Nukara Reinforcements - Elite Reprogrammed Drones made to kill ground pvp?

Been testing a bit with those Elite Reprogrammed Drones in PvP on tribble and must say those are about the worst thing they could have added to the ground game.

PvP is all about being able to counter and fight back opponents, the relativity stasis pistol is mostly considered lame within the ground pvp scene for its long lasting non counterable stun which is sort of OP cause you can easily deploy mines or bombs below your helpless victim - but at least this pistol makes the victim invulnerable within that 10 seconds the stun lasts so your team has a chance to rescue you... not so those new drones.

The stasis drone stun can't be countered by hypos and there is no invulnerability in place at all so the victim is totally helpless and easily killed while the only way to break-free seems to be this new 3-minutes cooldown trait break-free from mental discipline.

If that goes to holodeck like that the ground game will turn into battle of the drones, whoever has more wins. Thats just wrong and needs some serious tweaking.

I honestly haven't tested these drones yet, but I was wondering are they like the other Tholian Stasis Drones where you can shoot the little cocoon in order to free the target? If so, they could actually promote teamwork in PvP since the only way to get by would be with a little help from your friends. If the stasis cocoon can't be disrupted by shooting it... yeah, that is a problem.

With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

remember the stasis stun gun with the bug where you could die if someone put weapon malfuction to disable your guns on you?

    well its that, but worse

Teamplay is the counter to teamplay, its shouldn't be the only counter to an ability used by one person.

In a teamplay scenario.. both teams will just spam those drones, because pvp is a number game, if i can make 3/4 of the opposing team just look at their screen not able to do anything just by coordinating drone attacks then its the way to go.. but that will be no fun to anyone, cause pvp is all about actually fighting.

Im pretty sure that turning ground into a war of drones/stasis (especially considering how much people cry about the stasis pistol now already, and this one is way worse) will have a big impact on the ground pvp playing population.

Totally, I'm seeing this as a big issue.

What about attaching Stasis resistances to Willpower?. This way the Stasis Pistol is not totally OP and the Drones remain usable with a small disable period.

I like this idea. It would make specing into willpower more important and diversify builds more.

And the best of all, it will not make the Drones useless in PvE.

Kill Ground PvP? More like the cheery at the top.

Outside of these new Tholian Drones, for the past year we had to contend with armies of Security Escorts, and multiple drones and turrets. The Romulan or Reman summons. Even old-school STO PvPers I know, stopped playing because it just got too ridculous and went to other games for their PvP fix.

Just wish Borticus or whomever is responsible for PvP would just make a 2-value system where some things in PvP don't work or is less effective than in PvE. But who am I kidding, people been asking for this for years. :(
