Emergency Maintenance (May 22, 2013 - 5:30PM - 7PM PDT) [Complete!]

Hi Captains,

We will be bringing down Star Trek Online in 27 minutes for emergency maintenance -- we expect this maintenance to only last for 1.5 hours. The test server may also be unavailable during this time.

The goal of this maintenance is for general performance improvements, as well as fixing a bug with Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills.

    C'mon, we all know general performance improvements doesn't mean anything anymore. :P

    But kudos for the skill fix.

    Any chance you'll make Jem'Hadar fighter hangars and especially attack ship hangars available for purchase again?

    Sigh....I get to queue number 650 after an hour waiting, and they do this.

    Guess it's another night without STO.

    I hope you will fix nukara's upgrade project cancelling issue with this patch ^_^

    Right in the middle of US prime time is an interesting choice of times to bring the game down for 2 hours for what seems to be a minor patch unless those general performance improvements are pretty significant.

    Sucks for people who finally got in after waiting in the multiple-hour queue.

    I don't know about that, the in-game performance for the last 2 hours or so has been phenomenal, at least.

    Wow, again? I truly hope Cryptic learn from this, but I doubt it. They didn't learn from the hundreds of times before, hence a lack of multiple servers without running everything on one system.

    Is this patch expected to increase the maximum number of players in-game, and thus reduce the queue size?

    Can you please tell us HOW you're "working to get us in-game as soon as possible?" You could say something like "We are installing new hardware to deal with this increase." Or perhaps "We have developers working on software changes to expand the amount of players the servers can hold without compromising lag."

    I'm not asking for a lot here, just give me something.

    Also, can we please have some clarification as to whether the 100-item mail limit is "working as intended" or a bug?

    so i stay 2hours in the queue... i log in into the game play 5 mins and read a message that the game will be down in 30 mins... are you kidding with me?
    DO NOT MAKE FUN OF US PLAYERS!!!!
    and yes im a F2P player that putted more than 600 euros on the game....

    This is getting ridiculous... You all hiring? I think you need help... -.- You wanna know the ironic thing? I was literally *seconds* from buying a gold membership when I FINALLY logged in and got the alert about shard maintenance. I immediately clicked "cancel". Saved by the bell.
