Quickest way to install STO on a 2nd computer?

I want to install a 2nd copy of STO on my laptop but dont really want to spend hours downloading 10gigs worth of game....now I have a 16gig flash drive so I was wondering if there was a way to copy the bulk of the game from one computer to the other?

If there is then what do i need to install and what do i need to copy?

    if you have ONLY the Live server (Holodeck) then you should be fine with a 16 gb usb drive...though it would probably take awhile to copy to the drive then paste it.

    however if you also have the Test (Tribble) server then you would need a 32 gb usb drive...

    that being said, depending on your internet speed and cryptics uploading, i would suggest installing it and updating overnight if possible. This is probably the best way...at least it was for me when i had to reinstall.

    when I check the size of the entire STO folder (as i use the steam version due to ease of use for zen) I come out at 22 GBs, but that is because i have both holodeck and tribble shards.

    If you already have a system with a working copy of STO, you can do the following.
    • Run the installation program on the laptop to set up the regsitry entries and directory file permissions.
    • Abort the file download when it starts.
    • Copy over the STO directory via USB flash from your source system.
