Crashing when patching

Hi guys,

Anyone had this problem.

Left the game downloading the prepatch last night, switched the monitor off and went to bed. Got up this morning - cryptic error report on the screen.

Went back into and out of STO, and it started patching again. This time I made sure computer didn't go into screensaver, sleep or anything. Have now once again got the Crypic error reporting thing on my screen.

Anyone had a problem or found a resolution?

Is there another way to patch this, as while it could be third time lucky - I'm not confident just starting the patch again with how long it takes.

    i have had the same problem patched it then pops up with cryptic error for the patch
    iv tried and tried and still can not do it

    I have seen this issue as well i do not know way this happens but it does.

    I have the exact same. It happens every time in the prepatch process. I had it also when I was on Tribble and then it didn't let me load Holodeck, always crashed when trying to process to the "Engage" status. So I uninstalled the entire game, redownloaded every single file, and then I managed to get Holodeck working again. However, now of course all my Tribble files are gone as I suspected them to be in error. Now it's the crash syndrom with prepatching. Really nice. This launcher has not played mad with me for the first time. It happened many times before in previous seasonal patches.

    I'm having the exact same problem. I've tried it 5 plus times and it crashes every time. It seems to be downloading less and less between the crashes.

    It got to 64% one time and crashed. Now it does it within seconds.

    I'm downloading at 10-11MBps and it took hours to get to the 64%.

    The launcher is still CL 17 05 (I hoped it would turn to 19 05 or something). As long as that version is not updated, I won't attempt it any further.
