. I have been instructed by Commander Starfleet to report to you that Admiral Hunter has claimed defense for her actions based on Article 14, Section 31 of the Starfleet Charter and that as a result, the matter has been referred to the office of Commander Starfleet in cooperation with the office of the Judge Advocate General."
Following the press conference, the media network was abuzz with speculation connecting the status of USS Columbia with recent turmoil on Mol'Rihan, or New Romulus. It was recently reported that a major seismic event occurred on New Romulus that was proceeded by a substantial, rapid shift in not only in Starfleet deployment, but in political overtures between the Federation, Empire and Republic. Although those events remain highly classified at this time, conspiracy theorists content that a fragment of the Borg Transwarp network was accessed, possibly explaining the quick relocation of numerous vessels in the Tau Dewa sector, but also offering a possible explanation for USS Columbia's distance from Federation space.
The fate of Jennifer Hunter remains unknown. The accomplished Starfleet officer has a storied career with a meteoric rise to power, but the question of her fall remains to be determined.

SUBJECT: AAR: NL-056 Derelict
On Stardate 90860.2 at approximately 19:30 hours (Local Station Time) under my command, the USS Caspian, USS Harpe, USS Tyndaris and USS Tlanek set out from SB381 Praetorian. The primary objective or our mission was to investigate a large derelict starship in the NL-056 system that had been detected by one of our long range survey probes. The derelict was flagged as a priority for several intriguing reasons not the least of which being it's size. The vessel masses nearly as much an Ambassador Class starship. It is far larger than any ships fielded by the known indigenous species, save the Nua and it's design does not conform to any previously encountered vessels.
After several hours travel time we arrived at NL-056. I ordered a that the group enter the system slowing and tasked the Harpe and Tyndaris with rear guard action. Intelligence indicated that there was a high probability that NL-056 was located within Lekaari territory. After only a few minutes this was confirmed when the Tyndaris detected several warp signatures inbound to our location that matched Lekaari profiles.
I immediately ordered all vessels to go to yellow alert but to keep weapons on stand by. Once in system the lead Lekaari ship did hail us but only to tell us to leave or die. Unfortunately, the Lekaari Captain terminated the transmission before I could answer and opened fire on our group. I gave the group permission to return fire but to modulate weapons for disabling strikes only. After several minutes of fierce fighting the Raider vessels withdrew and our ships only sustained minor damage.
Once it was clear that the Lekaari were not coming back we organized an away team and beamed over to the derelict. Scans showed a lack of atmosphere so EV suits were required before we boarded the ship. We selected an area near the outer hull to begin our investigation and safety assessment of the wreck.
Despite it's age, somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 plus years, the derelict was in surprisingly good condition. A testament to the advanced nature of it's construction. There was some metal corrosion and the atmosphere had long since been vented due to hull breaches caused by micro asteroid strikes however the ships orbit was stable and the space frame was still intact.
After our initial safety assessment we proceeded deeper into the vessel. It wasn't long before we started finding the remains of the ships crew scattered throughout the corridors. Although the bodies were extremely desiccated, they were preserved enough to be recognizable as Lekaari. A quick tricorder scan confirmed it. Interestingly enough all of them were in uniform.
After collecting a few samples, I ordered the team to move on. Next we found a large chamber which contained a dead but still impressive power core. My engineers estimate that it could have easily had an output of 1200 to 1500 thousand teradynes per second. In addition to the power core we also found a console in relatively good condition. Captain Corvus attempted to restore power to the console using one of our power packs and succeeded for a few seconds before the console overloaded. Still she was able to retrieve a few data files. They were heavily corrupted and our data reconstruction experts are still working to restore them.
What happened next I am reluctant to report. I was on point and as we rounded a corner heading into what appeared to be the ship's mess hall for a moment I could have sworn that I saw several figures standing in the room. I blinked and they were gone. I asked if any of the others had seen them as well but they hadn't. I shook it off and just attributed it too being creeped out by walking around inside a dead ship.
The mess hall was a multi tiered affair which seemed to imply a very ordered and regimented social hierarchy. We found several more corpses in the mess hall and we inferred from the decorations on their uniforms that each level of was reserved for certain crew members. The enlisted were on the bottom, officers on the middle tier and the Captain and command crew would occupy the top level.
We found a back up power generator next and what appeared to be the crew barracks. I ordered Trell and Corvus to examine the generator and the Ensign that accompanied us on the away team came with me to search the Barracks. The barracks were pretty standard. It looked to be enlisted quarters. We did find a journal and the linguistics department is still translating most of it's contents. However we have managed to determine that it is an account of daily Lekaari life before their decline into piracy and current nomadic existence. Hopefully I'll have more to report on that front soon.
Not finding anything else of interest I decided to hook back up with Trell and Corvus. Just as we rendezvoused with the other half of our team the apparitions that I had convinced myself I had imagined appeared again. Only this time the whole team saw them. So yes, we had found ourselves aboard an actual ghost ship. As I'm writing this report I realize just how insane that sounds but the other members of the away team will back my story.
Anyway tricorder readings of the phantoms proved mostly inconclusive but we did detect an odd radiation signature that seemed to be tied to them. After taking a moment to get over the fact that yes, we had just seen ghosts, we decided to press on and head for the command deck. What happened next still gives me the chills. When we reached the bridge it was full of ghosts, and yes it still sounds crazy. The most chilling thing was that each of the phantoms appeared to be manning their stations, all the while standing over their own corpses either slumped in seats or sprawled on the deck nearby. Up to this point the apparitions we had encountered before had completely ignored us. However as we stepped fully onto the bridge they seemed to become aware of us and attacked. I cannot tell you how disconcerting it is fighting something that doesn't have a solid form. Still we managed to find a frequency on our weapons that temporarily disrupted the radiation signature the phantoms gave off effectively neutralizing them for a short while.
After dispatching the phantoms we worked quickly to gather as much information as we could from the bridge before they managed to re-coalesce. Captain Corvus having learned from the mistake she'd made before attempted to power up what looked to be the Captain's personal console. This time she succeeded with flying colors and was able to pull up the Captain's final log. the Captain's final entry was disturbing. He left a very explicit warning to stay away from the planet which the modern Lekaari gangs seem to have heeded and would explain why they have not stripped the derelict down for scrap. He also talked about how the crew had died were yet still there and that he was the last one left. He also mentioned the 'Ancient Ones' and that they had disturbed something on the planet's surface that apparently belonged to these 'Ancient Ones' and that it was the cause of all this.
Our probes did detect ruins on the planet's surface far older than anything we have yet encountered in the Outback. I'd recommend sending a team to study them except what happened to this Lekaari crew gives me pause. Something down there literally ripped their souls from their bodies and has trapped them there. Again, I know what that sounds like but that is what I saw. Still if Command decides to send a team to investigate the ruins I advise extreme caution.

SUBJECT Jhar'ta expanse, grid B4 report
Captain,
Yesterday (Stardate: 91492.98 ) I received direct and clear orders from you to explore and investigate the space station which was recenlty located in the grid B4. Hours later after enough people had woke up and began their shifts, I summoned the following personnel which formed the away team listed bellow;
Captain Wright
Commander Caroline Ward
Commander Kevin O'Hara
Lieutenant Commander Allison Ward
After briefing in the conference room, we immediately took our leave on board Genesis where the Genesis and Interceptor engaged into high warp and headed towards calculated path which would take us under cover right to the grid. It worked. Despite long time flight we made it with out any troubles. Upon our arrival our first anomaly was solved, the station was surrounded by heavy nebula storm which prohibited long range scanning but something still blocked all kinds of scans and caused disturbance in the scanners... even in the crew as we laid our eyes upon this monstrously massive sized space station which looks like it has been burned over time, hit by meteor showers and more. First hand scans show that it cannot support life properly but several air pockets are remaining and facilities and rooms in the edges have collapsed with exception of few hallways and corridors.
Due to disturbance of what ever was inside, we could not beam in... neither out as well.
We took a remote controlled Yellowstone shuttle and boarded the station and drilled through an airlock into the complex... the events... are shocking and gruesome and are listed bellow in chains of events and chapters.
Jhar'ta Expanse report, Grid B4, derelict space station.
Arrival
- Upon our arrival we were met by darkness and creaking and shaking old, dusty and even rusted space station of unknown origin. There was no atmosphere... making the maneuvers more bulky and rough and the thick darkness did not ease on us.
Our first trouble bumped into us, a tightly locked door which appeared to be burned shut from both sides. We assumed from the beginning that perhaps the station went through a cataclysm of fires judging by the exterior horrific condition. I ordered Commander O'Hara to use his rifle on the door, firing few shots and caused the door to crackle and crumble enough for us to move through further into the installation.
We were met by a small hall like room, again engulfed in darkness and dreadful silence but both of these were occasionally broken by flickering and sparkling lights, bending and creaking metal, something grinding against the metal in the distance and some metal clanking and banging against each other and occasionally the room received some light through a flickering and barely functional consoles which were located right in the middle of the hall. After securing sweep we gathered at the consoles and Commander and LtCmd Wards examined the consoles as rest of us covered them.
Upon closer look, the console was covered in thick and gel like substance which turned out to be blood with mixture of unknown body bits, brain cells and melted bones after several tricorder scans to verify it but the console worked well but the only file what we could pull out was a nameless chief engineers report.
'' T-They got out... they're every where.... in the dark... ''
'' Killing every one... everything lost... even my own time grows short ''
** Distant gunfire and the sad sniffle of the apparently female chief engineer is heard before-
a loud ripping sound of metal is heard in the background... report ends **
I ended up agreeing with both of the Wards... it was gruesome. Despite the shook ups and creeps what the entire installation and thoughts on what would be lurking further in the dark... we went deeper.
We went through a blast door into a even bigger sized hall like building with more consoles placed in the middle... but this time... there was something more. Upon our security sweeps we encountered bodies of the assumed former crew.
Closer inspection revealed that the corpses were heavily mutated, deformed, tortured and torn apart. These small clusters of bodies were found across the entire room. Before checking on the console... we had movement in the corner. We pointed our EV-suits lights and flashlights at the movement, one of the bodies were actually twitching and moving... we thought it was alive despite we were in an air pocket... we were wrong.
The hideously deformed and tortured humanoid like body slumped onto its all fours and appeared trying to groan in pain but was unable to. Instead, its throat, back, left leg and right arm began rapidly swelling... bloating along this small thorn like objects punctured through the corpses tissue. The bloating parts soon bursted open, large but young arachnid like creatures poured out from their ''nest'' and attempted to jump on us. We dashed backwards and I ordered to open fire... I personally did not wish to invite a large spider like creature to dinner after a birth like that.
The young spiders were neutralized by lethal force, most of their bodies vaporized due their low energy resistance.
Few remained. Before we managed to collect samples, the body which used to be their nest twitched again but instead something bursted out from its forehead and escaped into darkness... deeper into the installations pipes. After securing the room and collecting samples, Allison Ward discovered from one of the barely working console that the power grid was tampered with and 98% of the facility was under powered and critically damaged. But the last 2% had the last power cells... and recent modifications. According to her findings the last modifications were made week ago yet the station chief engineers report is two months old. We... were not alone.
After saving the report we gathered at the old lift which seemed to work. We used it to gain access to further levels bellow. We were greeted even thicker darkness and mentally challenging ambiance and noises in the dark, we plowed through the corridors and hallways. On several occasions more of these spider like creatures crawled through the floor and assaulted us with no luck and success. We easily neutralized them and collected samples. Before entering the final room which had a service turbo lift into the core of the station... we were assaulted by ''ghosts''. Glowing light blue floating entities, humanoid like but unknown head structure... they attacked us with unknown psychic abilities and lashed their claws and something which appeared to resemble a cane.
Most of us suffered head aches and symptoms of rough migraine after neutralizing these ''ghosts''. Few Corantazine injections later and patching up Commander O'Hara who received small wound to his right side of the rib, the suit was not breached but the attack scratched him from the inside, causing bleeding which was treated with hypos and med-gel. We tried to scan the environment to determine origin or gain some information what these floating attackers were... our scan attempts failed. We were unable to get any particle, biological, chemical, photonic or any readings from them. I first suspected Devidians but the Triolic-Wave particles were in zero. What ever it was... it attacked us first with well organised attack pattern and coordination. But they were waiting for us or either stumbled upon us. Either way, we were literally stumbling in the dark. Were these being created in this installation or were they a third party of unknown origin and faction? Hard to determine with out any proper information to form my hypothesis. But one thing I can be sure of... these ghosts were hostile and tried to kill us. With more caution and alertness we reached the last room which had the turbo lift which led deeper into the station. It worked well... too well. We entered it and made our way down to the core.

Atch: [ Alien Autopsy Results ] [ AAR - Taddreth Corridor ]
Captain Prinn,
My CMO and I have completed an initial autopsy on the bodies that Captain Smith and Commander Sabin managed to pull from the disabled Raiders located on the far end of Taddreth Corridor, I will keep it brief and the medical aspect to a point that is understandable. From the scans that were completed it would appear that there are two different sexes and for now will simply be classed as Male and Female for ease of reference.
The bodies of subjects 10 are completely hairless and we have been unable to detect any eccrine sweat glands, these would produce a watery secretion when body temperature rises, it is unsure at present how internal body temperatures are maintained but there is a possibility of it being linked to the scaled skin that is present across most of the body. The skin is of a very pale colour pigment that potentially have the ability to change, this at present is just a theory until more tests can be conducted.
The muscular frame of subjects 10 show the ability of a higher state of endurance compared to that of a terran avian. It would have the ability to exert itself and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from, and have immunity to trauma, wounds, or fatigue, but lacks the physical strength that one would assume would come with higher endurance. A possible weakness that could have a tactical advantage over them.
The bone structure of Subjects 10 are again similar to terran avian with the supporting structure of the skeleton providing the framework of the body and the maintaining of its shape, it would also appear that the bones throughout the bodies are hollow with the exception of the skull. Interestingly my CMO believes that the two bodies that we have at the moment could be within the younger age range of the species as she has come to the conclusion that at a later time the development of a ridge could potentially develop vertically down the centre of the skull, from tests conducted on the area there is a greater growth pattern in this region compared to that of the other bones. She believes it could be a similar development in the body compared to that of Human Puberty but without having a base sample to go on is pure speculation at present.
The eyes on both subjects show that the Iris, Cornea and lens are completely black with the retina being a lighter shade. We are unable at present without further detailed studies able to determine the spectrum range of colour that would be able to be seen. Tests on the light-sensitive photoreceptor cells of the retina are underway.
There is a lot more work that we are looking into and will of course keep you appraised on the situation as it develops.

A live holographic display of Special Federation Diplomatic and Allies News spark up followed with the well recognized theme tune but as it reaches its end, Higaran Republic flag forms on the screen before fading away, leaving one Higaran in Diplomacy robes standing on a podium in-front of the temporal Headquarters of Higaran Republic on Earth. A well audible audience is heard cheering and clapping behind the camera before the live image switches on showing the audience and then back to the podium. The female Higaran raises her arm, during so the crowd went quiet.
'' Brothers, sisters and friends! Today on behalf of Higaran Republic Elder Council I bring glorious news which illuminate our dark days. New dawn rises for us! ''
'' It is my honor to inform you my brothers and sisters... that from this day on... we have a new home! ''
'' Through long discussion and judging, our home will be in Eridani Belt, system Gamma-H-910068 but from this day on it will not be list of numbers! It will be Higara Prime! ''
With these words the crowd began cheering and applauding the minister and the good news, many Higarans ending in tears due to these news.
'' We are dedicating our entire fleets and best workers to rebuild our new home on the third planet, starting today. With hard work our crystal skyscrapers will once again reach for the skies and bask in the light of morning sun! When our new home is done, we will expand to rest of the planets and explore the Eridani Belt with our important friend and ally, the Federation. Our friend has been so kind to us, helped us and supported us through our hardship. And in return... when our homes have been rebuilt, we will celebrate with our ally who stood there with us and helped us back onto our feet! We in the Parliament and speakers of the Elder Council are honored to have such a friend during these dark times. We look forward on further work, research and exploration, together! ''
The Prime Minister ended her words and stood there, tall and proud for the cheering crowd as several fireworks were shot up in the sky, lighting it up with vast and pretty colors.
During so, the image faded and displayed live image outside Earth Space Dock where the main Higaran Prime fleets were located, the gigantic ships fired up their engines and flew in parade formations along with their transports and more which emerged from Earth's atmosphere and headed towards the Transwarp Gate and in the background can be heard the Higaran anthem. As the giant convoy prepares to warp out, the image once again fades and returns to the Higaran flag and the anthem still playing in the background, slowly fading away thus ending the special report.
Over the last three months, I have been attempting to acquit and defend myself of the charge of treason levied by the Starfleet Command Council. To this date, dispensation of my punishment has been delayed due to the distance of my command from Federation space, as well as the pressing matters which are transpiring on New Romulus, and the activation of the Milky Way's gate network.
Starfleet command has finally chosen to recall me for my actions leading up to the displacement of my command to the Outback, and the loss of over four hundred Klingon Defense Force starships, and their respective crews. Starfleet has made it a policy of negating the use of what could be considered, weapons of mass destruction. The charges say that by using the Gateway as a power source for the Scimitar's weapons, constitutes a weapon of mass destruction. Intent be damned.
When Jen gave me this command... my sole priority was to find Shallya. the most important thing in the galaxy was to find her, and bring her home and be damned T'Nae. Things got out of control... the Klingons were kicking in our door, Starfleet was denying assistance.
I'll have the opportunity to answer these charges in full once I get back to Sol. For now however, Vice Admiral Thomas Howard has been recalled from retirement and is en-route to assume command of the 26th fleet.
I never wanted an Admiral's star on my collar, or the responsibility that it comes with it. Now that it's gone however, I feel helpless to determine the fates of the men and women that I've come to respect and care for over this past year.

Subject: AAR - The Reach Distress Call
Captain,
As you know, Captain Rosewood held a briefing regarding a distress call, coming from 'The Reach'. During the briefing, I was asked by the Captain to take Op Com, which I did. After the briefing, Lieutenant Commander Telik, who would be acting as Communications Officer aboard my vessel for the duration of the mission, and myself beamed back to the USS McKinley. Also present was: Commander Ky'reth of theUSS Nijmegen, and Lieutenant Alderman of the USS Arleigh Burke. Also aboard the McKinley were Major Matthew Svenson, and a detachment of MACO's.
As soon as we were ready, I ordered all ships to set course towards The Reach at best possible speed. Once we arrived, all ships started scanning the area. After a few minutes, the Arleigh Burke reported, having 150 small craft of various configuration on sensors. However, suddenly the numbers started dropping. After another scan, sensors showed 4 Lekaari raiders firing on the escaping vessels. I ordered all ships to go to Red Alert, and fly towards the co-ordinates at maximum impulse. Meanwhile, the Nijmegen was transmitting a warning message to the attacking ships, to stand down or be fired upon. As we received no response, I ordered all ships to engage the attacking vessels. Meanwhile, we received a hail from Captain Shadow'Wing of the USS Genesis, who was in the area and able to provide assistance. Whilst the Arleigh Burke, Nijmegen and McKinley were engaging the raiders, I ordered the Genesis to protect the escaping shuttles and escape pods, and start scooping them up into various shuttle and cargo bays. By the time we were half done, the Lekaari vessels were solely concentrating their fire on us. After a few minutes of 'dog fighting', the remaining Lekaari ships fled. A damage report of all ships, revealed no major damage to any of the ships, however the McKinley took some minor damage during the fighting.
Afterwards, we were hailed by the leader of the people who sent out the distress call. It turns out, they are Lekaari. They were however driven from their homes. After a few minutes of conversation, it was revealed that they, possibly, know the location of Mjollnir. I asked them if they would like to join us back on Praetorian, where they would receive medical care, and whatever else they would need, in exchange for some minor information regarding Mjollnir. They accepted. However, at the time, the Arleigh Burke reported picking up 7 vessels heading for our position at an approximate speed of Warp 6. One of these signatures was then confirmed to be Mjollnir. I eventually ordered all ships to go back to Yellow Alert, and head back to Praetorian at maximum warp.
Whilst at Warp, Commander Ky'reth of the Nijmegen raised a concern regarding Mjollnir and our escape plan. It was possible that the oncoming Raiders were able to track our warp signatures, and track us back to Praetorian. However, there have been past situations where 26th vessels had engaged Lekaari raiders and/or Mjollnir itself without them being tracked back to Praetorian. However, I did feel it was a prudent course of action to warn you about the possibility.
When we arrived back at Praetorian, all the Lekaari aboard the Genesis and Nijmegen were transferred onto Capt. Rosewoods ship, the Avalon, due to Capt. Shadow'Wing having to depart again almost immediately.
So, Academy week is over, and that means Starbase 381 is again accepting over. We have plenty of events planned for January, so apply today and join us at Preatorian!

Subject: AAR - Distress Call - Lekaari Republic Vessel
Commodore,
On Stardate 91624.08 long range probes picked up what appeared to be comet passing through System FC 332, normally this wouldn't be something of worth to investigate but sensors showed that it was emitting a dense inversion field which for a comet is highly unusual. or so I was informed. Given the recent events I thought it prudent to get the Squad back out there and continue with our standard exploring missions in an attempt to bring normality back to the officers.
Commanders Dion and Ratek along with myself left the Starbase and set course to System FC 332 at a steady Warp 7, as per standing orders upon entering the Jhar'tha region we went to Yellow Alert and ensured that all comms were open and active scanners on full, upon entering FC 332 we were unable to locate the Comet designated CRF 445A so a further investigation deeper into the system was completed.
Due to the heavy gravimetric interference in the system sensors were limited and so the three vessels used a triangulation method to ensure that we didn't miss anything, when we reached our second search point within the system four lekaari Raider vessels were detected and almost immediately opened fire before opening hails were able to be made. All vessels went to Red Alert and the reminder to disable was again given, but as per usual the Raiders went to warp out of the system before they took any damage, this was probably down to the fact that they were the inferior force.
As the raiders warped out a faint distress signal was detected on the far side of the system, once we had been able to clear up the message it was apparent that the Raiders were trying to engage a Cargo Ship from the Lekaari Republic, the Firebird, McKinley and Vico immediately set an intercept course and engaged the Raider force, 3 raiders vessels were disabled but scans indicated that they had been boarded.
Two Away teams were assembled, Alpha Squad consisting of myself, Commanders Dion and Ratek along with two security officers, Lt Ima and Moht beamed into the main section of the Cargo Ship whilst Beta Squad took to the Cargo bays. We encountered 5 separate groups of Lekaari Raiders whilst sweeping the vicinity, prior to engaging the raiders all officers were ordered to ensure that weapons be kept on a heavy stun setting unless otherwise told so. We were able to overcome the five groups without injury to our personnel, it would appear that they lack any actual tactical training retaliated with sheer force rather than skill.
I regret to inform you that all of the crew from the Lekaari Republic were killed, 2 from exploding consoles and the other 4 from weapons fire that is similar to known raider usage, as the scouting of the ship commenced I had all the bodies transported back to the Vico to ensure that, in time, we can deliver them back to their government. Once all Raider boarding parties had been secured Commander Ratek and myself downloaded information from their navigational logs in an attempt to pinpoint the destination of the Cargo ship in hope that we can again make contact with the Republic. With the last scouting mission that was undertook by myself to make contact being unsuccessful and work is now under way to locate the system in which they were heading toward. When anything comes to light I will be in direct contact with you.
Beta team informed me that the cargo bays held vast quantities of water, an unknown type of grain and basic medical supplies, its no wonder that the raiders took an interest in this vessel, the spoils that they could have gained out weighed the risk of the attack. Commander Dion bought it to my attention that the console that she was working on was connected to the main engineering and that it appeared that the vessel was in the initial stages of a core breach. Upon closer examination and from our best understanding of their systems it was deemed appropriate that both away teams return and head to a safe distance in case the breach was as serious as we thought.
The Vico, Firebird and McKinley set course away from the Cargo vessel toward the outer rim of the system when four raiders dropped from warp pretty much on top of us and opened fire, they were using a hit and run tactic and it appeared that they were attempting to 'heard' us in a direction we did not want to go. This became clearly obvious why when a large vessel was detected approaching at warp 6, the 'Codename' Mjollnir was picked up on sensors by all three of our vessels and I gave the order to set course back to the 381 immediately at Warp 9 knowing that at present we still do not know enough to be able to take any offensive actions against it, our only defence being that we can outrun the thing.
Upon reaching 381 Commanders Dion, Ratek and myself held a full debrief on the situation in hand and have both been tasked with trying to decode any of the navigational data from the Cargo vessel, all 6 Republic personnel have been transported to the Morgue on the station and held in stasis until we can return them.
Once we have any new information on the navigational data I will be in contact, lets hope we can return their fallen people back to them in quick time.

Captains,
At Stardate 91648.93, elements of the 14th fleet, along with allied flotillas from the New Romulan and Klingon governments began their diversionary attack upon the Voth Fortress-ship. Even though they fought defensively, losses were still high throughout the three contributing forces, and I am afraid to inform the commanders of the 26th that USS Kathela, USS Kiruna, IKS Klothos, IKS TajHu and RRW D'Vrinn were all destroyed during the diversionary efforts, with many other ships either suffering heavy damage or being captured by Voth forces as they fought to buy us the time we needed. My thoughts go out to the families and friends of the crew of these vessels, as I am sure that yours will, too.
But I am pleased to say that their sacrifices were not in vain. At stardate 91648.99, a squadron of vessels from Task Force Avalon, with support from elements of Task Force Theirr and under the command of Commodore Samantha Vempati, began our own attack upon the Voth Fortress-Ship. With the Voth looking elsewhere, we were able to slip beneath the radar both figuratively and literally. Our attack on the compensatory SIF generators went without a hitch, and with their structural integrity so weakened, we were able to concentrate fire enough to force a breach in the outer hull close to their forward launching bay.
With the breach established, the task force was able to fly into the interior of the fortress ship and begin a disruptive attack upon interior defensive elements as we flew toward the main power generators, which the Voth did not possess enough internal defences to protect, enabling us to force a system overload. I am also pleased to announce that we were able to liberate seventeen vessels captured by the Voth over the course of Voth the earlier engagements. With their power systems crippled, the Fortress-Ship was forced to retreat not only away from Spire 3S-26 but, if intelligence is accurate, outside of the Sphere altogether.
Do the scale of this Voth setback, and the pressure that the Voth are facing from other allied elements operating elsewhere within the Dyson Sphere, it is considered unlikely that the Voth will be able to mount any equivalent attack for some considerable time. Therefore, with the aperture to the outback secured as we continue to reinforce the defenses of our captured spire, I am announcing that Task Force Avalon will be pulling back to resume normal operations within outback space. Transfer of local Sphere-Space command to Spire 3S-26 will be completed as soon as Admiral Howard is able to set up an operational command for the facility.
In closing, I must congratulate every man, woman, and gender-neutral being of the 26th for your dedication, and the courage and determination you have expressed under fire and threat. You have done the Federation and our allies proud with your actions.
Signed,

They say you can never go home again once you leave. I have of course in my decades of travel considered that saying to be a load of bollocks. It has been four days since my return from Earth and the tribunals and inquiries into the leading battle of SB381 and the movement of station and ships to the Outback. While the three months of verbal attack made me wish for the quicker death of a Klingon disruptor I found it all worthwhile to see the proud shape of Praetorian station, unbowed and unbroken upon my arrive into station space.
Despite the arguments and way I wish to throttle some of them sometimes it was good to get back to the people I consider family. It is strange thing in a career such as ours, we travel in ships capable of going hundreds of light years in all directions. It could be weeks or months until we see each other again, if we are so lucky to even come back from the strange wonders of space. But yet that infinitely small station in the grand scheme of things is our home. We board, we hug, we trade stories of what we have seen and I am glad to be part of it yet again.
They say sometimes you cannot go home again. I say psh to that. Home is where we make it. Home is where the family is. And on this ideal of mine I swear, I shall not rest until we all come home. Starfleet might wish to bury Corris to save face in the political game but we will bring him home. We have mended the broken beams, replaced the cracked windows and repaired the sensors. But Praetorian station will not be finished until Corris Sprint comes back to us.
Rhys thought he saw a Holo like this once when Admiral Kirk was addressing his ship crew about the V'ger event. Rhys felt nervous, he wondered if the greats felt nervous before they addressed so many people at once. He was a good second man, he thought to himself as he fumbled thru his notes. He had a lot to get thru and wondered how people would react once they got the news. He had put out the call around two AM for the Captains and Commanders to start getting people up and awake and bused over to the Shuttlebay of the Hartford. The amount of people on board the aged ship must have doubled. What was he to expect when he grabbed everyone he could think needed the news at that very moment. He knew most of them would be grouchy but he wouldn't have woken them if it wasn't important.
One of his crewmen had set up a small raised Podium for him to speak at that would override the usual chatter coming out of Comm Badges so that all aboard could hear what he has to say. For a moment he leaned back against the exposed metal girder that made up the ships skeleton, He thought about what had brought him here. Getting assigned here so many years ago with his wife and his Mentor. Same ratty ship, same stupid hair. But unlike the ship and his hair those two were gone. He thought about Admiral Hunter removed for doing who knows what, He remembered the old man Admiral whose name now. So much time and people he had to climb over. But here he was. He ran his fingers thru his hair and marched up to the podium. He gave his Comm badge a few clicks to get everyones attention. He looked over at the sea of assembled officers, Most of them the senior staff he had grown accustomed too. He reached back into his head and pulled out a rarely used skill. He slipped into the proper English accent he was forced to use once or twice and began to speak.
"At about Eleven hundred hours last night the ship taking Admiral Sprint back to us has been lost. It is not known at this time if it has simply fallen off the radar or if it has been attacked. Things are leaning toward the latter but I will keep all of you abreast with info as I get it. As you all know Admiral Sprint is the one the Klingon Empire blamed for the entire loss of the Armada that was due to bowl us over some months ago. Tensions between the Federation and the KDF have been tense due to this for ages. Right now the best thing you can do for Admiral Sprint is to say a quick prayer for him and continue at work.
The second item tonight is that Admiral Howard has also been recalled to Earth to deal with some Personal Emergency. So for the time being that puts me in total Charge of the Fleet. Not something I wanted but there you go. Not much is going to change, Mission will continue as always. Just stay loose incase things come down the drain which need to get altered. So for Admiral Sprint and Admiral Howard. I am asking you lot to continue to be excellent for me and for your Commanding officers. Now if you have a question about wus goin' on or what do we do now I'll take a question atta time en smooth things out for you"

Commodore,
On stardate 91711.91, the U.S.S. Kaiser received a distress call from a large Lekaari colony ship, which was relayed back to Praetorian. The distress call stated that the colony ship, along with 50 smaller vessels, was under attack by an unknown vessel, which was presumed to be Mjollnir, however the Kaiser was forced to retreat before they could bring us any specific details. Commander Parsons and myself had spent the last two weeks developing a tactical plan to stop Mjollnir, and where thus allowed to take command of the mission.
The U.S.S. McKinley, U.S.S. Vico, U.S.S. Arabalest and U.S.S. Ottawa departed Praetorian at 0000 hours and headed towards the last reported position of the Colony ship. As we arrived, we saw the Mjollnir and several of its escorts attacking the Lekaari refugee vessels. Quickly we stepped in, and presented the attacking vessels with some much more inviting targets. As Captain Gould was taking charge of the assault on the Lekaari escorts, along with the Ottawa, the Arabalest and McKinley were in the process of punching their way through Mjollnirs shields. Mjollnirs shields were however stronger than first anticipated. After a few minutes of shooting, Commander Parsons ordered a spread of torpedoes on their outer docking bay. Once this was done, we were presented with a window of opportunity to lead the proposed assault on Mjollnir.
I beamed over to the Arabalest, where Commander Parsons and myself boarded a Peregrine fighter and headed towards the hole in their hull. We got through without any major problems, however the fighter took a small amount of damage. Once we were inside, Commander Parsons headed to the bridge to disengage the lockouts to the Engine room. Meanwhile, myself and Ensign Redshirt headed towards the Engineering deck. Having to withstand heavy resistance, we got there in one piece however. As Parsons was successful in unlocking the lockouts, Ensign Redshirt and myself started to plant the charges along the ships warp core. We were however ambushed by a group of Lekaari officers, and Ensign Redshirt was unfortunately shot and killed during the ambush.
As I was finishing off planting the charges, I was ambushed once again. This time by a group of Lekaari and a Lekaari Commando, approximately twice the size of a regular Lekaari. As I was about to take a shot, phaser fire was blasting through the door and the ambush party dropped to the floor. As I was knocked over, Parsons came over to help me up. Just as he was about to extend his hand, a large blade came ripping through his chest. Clearly startled, I picked up my weapon taking aim at the Commando, but it was knocked out of my hand. As a last resort, I drew the knife from my belt, taking a stab at him. I was however too slow, and my hand was caught by his blade and was severed. As I was trying to control my pain, I picked up my knife to take another swing at him. As I was about to, a Lekaari officer came through the door and shot me twice in the back. I dropped to the floor, semi conscious. As the Lekaari Commando was hovering over me, about to give me the death blow, Parsons gathered his strength, picked up a weapon and shot both the Lekaari officer and the Commando just as he was about to take his last stab at me.
As Commander Parsons and myself were clearly in a very bad condition, we managed to limp our way back to the fighter. As we signaled Captain Gould to withdraw the vessels to a safe distance, we emerged from the hole in Mjollnir and I pushed the button to remote detonate the spatial charges. We were beamed aboard the Vico's sickbay. The next thing I remember is waking up in sickbay aboard Praetorian, in pain, but alive.
Should there be any questions and/or comments regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Gentlemen,
A recent communication from Starfleet has updated me on a growing concern facing the Federation. One or possibly more Terrorists have begun a campaign of Terror to several key Starfleet planets and platforms. This group of Terrorists have left several cryptic messages that so far the Federation has had spotty success trying to decrypt and head off this group. Starfleet has offered this mission docket to every Officer we have in an attempt to unkey this Information and save lives. We all come from different planets and cultures, perhaps something will pop out to a Vulcan that would not for a Human. Any updates of intel can be forwarded to me so we can catch these criminals.

SUBJECT: Lakaari Republic Vessel Encounter
On Stardate 91716.42, while returning from a mission to resupply the 26th Fleet Spire in Dyson Sphere, the U.S.S. Sisko picked up a low powered emission from what seemed to be a distressed vessel, nearly 10 light years away from our position. When asked my opinion by Commander S?uvok, I suggested we change course to verify the situation, and lend assistance if needed, to which the Commander agreed.
Once closer to the signal, Lieutenant Newton, who was on loan from the Starbase, and Lieutenant Maris were able to scan and verify that the emissions were coming from a Lakaari Vessel that matched characteristics of the ship Codename: Mjolnir, and appeared to be the type used to construct that vessel, though unrelated directly, we decided to take caution, Commander S?uvok calling for us to go the Yellow Alert, with shields raised.
I made attempts to hail the vessel, though the signal sent from it was too faint to be deciphered by the Sisko, the Lakaari Vessel?s power output being extremely low. I informed the Commander that if we were to have a chance to speak with whoever might be on the vessel, we would have to approach it at a much closer proximity.
Newton and Maris coordinated, both providing a full sensor sweep of the vessel, and verifying what they had found. Main Power and Life Support were non-existent, while other key systems such as the computer core and other secondary systems were barely functional. Maris alerted us that the bulk of the ship?s remaining power was being diverted from its core systems to a holo-emitter grid that seemed to be drawing the power. I ordered Newton to scan for Bio Signatures, to which he informed me that there were no living crewmembers on the vessel. This was somewhat baffling considering that we had finally made communications contact with the vessel, and we had verified that the signal we were receiving was a live broadcast, not a recording. Still the only biomatter on the ship at all were what appeared to be the mummified remains of the crew. Odder still was that the scans alerted us to the fact that the ship, and the dead crewmembers were over three centuries old.
Commander S?uvok ordered the Sisko into a safe tactical position, after I had suggested we take an away team to the Lakaari vessel for a more detailed observation. He concurred and assembled a team consisting of Lieutenants Maris, Newton and D?Jongo, with myself as the team leader. Once transported aboard the vessel, I instructed Newton and Maris to take detailed scans of the vessel to attempt to better determine its status, and ordered D?Jongo to locate and upload the vessel?s computer library to the Sisko?s databanks for later study. I specifically had Maris and Newton search for the holo-emitter grid that was drawing so much of the ship?s remaining resources to determine why and what its purpose was.
Maris discovered that the vessel?s equivalent to an EPS grid had recently suffered a surge that prevented function to the holo-grid, and I ordered it repaired. Newton informed us that the grid itself was in disrepair, but that there were serviceable sections of it in a deeper location within the ship. We made haste to the location, after Maris had restored power to the system.
Once there I accessed the communications logs, and had D?Jongo begin the uplink to send the vessel?s computer library to the Sisko. Newton was able to activate the holographic system with Maris? assistance. The communications logs showed that a message for assistance had been sent at ever decreasing intervals over the last 300 years. The message itself was too highly corrupted to be determined fully, though I assumed it was a distress call of some sort, as it seemed the most logical explanation. What could be understood spoke of a diaspora of force, the cause of the Lakaari downfall and ships being lost from a greater convoy.
It seemed as if the uplink to the Sisko and the transfer of the data of the library activated an Emergency Command Hologram on the vessel, it referred to itself as ?Jzuron Garakis 1?. I attempted to verbally interface with the hologram, to inform it of who we were and why we were there. The program informed us that it was under a set of predetermined protocols, and that its primary concern was to repair the vessel and return it to its flotilla. There was clearly a data corruption in the hologram?s programming that was verified by the members of my team, and I ordered them to attempt repair the issue, though I was informed that the system was too old, and the data too badly damaged to do so.
It was at that time that we were contacted by Commander S?uvok, though the signal was very degraded, and difficult to understand. Maris made several attempts to raise the Sisko on coms, and finally we were able to at least hear that the Sisko was now in a state of almost complete systems failure, seemingly caused by the uplink of data from the Lakaari vessel?s library.
While attempting to decide a course of action with my team, the Lakaari hologram asserted that we had been conscripted into the Lakaari Republic, and were to assist it in the repaired it was mandated to perform, due to its command programming. We tried to reason with the program, and even suggested it allow us to contact a member of the Lakaari Republic?s government, so that it might verify the errors in its reasoning. It denied us the option, and activated the Sisko?s auto-destruct countdown, though I was able to reason with it enough, with the assistance of Newton to restore some life support functions to the Sisko though a very minimal amount, and stop its destruction..
Maris informed me that there was an option to completely delete the hologram, and that doing so might resolve the issue, though he could not be completely sure. I told him to keep the option open as a last resort, as Newton felt the Lakaari hologram had passed the threshold for self-awareness in it?s over three centuries of activity, and was by that standard alive. While unconvinced of that notion, I was unwilling to destroy what could be considered a life, without seeing to every other reasonable option first.
At that time it read off a series of priorities for repair, but then oddly altered the list to focus mostly on its own core system, seemingly more concerned with its continued function. It was then when I came up with an idea to confuse the hologram into submission. I asked the Lakaari hologram to pull up the data on it?s creator. Using Newton?s holographic nature, and the excuse that we were repairing its grid, Maris caused the hologram to lose its ability to see or hear, and Newton assumed the role of the designer of the Lakaari hologram, based on the information for the computer.
During the conversation between the holograms it was noted by both D?Jongo and Maris that there was a large amount of data going through the computer core?s systems, specifically devoted to the hologram?s system, and that it was on the potential of failing completely. The hologram was clearly starting to suffer greater corruption and was on the verge of failing. Newton on his own accord decided to save the hologram?s code in his tricorder. I felt that if the system failed on its own before we could end it ourselves, we might not be able to save the Sisko, so I gave the order to Maris to deactivate the hologram completely, and he complied.
We then attempted to contact the Sisko, and were able to, transporting back we discovered that the systems had been restored, seemingly at the time the Lakaari hologram was deactivated. I suggested that the Sisko tow the Lakaari vessel back to Praetorian for study and repair, and the Commander agreed.
Is anyone left on your fleet, I tried to join but your system seems bonked right now, no one to explain what to do, is your fleet only RP or none RP players can join, I tried to ask but someone very rude told me to fill the application.
Plenty of folks left in the 26th, I assure you. However, we ask all applicants to fill out the application. We're a role play fleet, I don't think we'd be the proper fleet for someone with no interest in the hobby
Cool, thanks for the quick response, I wish you all quick recovery and hopefully the 26th will rise as the Phoneix from the ashes to be bigger and better than ever.
The silence was killing them. The explosion rocked them all, some wounded to the point of tears, self doubt and second guessing was natural. The silence that followed the violence was deafening. Bated breath- that's what it is. Often confused with the stillness of death. These last two days have been the painful labors of birth, not death throes that some might expect. From the pain, confusion and anarchy of the last twenty four hours new life has been born to this RP Community. A new Role-Play fleet has become available to the fine denizens of Star Trek Online. Our population just increased by one.
Everything from churches to wild dog packs eventually grow so large that there are too many opinions to field realistically. Despite what was or was not said behind the scenes what I gather from this is there was a group of people who had a difference in opinion on whatever and went off on their own to see that vision come to light. Any recent disagreements was simply the catalyst... they needed to give cause to their departure. Nothing said or done could have prevented this as it is, once again, natural. Now we find ourselves in a community that is even more of a single mindset
The question is, what happens now? Now that the pain and confusion are gone, there is only clarity of purpose- a drive to pick ourselves up again and continue on. The 26th Fleet is large enough to survive the body blow delivered to us by our very own and thrive. The RP Community has spoken in droves, you love the 26th. From the increase of OSB traffic to the outpouring of support from our allies and our foes alike.
The 26th Fleet is here to stay.
New and old members alike are standing to take up the mantle and responsibility of Fleet Officer, some returning to our fleet from retirement to see their family rise to the challenge that has been placed before us. New story tellers are crafting plots and adventures, not just for the members of the 26th Fleet, but for the entirety of the RP Community. The Community that brought you the Open Starbase Project is working with Cryptic to host quarterly RP Roundtables, expand the Open Starbase Project to new fleets and initiate a new yearly event for the players of Star Trek Online.
In order to achieve our goals, we're closing recruiting for the 26th Fleet. We're going to take this opportunity to make refinements to the fleet's information distribution and storage, positions to refill and officers to train. We have our work cut out for us, but it's a challenge that the officers and crew of the 26th fleet are eager to accept.

Subject: DS9 Investigation
Admiral,
Per your request, the U.S.S. Paradox and Jackson left Starbase 381 for Deep Space Nine yesterday morning. I myself led the Operation. We arrived earlier today in the Malon system, in the Bajoran sector of the Beta Ursae Sector Block. Awaiting our arrival in the system was the Fleet of Federation ships. We entered cautiously but were soon in the company of Allies. We joined the Fleet's formation before opening a three-way channel between the Paradox, Jackson and the Fleet's flagship - the U.S.S. Chiron. It was commanded by Admiral Krox, who therefore was in command of the Fleet and took control over our ships as soon as we took our positions in the Formation of the Fleet.
In the little time we had, Admiral Krox wasted no time to explain the situation to us. They were still unaware of the exact reason of why the attack had occured, however, the most likely possibility was that something had happened during the ongoing conference on Deep Space Nine between Starfleet, Klingon, Cardassian, Romulan and Reman major powers. However, the Romulan Fleet that were attacking had been identified as loyal to the Tal Shiar. The Paradox and Jackson were ordered to, as soon as we arrived at the Deep Space Nine system, to break the attacks then find out what had happened whilst the remainder of the Fleet would take a defensive position around the station to ensure that if there were anymore attacks, Deep Space Nine would not be damaged.
The Fleet warped in together at warp seven. We were there quickly and immediately began spanning out to defeat the attackers. Although a diplomatic resolution is what we would of course have hoped for, due to the Romulan Fleet already attacking the base, we were forced to initiate Red Alert protocol and engage them. The Chiron led the battle at first, with the other vessels following suit. After a hard fought battle, we managed to defeat the armada of ships. All but one were destroyed. The three-way channel was reopened and the Admiral was quick to congratulate us on the result. The damage taken by our two ships is shown here:
26th Vessels Damage taken from the Vessels
U.S.S. Paradox Minor damage to Shields and Hull. Seven injured crew.
U.S.S. Jackson Minor damage to Shields. Four injured crew.
The other Federation Fleet's ships' damage taken during this incident hasn't been reported to us, however Admiral, if you wish to examine the damage I am sure that Starfleet will be more than willing to comply. After a short time of being on the channel, the Jackson's Chief Science Officer (Lieutenant Commander Laurel Tucker) interrupted Admiral Krox to notify us of something that we had missed in the heat of battle. The Lieutenant Commander correctly identified that none of our sensors were showing the debris that should have obviously appeared as soon as they were destroyed. Confused at why this could possibly have happened, the Admiral ordered all ships to run a diagnostic on our sensor arrays. After we all had completed, each ship reported to the Admiral and I with the same result. All ship's arrays were working just as well as before we left the Malon system. Perfectly. We discussed the matter quickly before the Admiral decided on our next plan of action. He suggested that I lead an Away Team to the last remaining Romulan ship in orbit.
Accompanying me on the Away Team was Commander Smith, Lieutenant Commander Tucker, Commander Buis (My First Officer) and Commander Naser (My Chief of Security). As soon as we arrived on the ships lower decks, the deck which seemed to be the most sustainable deck in terms of life support, a power coupling erupted above us. The room surrounded in flames and electrical wiring, we were lucky to reach a ramp which lead to an undamaged platform. Lying in a pool of blood, misery and pain was the ship's first officer. Her name was N'alae and her rank Subcommander. She was critically injured and my time with her was draining. I quickly ordered Commander Buis to search their computer whilst Commander Naser secured the area. Unfortunately, the computer was fried and we were unable to receive any information what so ever. However, whilst Commander Smith and Tucker were examining the body of another officer, I crept down to the Subcommander's level to hear some very disturbing things. She told me that we "killed them in a plot worthy of a romulan". Then that "it was made to look like they were attacking DS9". "The alliance will crumble", and she told "Tolar not to side with them". Unfortunately she died; her wounds being fatal
What she told us was still riddles, and we didn't have the time to work them out. Admiral Krox hailed us and told us we were needed on Deep Space Nine immediately, in the meantime, the Fleet would be continuing their defensive perimeter. Captain James Kurland, an old friend of mine and the current CO of the station, would be waiting for us to fill us in on the new situation. We beamed out and walked into the damaged Conference room on Deep Space Nine. Kurland was there and he told us what had happened. They had captured Admirals Admiral Gagarin and Ivanoff after killing Admiral Victor Jackson. Kurland said he was killed by a Disruptor blast from close ranged. Commander Smith suggested we view the body and I agreed.
The bodies injuries were as James described. Consistent of blaster damage. However, something he hadn't picked up on was bruises located on the Admiral's wrists. These are most likely here because he was bounded down by his captors. Commander Naser spoke to me afterwards, saying that her view of his death was an execution. We were about to give up on the search, but luckily our scanners discovered a power source emerging from his Jacket. We found out he had a PADD stored there which was still running. On it, it said only one word. One name:
"Jerickson"
Neither I or Commander Smith recognised the name, however it sounded familiar in a way that I shouldn't have known of it purposely. Captain Kurland also didn't know, so as soon the power was restored, we used the Computer to cross reference his name with the Starfleet Archives. Here is what we found:

Potentially, Captain Jerrickson is trying to get some kind of revenge on those Admirals who helped the case that lost him his rank. However, we cannot be sure just yet. But, the outcome of this assignment has revealed a possible threat to us nevertheless. The attackers were found to be photonic and used the stations power to display making them appear to be Romulan. The bodies left on the Station may suggest otherwise in terms of whether the Romulans were involved or not, but since they are not accustom to sacrificing their senior officers in the field, it seems to suggest that they may not have been involved. The conference on Deep space Nine was a victim of a very clever individual or group who played the part of trying to wrongly convince and sway our focus from the truth.
Admiral, sir, I would like permission to continue to be involved in this particular investigation. As of now, the Paradox and Jackson are in orbit of Deep Space Nine and are awaiting your next orders.

The following took place on Stardate 91726.93 at Starfleet Academys Miramar Base. Also better known as Top Gun campus.
Golden Boy stepped off the shuttle with his sunglasses on, the glare in full lenses flare as he makes his way to the main administration building. The base was vibrant the light blue flight suits thats been standard for cadets for the last decade. He looks around seeing many worried faces, not on the faces of cadets but on the faces of instructors and pilots. Golden Boy straightens his khaki pants and adjusts the collar on his half way closed jacket. As he took long strides towards the main hangar whispers and pointing start to occur, all of them at Golden Boys direction. He didnt know their names but he they knew his. Golden Boy.
The dual-sliding doors to Captain Kesslers office slid open. A familiar face steps in with his flaring sunglasses; etched into the side of his glasses it read Golden Boy. He steps forward into the room to find an Andorian Captain. The Human Captains name embroidered into his jacket. The legendary Captain Kessler. The Andorian carried no name tag but instead seemed to have traded it for a smug look. Both figures turn to look at Golden Boy, the antennas wiggle in curiosity as the Andorian male stares him down. Golden Boy stares down the Andorian already knowing who he is. He drops his bags to the ground and salutes both Captains Golden Boy reporting as requested Captain. The Human male waves him off Cut the act Golden Boy the human male stands up from his desk dropping his large PADD. Golden Boydrops the salute and stands at ease. The human Captain looks up at the Andorian Captain for a second before moving directly in front of Golden Boy Excuse me. The Captains boots make a familiar clicking sound to Golden Boy. The same sound he smirked at every time Captain Kessler made his way down the line to inspect his pilots. Captain Kessler puts both hands on Golden Boys shoulders Glad you made it back safe son. You had me worried when 381 fell off the map. Golden boy returns the Captain's greeting with a nod Im too stubborn to die like that sir. Kessler nods Outstanding. Golden Boy grabs his hand and shakes it firmly, both their eyes meet as Golden Boy lets go. Kluw retracts his hand and looks to Kessler I will be in the research hub. The Vipers will be ready to go tomorrow, well see if Golden Boy here is everything you said he is. Kluw exits the room. Kessler motions for Golden Boy to follow him to his desk. Golden Boy drops his bags next to the door as he makes his way towards the desk, he quickly sits down as soon as Kessler sits Commander Im sure you know why youre here Golden Boy nods Ive been informed of the new fighters but why drag me all the way out from 381? Golden Boy responds quickly A whole lot of heart and guts. Kessler Nods Commander .Sandman lost to a computer. Theyre trying to implement a new AI system into our fighters. They claim that theyre faster, smarter, and overall better. I need someone to show them that it takes more than a bucket of bolts to fly a fighter it takes a living breathing heart.

This shouldn't take long.
Go Boldly...
